Unprofessional Behavior That Should Never Happen in Front of Customers Stopped in and what should've been a quick visit turned into one of the most unprofessional scenes I've witnessed in a service setting. While we waited, one of the stylists -- younger woman with visible tattoos -- started swearing (F-word) loudly while talking with her client. Another stylist, Sally, calmly and professionally asked her to stop cussing, which was totally appropriate given the setting. Instead of handling it like an adult, the other stylist exploded -- yelling across the salon about "having seniority" and saying things like "you're not my boss, I'll do what I want." Absolutely unacceptable. I couldn't believe how openly she disrespected her coworker in front of customers. That's not a personal issue -- that's a business image problem. And to top it off, no manager was even present. So the stylist felt empowered to act however she wanted, unchecked. Sally deserves credit for keeping her cool and trying to maintain a professional environment. But the salon itself? Definitely needs leadership to step in. Arguing with coworkers in front of paying clients is never okay. Period. read more

this is my second time going in and the first one wasnt even THIS bad. i went in for a haircut because my hair had been growing much longer than i wanted it to and i was helped by the manager. i showed her a reference photo of the shape and layering i wanted and when i was done it looked NOTHING like the reference. the least she couldve done was tell me my face shape didnt match or that i didnt have the hair for it. i am so upset and ive spent the last few hours crying about it in my room. the back of it looks even worse and i cant even look at it without feeling self-conscious about it. super disappointing :( i was so upset i asked to buy a texture powder because there was no way i was going to go out like that without any styling and she told me she recommended a spray wax for me and in total amounted $51. read more

I really don't do this. Matter of fact this is my first yelp. I went to get my haircut after growing it out for 2 months. I was met with Trish and sat down. Explained what I wanted. And half way through, I realized she had no idea what she was doing. She was asking ME, what to do next. How to cut it. I'm not a hairdresser. I expect at least me to tell you how I want it, and you to at LEAST get close. I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life, sitting in a barber chair. My hair looks like absolute shit. This place is a hit or miss... not just this "Great Clips" spot but ALL of them. These spots are the spots that, if you're running late or don't care how your hair ends up... then feel free. Each hairstylist have their own way, understandable, but consistency is hard to come by unless you request a specific person. It could be worse, it could be the AAFES barbershops on a military base. Signed up on the app said 24 minutes so I left for GC. Got there 24 minutes later and it said 14 on my app. 5 people waiting and 2 cutters, no other staff. April and other girl were talking the entire time and once April did zero work for 2 minutes while she carried on a conversation with her coworker. Once I came to get a trim and asked April about her dog, big mistake. My 10 minute cut lasted 38 minutes. They are hiring! Good luck. Surely they get paid for more customers? My daughter just went in to have a simple trim with some simple layers. My daughter is a sweet young woman and complains about nothing, but when she comes home feeling ugly and cheated, a mama has to speak up! This stylist spent a whole 4 minutes on her hair... did not do anything she asked for... gave her a trim that looks choppy and uneven... didn't even wet her hair and charged her $20!!! I went in today and asked for a shampoo and haircut. I got the shampoo and it lasted 2 mins. She didn't even use conditioner. The girl I had was rude and barely spoke to me. I didn't say anything about it at the time to her because I didn't want to make her mad before she trimmed my hair. When I sat down for my hair trim, she basically ripped through my hair with a comb. It really hurt. (Probably because she didn't use conditioner). She was supposed to trim my dead ends off but after she blow-dried it, my hair looked worse then it did when I walked in. I paid $27 and left. I called back up there to ask if when getting a shampoo, they were supposed to use a conditioner. I was told yes. They are supposed to be having a manager call me, but we will see. read more

Got great haircuts from Kayla. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She trimmed my hair and gave my boyfriend a transformation hair cut. She cut his hair from long (we're donating it to children with medical hair loss) to short and handsome. Will definitely be back for more cuts from Kayla. read more

I went in to mainly get my hair cut and bangs, my hairdresser cut my hair crooked then ask if I wanted my bangs cut!!! Well that usually the reason I get my hair cut in the first place is because my bangs are hanging in my eyes!! Then she cut them uneven !! I had enough I said maybe we need some help! This place is so poorly run its not even funny. Checked in online because there is constantly a HUGE wait, like over an hour. Went in when I got a text notification that I have about 15 minutes until it was my turn. Guess what? Checked in and the wait jumped back to almost an hour becuase apparently someone's shift ended. Completely understaffed. Whoever is running this show needs to pick a new career becuase they are failing miserably at running this place. I'd be embarrassed if I was in charge. Well, I submitted this review before my kids and I got in the chair for haircuts, so I have to make an edit. My 6 year old always gets the exact same haircut. The same fade every single time we go to the barber we normally see. (They were booked so we had to come here, unfortunately.) The lady seriously argued with me about how to cut my son's hair. Unbelievable. And the lady, who was older, had a terrible attitude to boot. I'm fairly certain some of these other reviews about a stylist with a bad attitude are about her. I went in today (7/12), with medium expectations due to the reviews. I wish I got her name, but she did great! I have had bad experiences in the past of telling them one length and them going severally shorter. She did fantastic! Cut it to the length I wanted exactly, and when I wanted to go shorter, she had no issues going back and cutting shorter. read more

