Love this place for my teen son. We just check in online and never have to wait. I forget the stylist's name but will update when he goes again. We went to another place across town and it was about 3x the price and one of the worst cuts he's ever had. I had an absolutely horrible experience here yesterday, and I will not be returning to this location. I have been growing my hair out for several months, occasionally getting a neck trim to avoid the mullet look. Yesterday I went in and asked for a neck trim, specifically asking the stylist to trim the back of my neck to get rid of the mullet. She then proceeded to cut several inches of hair off from around my whole head, completely changing my hairstyle and basically resetting all the progress I had made in growing my hair out. To top it all off, she then charged me for a full haircut, more than twice the price of the service I had specifically requested! Not so great clips. I usually have to cut some of my hair when I get back to the house because a few spots were missed but this last time I went was bad enough for me to write a review. My hairdresser was just in too much of a hurry. Went waaay to fast, didn't double check her work, and I had to get my re-cut somewhere else because the regular couple hairs a have to clip off myself was more than just a couple hairs. No Bueno. I have had several haircuts here. There is a high staff turn over so I have yet to have the same faces meet me when I walk in. I have had four hair cuts and the first three were average to below average. I just left having received my fourth (and last) haircut there. It seemed like the woman who cut my hair was doing it for the first time. She was nervous, pensive about what steps to take next, had no idea how much pressure to use with the clippers on my now red and painful neck, and careless about how the finished product looked. When I left I had hair sticking in all directions despite my telling her I wanted it smoothed down. She used forming cream, but such a little amount that it had no purpose. After getting home and seeing the finished product I was amazed that she would be comfortable letting me walk out the door looking like I did. She did offer for me to come back and get any changes or fixes I needed for free. I just don't trust them to fix what they could not get right from the start. Needless to say I am done with this place and warn all that unless your are getting a "army recruit" style haircut, steer FAR away from this place. When the power was out at our local Great Clips, we called the next one over in Issaquah Highlands and they said they'd take us as walk-ins. We walked in, my daughter and I when there were no online reservations. My daughter got her haircut but while she was getting hers, they told me I had to wait for several new online customers first (there were about 5). Very angry that they did not taking me after her! I understand the convenience of going online, but on that commitment we drove 10 miles but I was out of line by later registrants. Very few things get my blood boiling as this did. I will go back but this left a very foul taste for me. read more

I think this place has moved. It's now in the plaza with the Starbucks. Must be new management here because this is my 2nd haircut and I've been very happy both times. Very clean shop with pleasant atmosphere and funky modern decor. Hairdressers are very friendly. Mine was very meticulous in making sure my cut was just right. I sat in the store for thirty minutes and watched customer after customer walk in with online check-in go before me. No more! My son and I went in for a haircut because Great Clips was running the $9.99 coupon and we needed a haircut. Them or any nearby shop has our business when they run this coupon of the $6.99 or $3.99. It is welcome by customers. We still pay the regular tip to the stylist. My son prefers Yvonne at the Klahanie shop but she was out and the coupon was expiring. I personally prefer Sports Clip but they too can vary in quality and service. I usually go to the Issaquah one but last time the Issaquah Sports clips was too busy and they were not friendly so I went to Bellevue. The Sammamish one was a disappointment because they are owned by someone else and did not take the discount card. The extra service of a shampoo and massage at Sports Clips is better with a discount car but if Great Clips, send out coupons, and beats Sports Clips's prices by a lot, then we go to Great Clips. read more

My husband got his hair cut from this location four days ago. He said the experience was awful. The woman who cut his hair was extremely rude. He described her as yanking his head around forcefully while she trimmed his hair. This is absolutely uncalled for, especially since my husband was in a car accident years ago and has experienced neck and back problems. He then went on to tell me that she "strangled" him with the white collar of the robe. She kept pulling it back so tight that it was causing him throat pain. He told me he felt that this was done on purpose and that it appeared she was very much aware of what she was doing. She also got sarcastic with another employee there, which was absolutely unprofessional. Just get your hair cut somewhere else. read more

I was super happy with everything about our experience today. We were welcomed by several employees warmly. My 2 sons (age 5 and 8) received haircuts from different stylists. The lady who cut my 5 year old checked his scalp carefully to rule out any issues with lice, and noticed he has some dry scalp issues (she recommended avoiding the shampoo/conditioner combinations), which I plan to try. She cut his hair so well! He has curly hair and it never seems to look right when we have gone to other places. My older son's hair was also great. She was so sweet with him and he commented how nice she was. I really appreciate this store and would recommend it. read more

Literally the worst haircut I've ever gotten. And I'm used to budget hair salons. First, they cut your hair almost totally dry. Second, the person who was cutting my hair didn't even listen to what I wanted. I simply needed a trim with long layers. Five minutes in, she gave me the mirror as if she was done. I told her I wanted layers. So she took another five minutes to give me the most minimal layering you can imagine. I can't even tell they're there. I could have done this haircut myself, and saved the $17. Never coming back again. read more

I just have a specific complaint about this Korean lady who was working on 2/17/2020 morning. My husband called to ask if they are open today and if there was a long wait at 9 am. Whoever was on the phone said he can come in because there was no one at the store and wouldn't have to wait. We also live in the highland and took us less than 5 min to arrive. This Korean lady with mid length hair told him he has to wait over 60 min. He informed her that he just talked to someone who said my son can get a haircut right away. She didn't care and made him wait over 60 min. Even though my son was next in line( on the screen) she took another walk in because " they waited a long time". It was obvious she wanted my husband to hear this and was power tripping. When my son was getting this hair cut by another person said that's weird that this Korean lady told him that he was wait 60 min and could not squeeze him between clients. All I can see in this situation was that this lady was power tripping and thought customer service wasn't part of her duty. I am so disappointed with this place because this lady have been giving my son his haircuts. I will never return to this location just because of her. Unless she leaves, I will never come back. She needs to be retrained on customer service and ways to talk to paying customers. read more

Why did they allow me to be sign In online if they were going to be closed. Why didn't they offer to provide a coupon or something for my inconvenience. I've been going to the Grand Ridge Great Clips for over a year. The stylists seem to be upbeat and engaging. The place is kept clean and open (not cramped). Oh and I've never had a haircut from here that I wasn't fully pleased with. Plus I love the feature where they keep notes on your last haircut, as I can't ever remember how I like it. They never have enough stylists working. And those that are working are a little slow-moving (on the intake, prep, cleanup, and transition). Even with the online check-in, the wait time is always 20 mins longer than quoted. I tried to walk in at 9:30am on a Weekday and even then the wait was an hour and 14 minutes. Not useful. Yes they are always busy and do not have enough staff but it takes me 2 months to get into my expensive hair stylist so I have no complaints with the wait. I have 3 kids with a lot of hair and I take them to GC every time & I walk away happy. I have taken them to other salons and paid a premium price but I see no difference.
