Usually get a tapered fringe and pay good money to get the style I want.,.. well with the holidays and having some grow out I came here for a "clean up" she took a 90.00 professional stylist job and hacked it into making me look like I'm about to join the army If she would have asked prior to taking chunks of hair what my preference was I would have spoke up but nope she just did what she wanted It will take months for me to grow length/bulk back so I can achieve a fringe look again. read more

I can usually deal with a bad haircut. I can usually manage a style to hide imperfections and I'm typically not very picky. But this time I have to step up and say something. It's not easy for me to find a chance to escape the house for a haircut. When I do, Great Clips is usually the only place available late in the evenings with short notice availability. Today I waited over 100 minutes. That's fine - I was ok to wait especially with the app check-in. I started with a shampoo. I'll just say, I've only had a decent shampoo at ANY Great Clips once, so this time it was "as expected". The stylist asked me what I'd like, and I explained that I wanted to add some layers but keep them long. She began to comb, and comb, and comb...., then comb, comb, comb, .....comb, comb, comb, comb, comb, comb, comb....... One small snip. When she was combing, it wasn't even thorough combing. She was only combing one side so the other side was not straight and taut. She sectioned my hair in 4 pieces total, combed it all to the top of my head, grabbed it in a fist, as she did so, most of my hair fell out of her hand and all she was left with was my shorter layers and snipped one time at the top. I think for the time I was there, she spent 90% combing, 7% shampooing, 2% spraying detangler, and 1% snipping. I counted 12 snips total for my entire head of hair. Anyone who knows my hair knows I have A LOT of hair. When she was done, there was less hair on the floor than a child getting their hair cut. I pointed it out to her and she said all my hair fell in her pockets .... I'm sorry, but normally when I get my hair cut it sweeps into a pile the size of a small animal. Before leaving, I pointed out to her how uneven the ends were and she said that was how she was taught to do hair and I should come back and they would redo it for free. This blew my mind. This is horrible logic and work ethic!!! There was no arguing with someone who honestly could not see the fault in their work. I just want my money back. I do not want to go back to have them try to fix it. I don't have confidence it will get done right. Instead, I will have to wait 3 days until my husband can take off work early to watch our kid so I can get it fixed somewhere else, and in the meantime, I get to go to work like this.... And the grocery store, .... and my daughters school, ..... and to the gym...... plus the cost of his time off work, and the price to pay someone else to fix it. In my opinion, $19.00 is too much for a hair cut at this place. I forgot to mention the ungodly amount of leave in conditioner and detangler she used on my hair that is now itching like crazy! It's 1AM, I have to be up for work in 3 hours, and I can't sleep because I'm so upset about the horrible haircut and itchy head I got tonight. Bottom line is, I will NOT be back. read more

Highly WOULD NOT recommend this place. I took my 3 year old son in for a simple low fade haircut and a trim on top. He came out with a high "lack-of-fade" and half his hair on top chopped off. Instead of the "non-barber" acknowledging she butchered the cut, she kept going and proceeded to make it worse beyond repair. My kid is a toddler and this wasn't his first haircut. This was by far the worst cut he's ever had, and he's had quite a few. There was no line, it wasn't busy, so there wasn't really any reasoning as to why she couldn't take her time and actually put forth some sort of effort and focus to doing what she's, sadly, paid to do. read more

Went in to cute my hair after like 6 months. Pham was absolutely amazing! She was very sweet and I can tell she knew what she was doing. I asked for long layers and a little cute off on length. She explained to me the different layers she can make and how they would look like. Loved the end result! She also offered product to protect my hair since I always blow dry. I'll be honest I just got one of the most mediocre haircuts of my life. The stylist didn't use the disposable cloth that goes around your neck between you and the gown, she also didn't blow dry or brush the loose hair off me at the end. As far as the haircut, I went in with a picture of the style I've gotten for at least 5 years now and knowledge of the guard number and problem arias (cowlicks). The styles completely disregarded my requests for these arias where I prefer the hair to be longer in order to "match the style". Needless to say I am now forced to use product daily in order to keep my hair from sticking up. I do not plan to return here. read more

This location of Great Clips generally does a good job with my haircut which is pretty simple but they do a good job with it. The wait isn't usually very long and the online check in is really nice so you can wait until its your turn to even show up to the salon. read more

Great Clips is cool for what it is. I got tired of paying big bucks for my hair cuts...I mean I am a guy so it's pretty basic stuff. The girls are great there but...BIG WARNING...stay away from the red head behind the cash register. Every time I am there she is salty and almost every time someone has come in and had her fix something from a haircut she gave. I haven't sat there...and have major anxiety every time I walk in that I am going to lose the roulette game that day and get her...I actually practice in my head how I will try to avoid here without sounding mean. Quality of haircuts seems to have deteriorated. It seems like they feel like they have to get the haircuts done as quickly as possible -- don't know if they're measured for productivity but it's hard to justify even their discounted senior price for what you get. The last haircut felt just like when they shaved my hair off for boot camp in 1967; rough, uncomfortable and out the door. Haircut looks fine but anybody could do the same thing. I also don't like the new system where you have to select a tip before running your card. The senior price just went up $1.00 to $13.00 and they gave me a $2.00 discount for "the next time". The location is convenient and I like the online check in to avoid waiting but it's just not worth it anymore. We'll try it ourselves. read more

I walked in after checking in online and was ready to get my hair chopped off. No joke. I cut off 12" and donated the hair to Wigs for Kids. It was so liberating!! Just got off the phone with GC and they keep telling me that Emily is on a leave of absence (they have been saying that for 2+ weeks now ) and as a person with half of a brain now realize that they are being loose with the truth and she no longer works here and that sucks because I have been going to her for the past few years (after trying 3 stylist at this location prior) and she always gave a great haircut and will be missed (had the same person for 20+ years prior). too bad because I live really close but can not go through 3 or 4 again to find another. In closing I always (30+years in business as GM) always tried my best no matter the outcome to be HONEST with my clients and this Company seems to lack integrity. I went to Great Clips on Washington around 7:30. Brice told me there was a two hour wait. I asked if I could leave my name and come back, he said no. It did upset me. Who wants to sit at Great Clips for two hours? So I turned around to leave and simply said "got it." It was huffy. I actually felt bad about it and was going to apologize when I went back. I went back at 8:30 just like he told me. He said" we're done for tonight." I told him that I came back exactly when he told me to. I said you don't even close until nine. The open light was still on. Again he said " I told you we're done!". I have a very important event tomorrow. I just needed my bangs cut. He did this just for spite.
