Took my son here to get his hair cut, nothing fancy just trim the sides and top. His hair is uneven mess, she trimmed a square around the ears. Took the lady 5 minutes to cut and it cost 25 dollars for a absolute botch job. Lady's attitude and energy was terrible to be around as well. read more

We recently moved to Oak Harbor and I needed a haircut after arriving. I went here and had a good experience with Courtney who cut my hair. Today (9/18/18) my husband and I both dropped in for haircuts. We were asked if we had made an appointment which we did not. I didn't make an appointment because I was informed my first visit a customer could only make an appointment for the same day. Crystal cut my hair and it seemed quick but I thought it would be okay but when I got home and my hair dried ( she had sprayed my hair with water and did not blow dry it at all) I realized it was not a good haircut in that one side is noticeably longer than the other. It was also choppy. My husband did not fare any better. Heather was the stylist for my husband's haircut. She seated my husband and wet his hair when a walk-in woman arrived to purchase products but not to get services. Heather immediately went to the woman and left my husband sitting there while she waited on the woman and stood there continuing to discuss products with her as well as going to look for products for her. I mentioned to Crystal that I think my husband fell asleep when he said he was awake but forgot why he came thinking Heather would realize he was commenting on her rudeness keeping him waiting so long while he was there before the walk-in and was already in her chair. No such luck. Back to Sports Clips for my husband and I will continue my search for a new place to get a good haircut. read more

worst haircut in my life. the person used one hand to hold sections of my hair back instead of clips, and cut the hair without guiding it one handed. they poked me in the eye multiple times with scissors. my fringe was awful and the whole cut was uneven. my partner got their hair cur as well and that stylist wasn't any better. I reached out to Supercuts and no one called me back to make it right. Waste of $70. read more

Edit: I waited for a total time of 50 minutes, as always, I was 10 minutes early......so again, why make an appointment? I was told the appointment is considered a "round about" time. My cut was exactly what I wanted and I was ready to continue my day when I was finished. I was visiting family and decided to get the kiddos hair cut. I usually use supercuts but have never been to this location. They were very busy but I was addressed within seconds of walking in and was told the approximate wait time. We checked in and ran a few errands. We came back earlier and we're able to get the cuts started even earlier then the expected time. Huge plus for this busy single mom. Both stylists were extremely friendly and made sure they fully understood what types of cuts were needed. Usually I don't have any complaints but this time I was disappointed. You would expect to have hair stylist that at least takes care of their own hair. My stylist was clearly high on whatever drugs she was smoking, all over the place, slurring her words, didn't look clean at all. I wanted to give her a chance but I regret it. If you go in DO NOT GET THE STYLIST THAT HAS CHOPPY PINK HAIR. I will not be returning. If they trust and have confidence in an employee that shows up to work the way she does and works the way she does, I don't want their service. read more

Playing catchup to this monstrosity. My experience here is pretty dismal. I used to go here a few years back well... 8 to 9 years back and the cuts were just average, nothing to write home about. Then came the great day of walking in and seeing all the ladies, yes every single woman barber or stylist, whatever you want to call them, chatting away at one sitting in one of the chairs. I stood and stared as the only customer in the place. They peered over and continued their conversation. Paula is an artist. I had a bad cut elsewhere and didn't think there was much she could do, and she shaped it, and made it look better than cuts I've had at high-priced salons. She has a feel for hair and how it will go with your face and adds little touches beyond which most people would stop and get on with the next customer. Does one wait there? Yes. Because each person is getting the full attention of the stylist. It's not a car wash. And it's a drop in service not an appointment service. This was my first time there and I stopped in on a whim to get my sons long over due haircut. We got there at 6 and was told there were several 6 o'clock appointments but we could hang out and see if we could get squeezed in. They were extremely busy but very polite and courteous and even had to turn people away, which I'm sure no hair dresser ever wants to do. As people came in they would tell them they were booked for day and they proceeded to hand out coupons and apologize. We ended up being the last appointment and Courtney was fantastic. She didn't hurry or treat us like we were making here work past closing time, even thought it was 30 minutes past closing time. I will definitely be back. You don't seem to get good customer service anywhere so I will happily wait to be treated like my business matters. read more

Unlike a lot of people, I don't expect the person cutting my hair to be a para-psychologist , or be interested in the details of my daily life. After my first visit, I though "great, an affordable place to get a quick, decent cut". I was given a card and told to use the call ahead service for my convenience in the future. Today I called ahead to see if I could be seen in 40 minutes by a specific person and was told no problem. When I arrived I was not greeted and saw that maybe I would not be seen anytime soon. When I asked a worker there, I was told by the person I wanted to see that it would "be awhile" with an eye roll and the other gal told me she was going on a lunch break. I work hard all day on my feet. I understand having a bad day, but I can't justify spending my money or my precious time being treated so poorly. read more

I have to now go somewhere more expensive to have MORE cut off to get it to look half way decent. So, there is one thing you need to understand bout this place. It has a constantly evolving staff of stylist. When they first opened years ago I had a bad cut here. You can go here one year and get a great cut, come a few years later and get a not so great one..But as of early 2015, me and my mom both have gotten some great cuts here. I had a cut from a more pricey salon up the street (I wont say its name but it starts with an A) "fixed" here and I was VERY pleased with how thorough the young man was. (I think his name was David? Skinny hipster looking kid with black hair) I was a bit worried at first when he seated me..last cut I got by a man was awful. But he was SO thorough and took his time with my thick, curly long hair. He was just awesome and I highly recommend him! I went home feeling awesome about my hair which isnt always the case when you have super thick curly hair..Its either hit or miss, some stylists are lazy and send me home with wet, poofed out half-straightend hair that is embarassing. It takes at least a good 30-40 minutes just so flat iron my hair! He took his time and assured that I was happy with the layers in the cut before he took the apron off.
