Took my son to Great Clips for a simple haircut before his first day of school, and it turned into a nightmare. The stylist not only butchered his hair, but actually cut his ear and left visible red marks and scratches on the back of his neck. She was beyond rude from the moment we walked in--abrupt, impatient, and acting like we were an inconvenience. The cut was so bad we had to go to another salon immediately afterward to fix it. Instead of walking out feeling confident and ready for school, my son left hurt, upset, and embarrassed. This location always seems to be top notch! Very friendly staff. Good cuts and a clean store! Definitely give them a shot or boys cuts!

I took one of the kids that I mentor here for a haircut. With the current social distancing imposed for businesses, think this salon got it together. It's advisable to check online to avoid waiting longer. However, when we came in we were helped right away when we entered and was checked in or put in their system. The wait was 30 minutes, but if you do it online I think it's a lot shorter than 30 minutes. Once the stylist called us, she was seated right away and cut the haircut that she likes. I noticed that our stylist did not do anything elaborate- she sprayed the head with water and started cutting. I'm not sure if she did the layers that my mentee asked for, then blow dry the hair and that's it we're done. I asked for the stylist to add layers to clean up the split end, and she said she can layer it. I will definitely recommend this place for a quick haircut and more for children boys and men. Also if you can remember- look for coupons before coming to this place you can save at least 50% which you can give as tip to your stylist. This time I had no coupon, but I will definitely remember to bring one. read more

I have never left a great clips with a smile on my face. It's not specifically this location, I am speaking about all great clips. Im 16. Unfortunately my mom insist that I go here for my haircuts I wish we would just go to an ACTUAL BARBER because this place is a joke. They always either actually mess up the cut or they just don't listen to what I'm telling them. I told them to "take a little off the sides and back" and before I knew it I was getting a buzz cut. why? And it's all old people who work there who haven't been to highschool in 20 years and they actually were making fun of some kid for having long hair. one time they cut my bangs just because they said "I can tell you can't see through this hair." I have gone to Great Clips for some time now and if there were other closer ones, I would definitely go elsewhere. It matters not the location (at least around the Florence/Independence/Walton area), as they are all the same with respect to cleaning up prior to taking people back to their stations. (i.e hair all over floor, chair and equipment 90% of the time.) It occurs every time, including today at the Harris Pike location, and when I asked her to clean up first from the prior person, she had an attitude with me the whole time, including leaving hair all over me and not paying attention to a known colic I have to cut so its less prominent. I have written corporate a couple years back and though they apologized, tried to make amends and stated they would conduct retraining, it continues to remain the same. (Full price or discount). I cannot recommend Great Clips within the mentioned area anymore in good conscience and will no longer go there, even if I have to cut my own hair. read more

Today I'm pretty sure my 4 month old niece could have done a better job at cutting my hair. I've been going to this location for two years and have had no problem. Today I went in for a very standard hair cut. Just a few inches off. The hair cut takes about 10 minutes, and I took a quick look at the results and was satisfied. It was all fun and games until my hair started drying. Then things really started to hit the fan. Once I got home I brushed it out and found these lovely images looking in the mirror back at me. On the outside I'm laughing , on the inside I'm crying. So glad I spent 17$ on this , just to spend some more $$ trying to get it fixed. Thanks Great clips! read more

Not only did my daughter receive a horrible haircut, but the stylist (Kayla) had a snippy attitide and rolled her eyes multiple times. She seemed put out by having to (poorly) do her job. Her behavior was worse than the haircut she gave! When I asked her to try to improve the cut, she told me nothing could be done, then walked to the back room and stayed there for fifteen minutes, refusing to help not only my butchered daughter, but also the six other people waiting for their turns. Another stylist attempted to correct her mistakes, but the damage was done. I have experienced subpar haircuts at this location before, but the unprofessionalism and immaturity I experienced today is the reason I will not return. read more

They are really nice and I'm usually 90% satisfied with how they do my hair. Sometimes the wait is ridiculously long though. Without online check-in you could wait up to 2 hours sometimes. But other than the wait, it's pretty good. read more
