Does anyone know who is the manager of the Jefferson Great Clips store? I just left there getting my hair cut and I had asked the hair stylist to thin my hair out. She would not do it!! She told me no! Told me it would make my hair frizzy. IT"S ALREADY FRIZZY!!! That was the whole reason I went there to get it thinned out cause its so thick. She trimmed the ends and gave me some long bangs. My hair is still so dang thick. Ugh! read more

Worst valentines present ever! Wife actually cried when I saw her. She brought a picture of someone w/the hairstyle she desired. The butcher did whatever the hell she wanted to from what I can tell. Style was not even close - problem now is that it's been cut so damn short it will have to grow out for a good long while before she can get it fixed by a qualified beautician. GROSS CLIPS sure as hell lost 2 customers and every single customer I can tell about this. If I had been there the cops prob would have been called. You people should all be fired and barred from cosmetology period. read more

I took my son to Great Clips as a walk in and was told it would be about 15 mins. Then we were asked if we checked in online i said no then we were told it would be an hour wait because there was 6 people checked in online ahead of us but they weren't their yet. We were the only ones waiting so we waited 20mins and people started walking in not all at once but one here and there now we were going to half to wait an hour. No thank you y'all lost my business. We went down the street to a barber shop and walked in and waited 5 mins and my son hair was cut. Great Clips will never see us again. read more

It's hit or miss here. Either you will get a good haircut or you won't; but that depends on the person you choose to let cut your hair. Some girls need a different profession and have the personality of a brick. Others working there are gifted yet probably not being used to their full potential. I'll tell you what--I have had some pretty terrible haircuts here though. Especially true if the girl cutting your hair is also responsible for answering phones and checking people in. When I sit down in a chair I want undivided attention and care. Not some ADHD hairstylist constantly interrupted. Hire a full-time receptionist for goodness sake. Otherwise the store looks good. It's clean, organized, with a fair price (as long as the haircut doesn't suck)--average for a great clips. Nothing special. I wouldn't recommend but I wouldn't say "Stay Away" either. You know how we were told when we were in school that if we didn't study hard, we'd wind up "digging ditches for a living." Wrong. We'd have wound up working in this Great Clips. I mean Great Clips is known as the ass-end of the coiffing world, but this one is abysmal. I knew I was going to have to endure them asking my phone number and name in front of a room full of people. I have not given my real name or real number...ever. So, they insist on making me fabricate stuff. Which leads to other pointless questions in front of the group. Why does it matter if I have ever been here before??!! Why do you need my phone number to cut my hair??!! It doesn't ! And you don't! I went in (after having boycotted GC for more than 5 years) on July 1. I desperately needed a haircut and it was about 95 degrees outside. I was praying for a mediocre experience. My prayer was obviously not just denied but angrily rejected. My "stylist," as they are all wont to do, reeked of tobacco and had hideous tattoos. The only thing missing were fresh stitches. She talked non-stop about her son's gf having another baby and she knows it's not his. Similar conversations were happening on either side of me. God, just get me out of here with no mess ups with my hair. Nope. Prayer rejected. I asked for sideburns to be cut center of the ear hole, my "stylist" cut them even with the bottom of my hair line around my ear. All these places are the same because the same type of employee, sorry, "stylist" is drawn to it. They all rail against their managers and franchise owners and they have zero customer service (listening) skills. I almost forgot, she did ask how I wanted my hair cut (since it wasn't listed under my 'phone number,' but she did her self absorbed monologue the entire time I was in the chair. I did interrupt one time and ask about my gray hair, she suggested a different shampoo. Bottom line: they don't care, they don't know how to act in public, they do a mediocre job with hair and you are completely stressed when you leave here. Do not go here! read more

Go else where... Regardless of weather you check in on-line or show up in person... DO NOT EXPECT TO GET A TRIM/CUT IN A TIMELY FASHIION! I had to laugh.. This location spent a huge amount of money on a mannequin out front of the store to attract customers... Only to have the customer come in and hang out for 30 minutes while the employees talk about taking drugs and pain killers! Most of the employees are tattooed from head to toe and exchange wisdom on talking precipitation pain killers. Real winners here!!!! GO TO GAINSVILLE OR ATHENS... YOU DON'T NEED A HAIR CUT THAT BAD! read more
