I knew it was…read morenot a likely possibility to get a same day appointment, but thought I'd give it a try at a salon that was fairly new, but in one of my favorite locations. I called Cre8 and to no surprise, they didn't have an availability. I had bounced around salons for a while and hadn't really found a good fit, so I knew it may be a while to get in any where. About an hour after I called, I received a phone call from Aimee, the owner of the salon, saying she would be able to squeeze me in. I was so blown away that she called and offered an appointment in an hour that I couldn't say no. That just doesn't happen around here. I know that when you get squeezed in that you are probably going to be there a while, since the stylist is usually working between you and other clients, so my expectations were realistic. To say she blew my expectations away, is an understatement. The salon it's self is beautiful, open, airy, comfortable and inviting. Aimee greeting me when I walked in the door and gave me her undivided, attention. I hate stuffy salons where the conversation is strained and awkward. This experience was as far from that as it can get. Aimee is a genuinely sweet person that made me feel welcome and comfortable. While the salon it's self may be new, the stylists are not and have all come from salons in the area. This is all icing on the cake, because at the end of the day, a good cut and color is what I needed. My color is phenomenal. I had partial high and low lights done and Aimee blended them to perfection. It's probably one of the best colorings I've ever had. My cut is just as awesome too. I think I have found my home salon.

I went there yesterday for my first time and was blown away by the amazing customer service; from the receptionist, to the other stylists who greeted me and then I met Allie who was my stylist. I have never met such a warm, caring and professional stylist in my life. we spoke at length to make sure she could envision exactly what I wanted, she talked me through the whole process and her fellow stylist, Nicole whose booth is next to us even helped out for a bit. Gina, is the reason I will never return that along with the fact that the owner, Tom has not responded to the 5 calls Ive made. She butchered my hair to the point of me being in tears in the chair. I asked what she was doing and she abruptly stopped and walked away getting another sytlist. No remorse, no apology. Ive never experienced a salon visit like this especially from Salon Voss. The salon has gone down hill and the customer service is horid. Not sure what happened to the great stylists they once had! I used to refer everyone there, never again.

The person who was did my hair was…read morereally nice, but the whole thing took so long because she kept getting distracted by talking to other people at the salon and was generally quite slow. I had also asked for it to be straight and she ended up putting curls in that didn't even hold. When I reached the counter, I caught a better glimpse of myself (the chair I was in was so low to the ground I could only see what was above my chin,) and had to ask her to do the curls again and add a LOT of hairspray, because it was not going to hold by the time I reached my event and it was blisteringly hot and humid outside. I was right. Even with the hair spray and the second time around curls, by the time I reached the event I looked like a hot mess and just ended up tying up my hair up. I'm sure there are skilled professionals here, and maybe any other day and with someone else I might have had more luck, but sadly I will not be coming back here. 3.5 stars generously rounded up for the benefit of the doubt.
