I recently visited this salon and overall had a pleasant experience. The ambiance was really nice, and both the staff and the hairstylist were friendly and welcoming. My haircut was simple -- just a trim -- and the stylist finished in about 10 minutes. My only concern is the pricing. I was charged $69 (like the last tier) for a basic trim, which felt steep given how quick and straightforward the service was (no shampoo, no blowdry, dry cut) especially with tip added on top. While I understand salon services can be expensive, this particular haircut didn't feel worth the cost to me. Because of that, I don't think I'll be returning, even though the atmosphere and staff were nice. read more

Hair cut. Fair. Unfortunately the stylist was trying to serve 3 customers, one was a coloring, the second might have been a perm, and I was there for a hair cut. The poor employee was trying to take care of all of us, and I was clearly at the bottom of the list. Cut was less than great- but .... I'm very happy to have found Salon 730 and Royce, my new curly hair expert! The salon is very clean - a biggie for me - and everyone is very friendly. It's not one of those places you feel uncomfortable in because everyone is trying to impress. It has a wide range of different people who are there to get advice, a new look, routine maintenance etc. Very welcoming vibe. The salon is well-managed. Within momsnts of walking in the door, I was greeted and registered. The front desk person was competent and organized. Huge points in my book for that! When it came down to getting advice, I was really pleased with the expertise and time taken to help me. And, when I followed that advice, the results were beyond what I had hoped. Royce changes my hair completely! it was fried and frizzy from too much blow drying and flat ironing. He recommend a smoothing treatment that worked perfectly. I cannot say enough how glad I am that I found this place, and how happy I am with the results! A great find! read more

i've been to the salon a few times and every time I walk out I feel as though I've enjoyed a wonderful experience. They were ultimate professionals in every step of the way, reception to check out. My shampoo person took her time and left me feeling pampered before I even slipped into Casey's chair. It was here in Casey's chair that the magic began. She took great care to listen to what I was hoping to accomplish and confirmed with me. What was in was not possible. Not worth the money. I have cut my own hair and had it come out simular to how it did today. That's not good. 1. I wanted a specific cut. I brought in pictures. I researched how to do it. My stylist didn't take the time to make sure we were on the same page. 2. She started cutting my hair dry. I have very fine hair and this is the first time someone didn't even wet it. 3. Had she wet my hair, she might not have left it uneven in the back. I didn't know it was uneven because I didn't get to see it before I left. My wife noticed it when she got home. 4. The result is that my hair is too short on top. Not short enough on the side, and uneven in the back. 5. I looked into the stylist levels. They vary for salon to salon but, the all. generally, agree that A LEVEL 3 STYLIST SHOULD BE ABLE TO LEAVE YOUR HAIR EVEN IN THE BACK. read more

Salon itself is very nice and the desk staff seems very friendly. The stylist I saw most recently in I'd give 0 stars, but I'm giving the salon a little credit for being clean, bright and welcoming. The stylists I've seen have been at best mediocre, at worst absolutely terrible. Most recently the stylist I saw barely spoke a word to me, gave me a haircut that didn't resemble what I asked for at all, left me with several substantial pieces of hair that were not cut at all, and cut the back of the pixie cut completely lopsided. I have had my fair share of butchered,botched, and brutalized hair stories and this was one of the places that truly gave me some closure and hope that I may have found somewhere that can help me put all of that behind me. 1.) First experience was a game changer - a few days before I flew out for my wedding I broke the cardinal rule - trying to change my hair drastically to blonde before the big day outside of a professional setting. Not so shockingly - the platinum didn't lift or tone - and I looked like a yellow Goldilocks with a mere 48 hours until I flew out to my wedding. ENTER - my lady KNIGHT in shining armor - Taylor. This girl literally did not know me - worked me into her already slammed schedule - fixed it and somehow also was one of the nicest and most genuine human beings I have ever encountered. AND she didn't bleed me dry $ which honestly - she had every ability to with the amount of time, correcting, product, skills and blood, sweat & tears she poured into me. Add this little ringer in also - my hair is CRAZY THICK & CURLY. (On a good day it takes about 2 hours for a wash dry & flat iron only.) 2.) The second amazing visit with Taylor was for our Game of Thrones finale party - and I wanted to finally fulfill my decade+ long dream of having Daenerys platinum hair. Taylor used her mystical hands of sorcery and resulted me with the most beautiful color and style fit for any Targaryen. As an unconfident and uneducated female when it comes to the beauty industry and its many rather daunting nooks and crannies of uncharted territory to the not so cosmopolitan of us out there - put your mind and anxiety at ease and look literally no further. I never leave reviews but I'd to spare anyone's hair from being ABSOLUTELY ruined like mine is. During quarantine my sandy blonde hair grew out, leaving me with dark roots. I decided to try out salon 730 to get them done. I took the first available stylist and paid for a consultation. At the consultation I was very clear, I wanted my roots done and brassiness toned out. My fine hair had grown out and become really healthy during quarantine and I wanted to keep it that way. The stylist assured me it was 100% doable and that it would be an easy service. I came back 3 weeks later for my appointment. During the bleaching, she combed the bleach throughout my entire head of hair, and when she washed it out- my ends were white and my roots were bright orange-blonde! Not to mention I had HORRIBLE breakage from having bleach on my already-bleached ends!! I was in tears. She then told me she had no time left in the day and I would have to come back 2 days later. At appointment #2 the stylist decided to tone my hair, which ended up with me having silver/grey hair ends and roots that were still orange-blonde. Both colors in my hair looked awful, unnatural, not close at all to the grown-out sandy blonde I had come in with originally. I was told to come back in 2 weeks and that the manager would then do my hair. I broke down and cried in the car. During those two weeks I had numerous people asked me if my hair was the result of a horrible box dye incident. At appointment #3 I received a clarifying mud mask to get all of the toner out, which my now-damaged hair frizzy and terribly dry. Then I was told to come back YET again. At appointment #4 I was given a "free" haircut to cut off my damaged white ends- ruining all of the new length grown in quarantine. The manager then gave me a shadow root and a glaze to attempt to even out the color. Finally my hair looked decent. But all of the demicolor washed out in two weeks, leaving me with the white ends and gold roots. It was literally a two week band aid fix, and then the white ends and carrot top were back again. The huge color difference and the damage my hair is beyond repair. Two months later, I've now had to cut off 6 inches in total, and my hair still feels like dead straw (despite using all olaplex products). I have to pull my hair up all the time and wear hats in public. I still have never received a refund from Salon 730- despite the policy they have on their website. My original stylist never apologized or gave an explanation as to why she could not do a basic hair process. I was later informed my original stylist was not as high of a level as the manager, even though she had been doing hair for 10+ years...And yet-it's not like I asked for rainbow hair or even highlights. If she wasn't capable of a BASIC root touch-up and tone, she should've told me at the consultation. That's EXACTLY the point of me paying for a consultation. Hopefully with this review I can spare someone else from the pain I went through. Unless you want to pay $180 to have your hair ruined, go somewhere else other than Salon 730. read more

