I moved to Virginia 4 years ago from New York and have been bouncing from salon to salon. Finally I…read moreasked my friend & hair and makeup artist Jeet who she recommended and without hesitation she said, "Salon Voss in Fredericksburg is amazing." I went there yesterday for my first time and was blown away by the amazing customer service; from the receptionist, to the other stylists who greeted me and then I met Allie who was my stylist. I have never met such a warm, caring and professional stylist in my life. we spoke at length to make sure she could envision exactly what I wanted, she talked me through the whole process and her fellow stylist, Nicole whose booth is next to us even helped out for a bit. My highlights are probably the best I've ever had in my life (15+ years of getting them done) and I am so happy to have found this place! Salon Voss you gained a new lifetime member!!! Thank you so much :)

Gina, is the reason I will never return that along with the fact that the owner, Tom has not responded to the 5 calls Ive made. She butchered my hair to the point of me being in tears in the chair. I asked what she was doing and she abruptly stopped and walked away getting another sytlist. No remorse, no apology. Ive never experienced a salon visit like this especially from Salon Voss. The salon has gone down hill and the customer service is horid. Not sure what happened to the great stylists they once had! I used to refer everyone there, never again.

I wasn't particularly impressed with my blow dry experience. The person who was did my hair was…read morereally nice, but the whole thing took so long because she kept getting distracted by talking to other people at the salon and was generally quite slow. I had also asked for it to be straight and she ended up putting curls in that didn't even hold. When I reached the counter, I caught a better glimpse of myself (the chair I was in was so low to the ground I could only see what was above my chin,) and had to ask her to do the curls again and add a LOT of hairspray, because it was not going to hold by the time I reached my event and it was blisteringly hot and humid outside. I was right. Even with the hair spray and the second time around curls, by the time I reached the event I looked like a hot mess and just ended up tying up my hair up. I'm sure there are skilled professionals here, and maybe any other day and with someone else I might have had more luck, but sadly I will not be coming back here. 3.5 stars generously rounded up for the benefit of the doubt.
