Fantastic haircut for me as a walk-in. Older, thinning hair, great job. Easy parking, great location, very polite stylists. read more

Been going here for years and Alice is always welcoming and gives me the perfect hair cut every time. You're the best Alice!

I have been coming here for years and recently moved back into town. I figured I may as well go and see my girl and stop giving myself bathroom haircuts. I walked in a little early, there was a couple in front of me one being cut and one waiting to be cut and as soon as she saw me she recognized me! It felt like coming to visit an old friend. She finished with them fairly quickly and efficiently, then it was my turn! We chatted, she trimmed me up and had me in and out within 10 minutes. She remembered small details about my kids, my mom and brother and we even chatted bout what she's been up to. I have missed her and I will be back again! As always I will send everyone her way, and I will be visiting whenever I need her. read more

My first time after a couple years of not doing anything to my hair and Alice was welcoming. She did a great job on my highlights.

Wow! Look at the amazing hairdo. Had to share this too. Walked in and noticed this color then the style. read more

My complaint is not about the salon but is about Vicky who rents a space in the salon. Vicky has cut my hair previously and did a good job. I went in to get a hair cut the other day and she was available. I told her I wanted my hair just trimmed up . Her response was medium and I said yes. She started by trimming with scissors. Next she she got the clippers out and trimmed more over the area she just did with the scissors. Next she trimmed it a second time with the clippers and went on to trim it a third time. What she gave me was a Mohawk cut and the hair on the top left side longer left was was an inch longer than the right. I went back to the salon to speak with the manager who was most gracious and kind but the damage has been and and now I have to suffer suffer the long wait for my hair to grow back. read more

I had my hair and makeup done for my niece's wedding by Alice and she was Awesome! I got lots of compliments from my relatives and friends! I told her I want a simple hair and makeup and she did it great!! Thank you awesome Alice! read more

Good old school place quick in and out always have space all the people know what they are doing.

Moved to Gault recently, was looking for a place to do threading or waxing of my eyebrows. Alice was so sweet and my eyebrows look great.

I was assured that Vicky knew how to cut a pixie cut so I trusted her. She butchered my hair!!! I got the worst haircut in my life here and I'm 77 years old!!! I showed her a picture of how I wanted her to cut my hair. Instead, she almost shaved my head!! I have bald spots in the back of my head!! My 7 year old granddaughter could have cut my hair better!! Do not go here!! read more

May is very good. My husband comes here and he always gets an awesome hair cut from her! She does exactly what you want and attention to detail. He highly recommends and so do I as his wife! read more

I've been going to Alice to get my hair done the past year! She does an amazing job! She used work out of her Elk Grove location a lot more, but I guess she transitioned into being in Galt more. This is was the second time I made the far drive from Sacramento to Galt just to get my hair done. Like I said in my review for the Elk Grove location she used to work at, she takes her time to make sure everything is perfect. And what I like most about Alice is that she remembers a lot of the conversations you have with her. She really does try to get to know all her clientele. Call and make an appointment with her! Or if you're trying to catch her in Elk Grove, message me and i'll give you her cell phone number. I believe the new spot in Elk Grove she works at is off Elk Grove Blvd & Big Horn (Don't quote me though, as I have not been to that location yet.) read more

I had Alice do my hair and make up for my daughters wedding and also for my wedding. She did a fantastic job for both occasions. She takes her time and ask lots of questions so that she will achieve exactly what you want. I highly recommend her. read more

Thank you Alice! I'm very particular when it comes to my hair and who cuts it, I remembered my Cuñado previously went here and liked the results so I took a chance one day and stopped by. Alice came out from the back of the shop to assist me and the rest is history. She is the only one that I will have cut my hair, she made me feel comfortable and is a good conversationalist while doing a great job on my beloved hair. Quick as well, and she never judges me, even if I take forever to return for my next cut. Thank you Alice- forever 21 in my book! read more