Janice is a BARBER and should not be allowed to cut long hair! I went in with hair that went down to my butt asking for a 1 inch or half inch TRIM, with a few face framing layers. I made it very clear what I wanted with her. She seemed really sweet so I was excited at first. Then I heard "Oops. We lost some of it". 8 inches later, I was really disappointed but wanted to make the most of my now SHORT hair. I said "It's okay, as long as it looks good, I will be fine." I paid and left. It wasn't until I got to work that I saw just how bad the haircut actually was. My hair was half the length it was, completely butchered and uneven with random long pieces. Janice clearly does not know how to give a haircut and was oblivious with how to go about face framing layers without cutting all my hair off. After a few days of people asking who hacked my hair off, as well as loosing sleep over it, I've finally decided to leave a review so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I'd hate to see some young girl with long beautiful locks go in for a trim and come out having lost it all to a haircut looking like it was done by a child in the dark. My husband took my 9 and 6 year old sons to get haircuts tonight. First off, the wait was ridiculous. The wait was 5 min then as soon as he went inside, they changed it to 40. Multiple people in the lobby got up and left. When it came time for my boys to get their haircuts, Kayla took my oldest, and an older woman took my youngest. Kayla was wonderful and did a great job. The other lady argued with my husband about how to cut my sons hair. He literally gets the exact same cut every time. According to BOTH of my kids, she snapped at my youngest in a "mean" voice multiple times. My oldest even said he kept turning his head (they were seated next to each other) to see what she was doing to my youngest because she kept talking to him in a mean tone. His older brother instincts took over. Mind you, my youngest son is 6 years old, she snapped at him to sit up straight, when he was, and then proceeded to smack him on the shoulder multiple times with her comb, and not gently. My oldest son saw her do it, and my husband saw her do it. The second my kids got out to the car, my oldest said "That lady was mean!" Keep in mind - my oldest son DOES NOT lie, and is the most respectful and honest kid I know. When my husband and my kids came home and told me this in detail, I decided to call up and talk to a manager. The lady who gave my youngest the haircut got on the phone and said a manager was not available. I then started to tell her what happened and she immediately said "OH THOSE ARE ALL LIES!" I said why in the world would my entire family come home and lie about this?? (Especially after they just got great haircuts?? What in the world do we have to gain from that!) She said my husband had to keep getting onto my kids because they were "misbehaving the entire time!" First of all, no they weren't, he told my son to straighten his head up and be still once and they both sat still in the chairs without saying a single word. She kept saying they were all lying and that is not at all what happened. Again, what do we have to gain from that?? She wouldn't let me talk and kept talking over me so I finally snapped at her and said are you "f"-ing kidding me?! Which I don't normally do. I told her I'm a paying customer and she needs to listen to what I have to say and I said how dare you accuse my entire family of lying! She said I don't have to listen to this bull-expletive (according to her, if I curse, she can too). She said she will call the GM right now and I said please do! She then, yet again, kept talking over me and rambled about making a complaint then hung up on me. I WISH I could have recorded that call. UNBELIEVABLY unprofessional. I can guarantee this woman is the same one all of the other reviews are talking about when they mention a hateful woman working there. I CANNOT believe the way she just spoke to me on the phone. And to smack my child and then accuse 3 people of lying about it happening?? Seriously?! If you are incapable of cutting children's hair or anyone's hair for that matter without having a decent attitude, you're in the wrong industry. Walked in and was greeted by a nice lady name Trish ( Very polite and excellent customer service oriented).She asked if I had scheduled an appointment online which I didn't and being a first time customer I didn't know you could. She explained to me how the process worked that online appointments were taken care of first over walk-in customers if they were in the lobby. Waited for 30 minutes, during that time 2 walk-ins with no appointments came in after me. When it was time to call names for online appointment customers that may potentially be in the lobby and no one answered, the 2 walk-ins after me were called skipping me not once but twice. I made it a point to tell the staff that I will be going somewhere else because I was skipped twice. I wouldn't recommend going to this location unless you want to just waste your time. read more
