Oops! I did it again. I tried a Gerat Clips location miles from my neighborhood...hoping that I might find some talent. With all the amazing short haircuts and pixie cuts flooding social media platforms, I was hoping someone at the Englewood (Colorado) location would have the skill. But I got Vincent. I even showed him a vid from my phone. I got up from his chair looking like a new Marine recruit. A true jar-head haircut. I should have known he had no talent by the rat's nest he had on his own head. I had to go buy a cap to hide the scalp job he gave me. Send him back to the Great Clips academy! It isn't the employee's fault - they are great. The ownership can't staff, keep raising prices and the wait times fluctuate all over the place. I don't go to salons because you have to make appointments but this location has stepped into that inconvenience realm. Used to tip 100% at $13. But only tip 50 percent at $20 a cut. read more

Asia was my stylist and provided exactly what I wanted in a hair cut. She really listened and communicated all the way on what she was doing. I was charged $71.00 for a haircut, shampoo and blow dry! Lady did not even section my hair for the cut or use product! Absolutely ridiculous! When I wrote the google review, the owner called me. I checked in online for an appointment at the Trolley Square location in Englewood, CO. When i checked in there was a 10 minute wait and when i entered the salon i checked in again and was told it was a  5 minute wait. Two older gentlemen came in about 8 minutes later and not to my  surprise they were helped immediately by the two hair cutters. There were only two hair cutters working so can someone please tell me how this remains a 5 minute wait? It actually does not surprise that this happened since the same thing was done to me a couple of years ago and the ONLY reason i went there today is that it was close by. Whoever owns this business might want to have training session with their employees on the importance of customer service. The only solace i find in this situation is that it only cost me 15 minutes from my day and was able to drive to a Supercuts nearby. No one should be treated this poorly by ANY business. Like another review close to same date I got a cut here, also got Vincent and it'll be 8 weeks now growing out a really bad cut that I'm able to find another salon to repair his work. Was paying $70-$100 for great styles but lousy service, and previous cut was from Cherry Creek Great Clips was terrific --but they had 90 minute wait. Englewood salon? Gives me a "Karen" cut, when I just wanted a pixie parted on the side. First thing getting home I got scissors and tried to fix it myself. read more

I've been wanting a new haircut for a long time and I finally got some time on my vacation visiting family, but every upscale salon was closed so I decided to try my luck on this Great Clips since I have had luck in the past and I was not disappointed! I was lucky enough to get Dixie as my hairdresser and she did an amazing job from start to finish. She is super friendly and obviously knows style since her personal style was fun and fresh. I told her I wanted it done a certain length, but that I wanted my hair to look fun and cute - super vague instructions and she totally nailed it! I left feeling cute and sassy and so happy those expensive upscale salons were closed. I cannot recommend Dixie's work at this Great Clips highly enough! read more

Used to go here all the time but today I showed up and was rushed through a simple bang trim. The lady (whom I've never seen before in there) was passive aggressive and rude when I said I needed my bangs fixed. She corrected almost everything I said about my own hair and proceeded to smile and ignore my clear uncomfortable body language. I left without finishing my length trimming as I knew she'd just be scissor happy and ignore my requests. Definitely won't be back anytime soon read more

Bad bad bad bad people to be working with. After showing many photos and describing what I want to Ally, the hairdresser despite the fact she knows that I'm deaf and she understood me. As soon as she start cutting I noticed she has an attitude and she kept on cutting my hair in a rapid pace. I became concerned and reminded her what I wanted. She said she know and continued to cut my hair. Result? Not exactly the same as the photos shown but ugly. It was different and the work itself isn't neat. It was all rushed work. I got upset and cried. Told her that I hated it. "I'm sorry." And a full charge on my card was the response. I got so upset because I have the video shoot planned and now I got to postpone it all because of Ally. Now Penny, the store manager I've talked with her on the phone using the interpreter, after expressing my concerns about Ally and her business site she Hung up on me. I called again and there was someone else, saying that Penny is in the middle of the haircut. Ummm no she wasn't she was on the phone with me. Guys guys - avoid this place at all costs. I came in for a haircut and immediately greeted with an eye roll. She took me back and proceeded to brush my hair out. She told me that my hair was a "tangly mess" and got a conditioner to fix it. She was looking at my hair and kept telling me how bad it is with a terrible attitude. Like why the hell am I getting a hair cut of course I know my hair is garbage. Like come on lady. Scheduled an on-line appoint was told there would be a 17 minute wait. Sitting in the parking lot and saw them take in two customers after my appointment time. Received an update text message they were running behind I would need to wait another 15 minutes. After 20 Minutes watch them take in another customer from the parking lot. This was the fourth time they missed my schedule appointment time by 30 minutes or more. I would suggest finding a different chain to use, unless you like waiting around and being receiving the poorest imaginable customer service. read more