I only get my haircut with Alice, she's friendly and gets the job done. This time I got my haircut with an older lady and she completely messed it up all I asked was for a fade on the side. Simple for someone in this profession right? Well not for her she left one side higher and shorter then the other side and was acting like it was no big deal and that it was just in my head. I paid, looked up close in the mirror and she completely botched my haircut, I'm livid. I suggest getting your haircut only by Alice (the younger girl) if you come here. Im a loyal client and we need better staff at place we value and trust. read more

I came here for a highlight refresh already having beautiful blonde highlighted hair and I got nothing near that as the result. I had Alice. I was clear on what I wanted and made sure she understood I did not want bleach on my scalp and a highlight only! She made chocolate zebra stripes and bleach all over my scalp! My hair is as white as an old grandma lady with big zebra stripes and my scalp is balding and burned. She refused to fix it and refunded me with an attitude as told me to go fix it somewhere else. Please review the pictures and stay away from Alice and this filthy run down salon like the plague! P.S, i only came here because my mom's hair looked nice and I liked hers.... never again!!!!! read more

Today I went in for Microblading. I was so nervous but I muscled through and showed up. Alice was my technician. She is so sweet and did an amazing job. I will be honest I thought I had a high pain tolerance but I was wrong and of course I would be the one the numbing agent would take forever to kick in for. But it was tolerable and well worth it. Right now they have a 99.00 special, so unheard of that's why I jumped at the chance to try it. So happy I did. read more

Salon 21 - All done - Hair Salons Near Me - Galt, California

The hair cut was decent aside from a few spots where the super long hairs were missed. I didn't want to mention it and wanted to get out. The lady there treats you like a child educating you on hair request terminology, asks personal questions and is extremely opinionated with no filter. I stayed as quiet as possible and just wanted to get out of there. It was an unsettling experience that stained my day. She really just wants to argue and justifies it by constantly finding faults in everything you say and extremely contrary to anything (I was quiet at that) I can't ever return to this facility. read more

There's a sign on the front counter that says, "enter at your own risk". So now I understand what they mean. Chalk it up to experience, the woman made 20 bucks in literally ten minutes. My wife asked for a layered cut, and the woman just block cut her hair. Bam done. When we got home my wife went to check it out in the mirror. Their were long strands of hair that she just didn't cut. She's looking in the mirror now, trying to fix it and on the verge of tears. Someone said the place was clean. I'd call it cluttered. The front counter doesn't have an inch of open space. A cash only business, but no cash register. No receipt, no recourse, and likely no reported income. read more

Had a nice lady by the last name of Lin cut my hair, she was pretty quick and gentle at the same time. Hair looks great and she must take proper care of he equipment because I didn't have a single hair pulled. I had a beard cut as well and absolutely no issues. I can tell she puts pride in her work. This is was my first time but I'll definitely be back. read more

I've been growing out my eyebrows for YEARS! I wanted them a bit thinner for the holidays so I thought I'd give this place a try.. that was my first mistake; despite all the bad reviews I thought I'd give them a try. An older man did my service, and I felt very unheard. I told him I wanted my eyebrows thinner but to take from the bottom and attempt to keep my shape. He did not acknowledge my words and finished extremely fast. I left with uneven eyebrows, straggling hairs, shapeless eyebrows and the saddest thing, he did exactly the opposite of what I wanted. My arch that I've been growing out.. GONE. Needless to say, if you're in a hurry and need your brows done.. and by the reviews even your hair just save yourself the troubles and avoid this place. The service was only $10 but not worth the embarrassment I'll have to live with the next few weeks. read more

This is the only place where I get my haircut and eyebrows/ lip waxed! My eyebrows always come out with the perfect shape. And Alice genuinely cares for her customers because she remembers everything we talked about! Will definitely keep coming back read more

All the barbers here are straight garbage. I was forced to go back due to my other barber shop closing down and let me tell you this place is just terrible. They gave me the complete opposite of what I asked for and when I asked for a refund they got argumentative and started yelling at me like I wasn't clear even though I showed a picture. Only go to this barbershop if you want to be ridiculed for a month. read more

