My partner and I decided to try out the Great Clips in Dripping Springs. While the wait was lengthy, we were able to squeeze in a nice late lunch at Schlotzskys. We were told the wait could be an hour. We returned within the hour and were taken promptly. Our stylists were Jessica and Brandi. They were quite friendly and very attentive to what we wanted done. Trust me, I've had lots of experiences where you walk in and chop, chop in 10 minutes their done. Only to look down at the cut off hair and wishing to super glue it back. In both our cases, the ladies were very engaged with us asking, how's this and if we needed any more that they should be working, etc. We both felt that we could not have been better taken care of. There is no doubt that these women enjoy their jobs, the results of their work is top notch!!! Thank you ladies, we really appreciate it. You will be our new top stylists from now on. read more

Not from this area and really needing a hair cut I chose Great Clips. Convenient location. Easy on line appointment schedule. I did not have to wait maybe 10 minutes. Shop was clean and stylish. Did not have a very good experience here today. The elderly woman that took my son's info and cut my son's hair was very snarky and very much on the edge of rude. My sons's haircut was not as I asked and once we got home he mentioned that she corrected what I said by remarking to my child....that Great Clips is NOT a barber shop. I can only take that as a jealous comment from what I tried to describe as a good haircut he received from another shop. My son was very unhappy with the haircut and so was I. The woman was impatient and put off when I went to pull up a picture as reference- this would have cleared up any miscommunication had between 2 people who do not know each other. It was much shorter than I asked for in the end and she did NO clean up on his neck. He has hair (still attached to his body) in a large line from one side of his neck to the other. It is clear that this not a barber shop by the workmanship displayed. And I'm almost inclined to think she gave him a bad haircut on purpose just to spite me- from what my son said her remarks were once I sat down in the waiting area. I do not appreciate being remarked about behind my back. Now we did encounter a nice employee which was a young lady who greeted us kindly and was very welcoming to us....if you decide to go to this location perhaps stay away from any "stylists" with a Golden Girls flair. Maybe then you will be treated professionally. Super disappointing that someone from a different, more mature generation can be so salty and disrespectful. I tried to go to the Belterra location today for a haircut. Two employees were standing there. Neither had a customer and no one was in the lobby. They told me I had to have an appt or I could wait an hour and a half. NO thanks. What happened to walk in service ? Polite staff ? Ridiculous that you have to have an appt at Great Clips ! Especially when staff is standing there doing nothing but talking. Has nothing to do with COVID distancing. It's BS. read more

We like this place! After trying various chains for our haircuts this has been the best and most consistent so far. The stylists are nice receptionist could be nicer. My girls and I have loved every cut we have gotten there. Definitely recommend these Ladies!!! read more

I have been going here for about a year. and I have witnessed the unprofessional behavior of the staff on several occasions. This last week I had had enough and just left and went to Supercuts. COMPLETELY different experience, and I got a great haircut. At the time I didn't feel like posting anything, however after bringing my daughter to the Great Clips on Escarpment BLVD on a busy Sunday after church I am reminded of how Dripping Springs Great Clips could be. I have gone to Great Clips for years all around town, and I don't recommend the one in Dripping Springs. read more

Came here to get my hair cut a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning around 10 am. They were very busy and the person that took my name at the front desk check-in area acted like I was a bother being there. After putting my name on the list and waiting about 20 minutes, I was called back to get my hair cut. The lady that cut my hair was friendly and talkative. She did a good job and I was happy with the haircut and the price. Since this was my first time using Great Clips, they gave me a 1/2 off coupon for my next visit. Pretty much the typical chain hair cutting place, but I will go there again since they are close by. read more

Take my son here very 6 weeks or so and they always do a nice job. On line check in is great. Also really good is regardless of who cuts his hair, they always get it pretty much the same using their notes system. Staff is always nice and the price is right. read more

Poor haircut, done far too fast, plus she pulled the neck band back to use the clippers and now I have hair all down my back. Finally, after asking if I am a vet, she charged me a dollar more than 3 weeks ago. Good salon, poor stylist. read more

Great Clips in Dripping Springs does a great job especially if you find the best 'artist' (which I have) and that would be Cara. She does a great job every time. Everyone at the salon is nice and professional. One tip get the Great Clips app where you can sign in before you show up and be first in line when you get there. Saves a lot of time! read more

The people were very nice and professional; even during a really busy rush. I was there for a haircut for my 16-month-old little boy. To help the process, I would get a bang trim and sit with him during his haircut. It all went smoothly. Because he was so little, we had to get out of there really fast, but we were happy upon leaving. Then our hair dried and we got home to see the carnage. They were simply bad haircuts on both accounts. I want to be fair and say, little kids haircuts are hard; but my bang trim was just as terrible. My son had to endure this odd, choppy, uneven haircut until it grew out and we could go someplace else. I guess the old adage is true: You get what you pay for. We walked out in twenty minutes, paid twenty bucks for the two us... and we both looked pretty bad for a while. read more

The employees here have no regard for what they say in front of their customers and lack any integrity. I listened to them bash customers who had just paid and left, bash other employees, and complain about how many cuts they had done and how many more they probably would have to do. This place is no better than the McDonald's, same time is spent putting a happy meal together as trimming hair..and on top they want a tip. Here's a tip, don't talk about customers and other employees while you are cutting hair..it's rude. I will not be back. read more

Great people, no wait (which is amazing, only two places here to get your hair cut). But I look like I have a mushroom on my head, and I've got this spot that just plain sticks out like the wings on a 737. Very simple too, and I didn't notice it until I got home (I guess that's what the spray bottle is for). So tired of the "hit or miss" approach when I get my hair cut, I'm tired of paying people to make my hair look like a lion crapped on my head. read more

Although I have had great luck getting my hair trimmed here, be careful to send your teens here. Especially if they just want a trim. The staff does not listen to them or act carefully before chopping off hair! My son is practically bald after asking for a trim. read more

Great Clips in Dripping Springs gave me the worst haircut I've ever gotten. There is no quality control here. They hire anyone and inflict them on unsuspecting customers. I gave very specific instructions to trim 1/2 inch. Then I showed with my fingers how much to cut. Instead of doing that, the "stylist" cut my hair very short. One side is longer than the other. Only some of the bangs were cut -- too short also -- so that they too are uneven. It'll take months before my hair grows out so that I can have the haircut I asked for. I don't know what to do with it and it looks terrible. If there were negative stars, that's what I would give them. Run, don't walk, away from this place. read more