I booked with salon 730 for balayage. As I was going through the process, I kept asking if it would be blended. It felt like there were lines if dye. I was assured it wouldn't. As you can see from the pictures, its $215.00 worth of awful. At this time, they couldn't blow dry but told me it would so good when dry. My hair is an ugly grey color, with splotches of random orange/brown. I sent them pictures. They offered to fix it (using the same stylist). I declined because 1. Why would I want someone that let me leave the salon like this, fix anything? 2. They told me they would fix it be depositing more color...Icalled other salons and they told me they would have to lift the color first to actually fix it. Not just cover it with a darker color, making it practically black. I informed the salon that I now had to pay another stylist to fix it and heard nothing back. My hair looks grey. The pictures show its bad, but in person, its much worse. read more

I'm a bit stuck between giving 2 or 3 stars, however based on the traumatic experience getting my eyebrows done here, I have to go with 2. I will admit that the haircut and toner was fine. Where everything went awry was when the hair stylist did not admit that she is not comfortable with eyebrows. I just moved here from CT one month ago and have been getting my eyebrows threaded for several years at the same place. Out of convenience, I stupidly inquired about waxing services and was told they were offered. I made it very clear that my eyebrows are thick, I did not want any change to the shape and just needed them cleaned up. At no point did the stylist give the impression that she was incapable of providing this service. Eyebrows are such an important feature and had I known that she was very incompetent at doing them, I would have never let her touch them in a million years. Once in the wax room, I began to get the feeling that she wasn't very experienced based on comments about her not liking to work with this particular wax. Not really something someone wants to hear as wax is being liberally applied to their face. Ultimately my eyebrows were devastatingly ruined. The shape is absolutely awful and she actually waxed a row of hairs at the top which even an amateur knows is not how it is done. I was so horrified. Although I liked my hair, I couldn't even focus on it based on how horrible my usually perfect eyebrows looked. It will likely take a good 3 months to grow them out. The response from management was prompt. They offered for me to return to see if they could fix them, however I did send a picture and they could see that it was only something that can be fixed with time after they grow out. I was refunded the waxing cost but I feel that is not enough to justify returning to this business. Given that I spent nearly $200 for services that day and the experience was entirely ruined, a feel that $15 is not sufficient. I would have been much happier if the stylist had either referred me to someone else or admitted that she was not comfortable doing the job. Unfortunately, the overall experience was bad enough that I won't be returning for any type of service. read more

Black people: be careful here. I don't typically leave reviews, but I've had multiple issues with staff at this salon being unable to correctly work with my natural hair. If there was a black stylist available (there only seems to be one or two on staff at time), then the appointment went smoothly. However, two other times when I tried to make appointment (after clearly specifying I needed someone familiar with natural or 'ethnic' hair) I was extremely disappointed by the stylists' ability to do my hair. The first time this happened I was actually sent home and asked to come back when a black stylist was available. The second time the stylist, who was clearly uncomfortable with my hair but never admitted it, went ahead and spent almost 3 hours doing one of the worst hair jobs I've ever experienced. Mind you, all I wanted done was a simple blowout. I appreciate the impeccable work of the black stylists, the general kindness of the staff, and their efforts to make sure I could come back and correct the mistake. There is something to be said, however, about a hair salon that has such a large staff but very little diversity in their training. In short: if you call yourself a hair stylist, be able to work with all kinds of hair. Not just hair like yours. I hope Salon 730 can work to create a better experience for all customers. read more

I entrusted my hair and make up to salon 730 for my wedding. I cannot say enough good things about the make up artist that did my make up. They were absolutely fantastic and the make up was just as I had asked and it looked very much so like the picture I had shown them. My hair however was a disaster. Not only was Amanda, the hairstylist, very impersonal with me, but she did not tell me when I showed her the picture of what I wanted that she would not be able to re-create that with my hair. She only glanced at the photo once that I had given her and then proceeded to curl my hair into too small of curls to achieve the look that I wanted. She did not give me any glances of my hair during her styling so that I could have told her that what she was doing was not going to make it look like the photo and that I wasn't happy. Amanda was very disrespectful to me when I tried to explain to her that she did not make my hair look like the picture that I brought and at one point she thought it would be appropriate to put one giant victory roll in the middle of my head. I left feeling very ugly and not prepared for my wedding day. I tried desperately to fix my hair before my wedding which was an hour later and it absolutely would not cooperate because she put too small of curls in my hair.