Don't come here !! I came in to get a hair cut and walked out completely with something else, the work is so sloppy, so lazy, AND they charged me $35 for an uneven cut ! Please use your money somewhere else. So unprofessional as well by judging your hair and by making you feel bad about it ! FYI, I requested a layered cut, and the woman took the middle of my hair and chopped it off with her razor blades.. and left the other pieces long ! Please go back to school if you cannot cut hair ! So disappointed, never coming back here again. read more

Went in on 1/23/23 for a haircut. Came back the next morning because I was not satisfied with the cut. Had it fixed and was charged for another haircut. Do not think that was fair since it was not done right the first time. Will not be going back. read more

Very nice place. Reasonable prices for the work done. Will be back ! They offer : men and women cuts Children cuts ( the gal says no animals! Haha!) Color, hilites, waxing I came in for a quick cut and wax. Ladies were pleasant and nice. I have a Autistic child at home. It can be very difficult to get them to sit still and behave . I asked if they're patient and good with children . The young gal says she has no problem majority of time and will do her best. We will see what happens . I'll update post when I can. I gave 2 stars because they are friendly. We stopped going in there for a while and I needed to get my youngest son a hair cut. I had forgotten that I nick named the older lady the hair butcher! Salon 21 - Crappy fade not lined up - Hair Salons Near Me - Galt, California

First off let me say this place would have not been my first choice. Let me explain why... I am not from the area, I am from Orange County. I had gone through the yelp search for hair cuts and it didn't have a good rating. My family who lives in this town said they knew a place, so they called in for me requesting Alice. I knew my family wouldn't fail me on this one. So after I was set with the appointment, they informed me the name of the salon, Salon 21. I Yelped it to see where exactly it was and read the two reviews it had. Basically, with the reviews it was a 50/50 shot, but I did see Alice was requested quite a few times. So I was a bit nervous but not fully. I walked in to my appointment and was greeted by Alice in a sweet manner. I checked out her hair (that is important). If she had ugly regular un-dyed hair, that would have been a big indication that she might have not been a good hairstylist, but her hair was GORGEOUS and looked HEALTHY! So by that time I was no where near nervous. I looked at the books of what hair cut i wanted and found it. By the time I was done she had evaluated my hair (another plus). She knew exactly what she was talking about. I knew already what my hair was all about but when she confirmed it, I was impressed. She also said that this product would would good for my damaged hair. It was her last one (another good sign). I took it. My hair cut was $15 for layers and $27.50 for the product plus tax. Totaling $44.75 + $4 tip (for the hair cut). In the end I was pleased and I definitely had to spread the word about Alice. Prices here are not that bad either. At least check her out or go in for a free consultation, you will be pleased you did. read more

This woman is so rude passive-aggressive and not wanting to help her customers, to put it shortly.

Was very unhappy with our service here. When my BF said he didn't like something about his haircut, Alice became very hostile, arrogant, and condescending and acted as though she wasn't at fault. If I could rate this lower I would give it negative 5 star review for the traumatic experience. Will never come back again. read more

The price is perfect! This promotion they're advertising $8 and up. I couldn't pass it up. I have a simple head of hair not much on top and plenty on the sides and back. What I'm looking for is a haircut that's not gonna cost me 15 bucks because I know that getting in and getting out is important to me. I'm a busy guy with a lot of things to do. This place is fast they are courteous and they even took time to trim my eyebrows which most haircutting places don't. Get your clean feeling on! Step in today and come out fleeing like a million bucks just like me. read more

When in for some highlights, the lady burned my hair! I came out with severely damage hair, chunks of hair broke and it was bright yellow-orange. Horrible experience. read more

They only accept cash. They don't follow what you said chopped my hair so bad. This is the worst salon in town.

This salon is a mess I went to get a curly perm almost $200 and what she did she did half curl and half straight because my hair was to heavy plus she burn my hair and she told that after day my hair will look better her name is Alice, I don't recommend this place this totally a mess, and she wants me to pay make for treatment in my hair when she knows she did a mess in my hair read more