I had stop by at Great Clips on Sunday afternoon March 31, 2019. Location 3319 S Broadway Englewood CO 80113. Even before entering the building or even reaching out for the door. A lady step out and stop me and told me they were closing in ten minutes. They were not able to help me, I ask "are you close" she reply "No" but we can not help you, we are almost close. I reply " My daughter only needs a quick hair cut". She reply "well, we are closing soon". I walk away, my daughter ask me with a sad look " Am I going to take my school pictures with this mess up hair, I wanted to look pretty mom". She was disappointed, to top it off it was going to be her birthday too. So I did my best and find another place to cut my daughters hair. It was important make my daughter feel special on her special day. The fact that it was told they can't not help me even before the time of closing was not customer services satisfaction. Going to that extra mile even if it takes a couple of more minutes to close is a place I would like to take my business. I received the WORST haircut of my life at this Great Clips. I asked for an angled bob stacked in the back and instead I received a hair cut that is horribly in even and there is no angle it just drops off. If You do decide to go here don't get Tammy. I would give them no stars for this reason but I HAVE to give one. Now I have to have my hair recut and pay again. Go at your own risk. read more

I checked in online and it said there was a 19min wait. I arrived at that time and waited another 30min. There were 3 stylists, 2 of them had customers. The 3rd finished her cut and went on break (apparently it was suppose to be 15min but was gone like an hour.) The stylist I had just talked and talked and talked and would stop cutting her customers hair to chit chat. I was semi in a rush, because I had things to get done before leaving for vacation in the morning. I finally was seated, by the same chit chatty stylist. Let's get down to my main concerns: 1) She didn't sweep the hair off the floor or chair and said it's ok and had me sit down. 2) Those white paper things they put around the collar of the Cape. She didn't use one. 3) I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted (which was to be an inch below my collar bone.) Because my hair was wet, I didn't see that my hair length is to the TOP of my shoulders. That is NOT an inch below my collar bone. After straightening my hair just now, it is SO uneven!!! Not only did I see how uneven it is, I can FEEL how uneven it is. Oh I forgot to mention, while getting my haircut, she saw some people outside walking by and stopped in the middle of my cut to run to the door to talk to them for a minute. I'm extremely pissed about this because I have no time to go get it fixed, as I am leaving for vacation in 30min. I've always used this location for me and my sons haircuts. We will never return. My hair looks like SHIT. UPDATE: This is going to be long winded, but this was the original complaint. Please note, the director said he'd bring 2 free haircuts to attach to my number. I was fine with that, figuring my son can go in whenever to use them. The manager was ok with that too. Well today, my son went in 2x, even showing the manager the screen shot of the email from the director. And was turned away 2x, being told there was nothing there. So I called to get it straightened out. She ended up throwing them away. Telling me I needed to take responsibility and ownership of this situation with the coupons (because I didn't come right away ... but hey! Life happens, and personal family hings came up! By the way, none of her business and I shouldn't have to justify it.) And when I started in on her, she hung up on me! So add rudeness and zero customer service or empathy to the list. read more

I went into Great Clips for a quick trim and that is not what I got. The man that was cutting my hair kept telling me that many of the recent school shootings "weren't real". First he cut my hair shorter than I wanted, but then when I got home I realized my hair was all uneven. The front half of my hair was a solid inch shorter than the back. Had a great experience here! My last haircut was in another state before we moved and was less than stellar. I mention it because they stylist isn't able to follow "the lines" of my last haircut for this reason, which makes their job a little harder. Allison did an amazing job!! My roommate wanted to get her haircut at the last minute this past Sunday. We decided on Great Clips since it was close to our house. We drove down there and we were told there would be a 45min wait since they were rather busy. We decided to drive home and work on some stuff instead of waiting. We came back about 40min later and when we walked in we were greeted in the most friendliest of manners by a gentleman named Tyler. He made sure it was ok that a man cut her hair and that she was next on the list. We walked back to his station and he even let me grab a chair to sit back there with her. He was so upbeat and friendly! As I have mentioned before I am an introvert so new people are usually hard for me but he made both of us very comfortable. I know I am not the one who actually got the haircut but I wanted to share our wonderful experience at this place. Everyone was happy and so were the customers.
