I called ahead in the morning to see if they had a spot open to de-tangle my hair and thankfully they did. My hair stylist was Macey. She used the Healthy SexyHair Love Oil Moisturizing Oil to de-tangle my hair and then put them into two even Dutch braids. The process was painful and it didn't help that I have a sensitive scalp, but she was able to get out every single knot and I purchased the oil she used in case this ever happens again! One of the stylists mentioned sleeping in braids helps prevent tangles, but I toss and turn, so they fell out..lol oops! I would definitely recommend this location, staff are great and salon is clean! The cost for long style with the de-tangling was just $33, a great price compared to other salons! I'll definitely be returning, my handsome brown eyes also goes here for his haircuts! read more

I have been coming in Great Clips for the last year or so because of the good reviews. Today was just a bit different and I wanted to try out a different haircut than my usual. I wanted a two block haircut which is an undercut with Ice Pick Side Burns and light taper on the back. I showed her an example picture and I trusted her confidence that she is able to at least come close to what I would have imagined. Turns out she wasn't confident enough to tell me that she couldn't do it and felt as if she can just bullshit the trust I have put in her. Below is the picture I wanted my hair to closely resemble but I believe she did a terrible job. It's already hard enough to not be able to see your hair being cut since I need to put my glasses away. I should have said something there and then but I already saw the uncertainty in her face as she knows she didn't do a great job. If you meet a woman named Toni, don't let her cut your hair. Hair is something that will grow back but it still would be nice to be told that if they don't have the necessary skills to cut my hair as I asked, I would rather have waited for another person or looked somewhere else. I went to Great Clips to donate my hair to Wigs for Kids in support of my sister who just lost her hair during her chemo treatment. My stylist, Ashlie, was super-supportive and gentle as she went through the process of first separating my hair into several pony tails, then shaving them off, then giving me the final clean shave. She was generous with hugs and encouragement afterwards, which I really needed at that point. I've had my hair cut there before (for normal cuts), and they always listened to what I wanted. This is one of the better Great Clips in the area hands down. I've been coming here for 4-5 years now and have never had a bad experience. All of the stylists are always super friendly and easy to work with. I used to spend $50 to get a fade at another barber shop and without a doubt I get a better fade here for a fraction of the cost. I wish I could recall her name but the gal with the colored redish pink hair cut my hair today (7/9/23 around 445PM) and did an amazing fade and had a killer personality to chat with during my haircut. I drive the literal less than 30 seconds it takes me to get around the corner to thier location. By the time I get there I'm the second name on the list with a 20 minute wait time and nobody else in the waiting area. 5 minutes later the other party listed above me arrives with multiple people to get haircuts. Now my wait time bumps up considerably. What happened to first come first served? I was checked in online. I was checked-in in person. I was actually there waiting. Lesson learned. I'll spend my money at a local barber rather than this giant corporate entity that do not care about individual customers time. Something I should have already been doing. I'm done with Great clips. I walked in and mentioned these things to the woman at the front and immediately got the quintessential "terrible customer service" attitude and tone from her. I asked some very basic questions, being new to that establishment: "can I put my name in?"...."we don't do it like that here. If we did, and you didn't come back, it would just look like I'm standing here doing nothing." "Umm okay, as you can see I have a big beard, I wanted to also get it cut"...."we don't do that here." (Me looking at 'Beard Trim, $10' on board) "so I can't get that?"...."that's only if you also get your hair cut." "Oh I wanted a haircut too. So, yeah I'd want both. I've had some bad experiences with beard cuts, are you comfortable/good with working on beards?"...."we've been established for 15 years so maybe you should look up our reviews online. I got my hair trimmed here a few days ago by a hairdresser named Morgan, and she was very sweet throughout the appointment, but I was nervous about how much she was cutting because I'm growing my hair out, and she started with the back and didn't show it to me as she was cutting. She took about four inches off, and when I walked out, my family noticed it was uneven between the left and right sides. I reluctantly went back in to have her fix it, and she snipped some more off then asked me if that looked even ? She didn't change my part at all or ask how I normally part my hair, and when I got home, I saw that the bulk of it is still uneven and there are random longer pieces scattered throughout my hair. Really disappointed that I paid and tipped someone to reset my hair growth by 2-3 years and have to get it recut even shorter to even it out. read more

I came in on Sunday for an inch off the back and add in some long layers. I explained clearly what I wanted and when it was messed up I told her. She left me with short hair and massive chunky layer on the left side. I came back to get it fixed. She messes it up worse. I'm am over 50 and I have had my hair cut before. I really tried to like this location, but the quality of service is hit or miss. The last two times I've gone I haven't been satisfied and it seems to get worse each time. I just want a simple men's cut, but somehow that's difficult. Maybe it's not the stylist, but rather how little time they allot each head of hair. This most recent hair cut (yesterday) took about 10 minutes and didn't even look like it was cut. She chopped off a little here, a little there and I asked for more.
