Great experience!! Positive vibe and very clean! I would highly recommend. Got me in and out quickly!

Came in as a walk in with my 6 year old who has autism and ADHD. Anthony was amazing with my son. He talked with him the entire time and made him feel super comfortable. My son has a very difficult time sitting still but Anthony was so patient with him. My son loved the experience and asked to go back for his next haircut. read more

Cutting Edge Barbershop - Barbers Near Me - Galt, California

I'm not sure what you are referring to as squeezing me you had lots of an availability on squire, that's how's I was even able to get an appointment being said even after I had texted you, you still had openings at 12:45 and 3 o'clock and you didn't get back to me until like the following day so and it wasn't just that one piece. Honestly, the fading was some of the worst, all you kept saying was your hair if thick probably 3 times you also left the back way longer the it should've been. But in my opinion your 45 minutes definitely isn't worth the 50 dollars let alone in your area. I didn't plan on going back nor do I. I was more concerned on how you would address the issue that you could've easily fixed in maybe 10 minutes and it was 60 dollars total 50 for the cut 10 as a tip. read more

Great service! Quality cuts! Whole staff is always friendly. Been taking my son here for years and have never been disappointed.

They did a great job with all 3 of my boys and listened to what they wanted. It was clean and they were quick!

I was looking for a new barber and decided to book with Ray. I can honestly say that I was very impressed. Customer service is a 10/10 and will definitely be coming back. read more

Very pleased to say the least. Ray immediately texted me with an online booking option that worked perfectly for me. Upon arrival I found the shop to be clean and popping. Music videos were playing and there was a very cool vibe. I felt comfortable and welcomed. I took my 14yo son and felt the environment was kid friendly and wasn't worried about him hearing or seeing something inappropriate (which has happened at another barbershop we tried). My son was happy with his haircut and we will for sure be going back! Keep up the good work! read more

Atlee got my boys in today for haircuts and they turned out so good. Great service and great cuts. HIGHLY recommend.

I was looking for a new Barber, that was closer to home. My last one was good but really out of the way. There is a lot of nerves and apprehension in picking a new Barber. I found Ray based on his reviews, which was great. At our first appointment I showed him a picture of me, of how I wanted my hair to match this cut. Ray, did such an amazing job, I forgot my hair was shorter in that picture. He was picture perfect. He looked at the picture for like a second and was like, I got you. Ray is the Master Class Barber I grew up with, personable, highly skilled, thorough and a master in his art. Guys, Ray is the man. I'm so happy I found him and it's an honor to be his client. I've received about 4 haircuts since and he never disappoints. 10/10!!! I get a lot of compliments on my hair, all due to Ray. I got you my guy! read more

If I could give a 0 I would I am from out of town and thought with a decent star score I would be ok. I was WRONG. The barber who SHAVED MY HEAD came in late and didn't seemed settled when we started. I said I wanted a one on the side and long on the top and the guy just buzzed it all off. Maybe he should go back to school. I am very upset and feel like this dude didn't listen at all and now I am stuck with a crap haircut until it grows out. TERRIBLE HORRIBLE DONT COME HERE! read more

My 8 year old is apprehensive when it comes to new things, so he was not excited about a new barber. I've lived in Galt all my life and had never noticed Cutting Edge, so when I did I booked his appointment with Raymond (the owner). Raymond was super polite, introduced himself (shook my hand, big sign of respect for me)! He asked me what I wanted done with my sons hair and I explained to him and showed him some pictures. Within 30 minutes my kid was all cleaned up and we were on our way. As soon as we stepped out of the shop my son asked if I could keep bringing him to Raymond cause he really liked him and he also stated how he was so happy he didn't cut him (his old barber would always cut him in a couple places when giving him a haircut). It's safe to say we will definitely be coming back next month! :) read more

Ray is the BEST, I started going to him since I moved from the bay 2 years ago. I love my haircuts !!!

Thank you Dee for an excellent haircut; count me as a regular. Great little four chair barber shop in Galt, California. Great barbers, plenty of parking, easily accessible from the 99 freeway and right next to a Chevron gas station, so one can get a haircut and fill their gas tank after with ease. This is a hot new business and was established in 2016. read more

So here we go. My wife booked a appt for me with Raymond Juarez, when she booked the appt, she was told that the barber would be wearing a mask. I also would be wearing a mask because I have a auto immune disease. When I got there, I was the only one wearing a mask. 6 were not. They asked if I had a appt and i said yes at 2:30. They said Raymond was in the back. So i waited about 10 minutes and then he came out. He asked if i was sick and i told him no and that i have a auto immune disease. He asked if I needed to wear my mask and I said yes and that I would like him to as well. He said he couldnt cut my hair with it on. And he wasn't going to wear one either. He said I could come back when this was all over. Not a chance. He should have just told my wife the truth at booking and saved us both alot of time. He was rude and didn't care. I guess that's what I get by trying to get a haircut on the down low before barbershop are allowed to be reopen. read more

The freshest hair cuts in the 209, go to none other than Cutting Edge. Went in for my first time, as I'm new to the area, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience as a whole. First off, the customer service was great, we could chat all day about an array of topic, mainly sports. Mark was the one cutting my hair but he and Raymond both were just really good dudes. They make sure you get what you came in for. Very customer friendly and put a lot of attention to detail into the hair cut. Went in not expecting much, and ended making a couple friends and they cleaned me up nicely. I got a 5-3, line up with a taper fade. And Mark did an excellent job at making sure I got what I wanted and then some. Also trimmed up my beard. It was almost like he was reading my mind. Completely, and ultimately one of the best hair cuts I've ever had. Thank you guys. I highly recommend this place to anyone and "you're gonna like the way you look, I guarantee it." If you don't have an appointment I wouldn't even bother going in...Walk-ins aren't a priority...3 different times I came in and didn't even get a "hello or what's up" because they were all ready to go home at 4 and didn't want to pick up a walk-in. read more

The cutting edge barbershop is a masculine and professional island in a sea of beauty salons and chain hair cutting salons in the city of Galt. I found Ray when I walked through the door waiting to provide excellent service and even better ability to cut my hair. I got a fade, a hot shave, and a beard trim and from minute to minute my experience got even better. The shop was super clean, the staff was friendly and able to have an enlightened conversation, more than just the weather. Ray politely waxed about sports, and raising children, and the difficulty of being a business owner. When all was said and done I had an awesome fade, a relaxed and closely shaved face, and a beard that hasn't ever been that expertly trimmed. In closing, do yourself a favor and visit Cutting Edge Barbershop, it comes with my highest of recommendations! read more

Simply the BEST! Ray was amazing with my son and took time to make sure he got the cut we wanted. My son is only 5 and still a little timid with some of the razors and noises they make, but Ray talked him through it every step of the way. The shop was clean and I loved the oldies music that was playing. By far the best shop and barber my son has been to and we will for sure be back... Thanks Ray!! read more

Came in on a Tuesday their was a girl that I've never seen and a guy I've seen a couple times. So I wait about 40 mins and their still cutting the same peoples hair. So I'm like ok maybe they'll be done soon. Nah the girl brings a whole family to the back and stopped cutting the kids hair just to talk to her friend. And then they leave so I figure it's my turn. And then skipped me and started cutting someone else's. Been going to this barber shop for about a year now.... read more
