My son's normal barber was out of town, so took him here since its in the same parking lot as his Karate studio. Never again! My poor baby kept saying the clippers felt "hot" but the guy was in too much of a rush to get to the next person, he didn't care. I have been coming here since the location opened up, never had a problem. Not only can you see the prices clearly online but they are on a big board when you walk in. Hair is hair, if your smart enough to know how to find coupon then it won't be difficult to get it for as little as 12$ (that is what I do) but it sounds some people just want to be lazy and disgruntled. I took my 2.5 year old to get a haircut today and in the past he's done fairly well with haircuts. But due to quarantine it's been a while since he's had a real haircut. He was wiggly from the get go even though he was sitting on my lap. The woman that cut his hair, she said her name was Vivian, was so calm and understanding the whole time. She gave him a lollipop about halfway through and I prayed he'd make it through the rest of the haircut without having a meltdown. Well, we were nearing the end and he totally lost it. I'm talking screaming, spitting, kicking, full blown meltdown. Vivian was so calm and sweet and still finished his haircut and did a great job!! The reaction I received was 2 different prices in less then one minute on the phone. When I questioned it was told well if I do it is the higher price. I have been receiving haircuts from great clips for years now and have always been satisfied with their service, until now. I walked in expecting a normal haircut. I came across DEBRA and she asked if the notes on the computer were the same. 4 on top and zero on the sides.I confirmed and stated, yes that's right. As she cut my hair she went too high on the fade and the fade was not a true fade. It showed a line. I told her about it and she apologized and I told her the hairline was too high and to try to fade it in. I was upset as it is and I understand we all make mistakes. Walked in with my curly hair long on top and a bit long on the sides. Asked for 1/2 inch of the top and faded sides. The lady shaved my head, messed up my bangs, and was rough about the whole thing. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I hated it. I had to go to a different place in Galt to fix it because my hairline had at least an inch difference from one end of my forehead to the other. This was a terrible experience. I took our 7 and 5 year olds to get cuts for school pictures. The same stylist cut both of their hair. She did bad job. Crooked bangs, uneven clumps in the back. The cuts and ambience are great, and the workmanship is fine, but be sure you get the correct operator. One lady in there gave me a Bible thumping haircut, saying things like the Bible says all oceans are the same depth and that the ocean goes through the earth (two opposing comments) neither one is true. DO NOT BY ANY MEANS WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Doesn't get any worse. Most unprofessional, quickest, hack job I've ever gotten by the RUDEST stylist (if you want to call her that), name Giti. She didn't smile, say hi, or make any conversation. The first thing she said was "what do you want.". I have long hair and she took less than 5 minutes. As soon as I sat down she started hacking at my hair and hurting it, not wetting it at all like most professional places do. She should not be working as a professional hair stylist. The whole ambience of this place was unprofessional, unfriendly, and rude. I walked out of there feeling terrible about myself, and you should always feel good after a haircut. I felt this place humiliated me by treating win such rudeness and then taking my money. They should've paid me for having to endure their unprofessional treatment. Should be out of business. I've received a haircut from Great Clips a few times and every encounter has been a pleasure. The hairstylists really listen to you in terms of how you want your hair to look and often times they're very friendly and will strike up a conversation with you so you don't get bored just sitting there.
