No slide cutting, no texturing shears, nada! She worked with his curls, not against them. Removed bulk/volume to allow them to spring without making them choppy. I went in for a partial Highlight and haircut and what I left with was two short pieces in the front (not blended at all) and a random sideburn looking piece on one side of my head. My highlights were also yellow. The true disappointment came when I asked for a refund (for at least the full price of the haircut) and was offered $55 for a $90 haircut. I was told I received the discounted price refund for the haircut. I will say I was offered for it to be fixed but I was not interested in the same person that messed it up, trying to fix it. I simply wanted my money refunded. Instead I was told the stylist was "having a bad day." It is extremely disappointing to have this experience a week before my wedding and to be offered a "discounted price" refund for a horrible haircut. Unfortunately because of the way this situation was handled, I would not recommend this salon.

My experience was wonderful. Mark communicated promptly and personally and squeezed me in. His salon is very clean and Mark was super nice. He is truly a professional. He took his time and was incredibly focused. I got my blonde hair deep conditioned and about 4-5" cut off. Mark softened the lines around my face and added some layers. I wish I would have known about him before my trip so I could have scheduled a highlight as I have no doubt he would do an amazing job based on the other reviews and my experience with the cut. While the staff members are kind, it seems they force their own idea of what you should do with your hair onto you. After the first time of them doing that to me earlier this year, I thought "maybe it was just this stylist?" so I went again recently. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. My bangs were cut shorter than I asked, and they are very obviously crooked. It has ruined 4 special events that I was part of this week. I was looking for a place that would accept walk ins but had no luck. Sophie's has a sign out that…read moresays "Walk-ins Welcome" so I went in and was told there were no openings. I wanted a quick and simple trim. It was recommended that I make an appointment for later in the day or another day. Disappointed, I made a google search and found a place called Pink's that only allowed appointments. I called David Anthony's and asked if there were any openings before 3pm. I explained that I had time to finally get my hair done, I rarely find time and I needed it done today because I don't have any other day. David handed the phone to Dawn who worked to fit me in and she did! The exterior looks nothing like you'd expect on the inside with it being very much like many salons. Dawn asked me what I wanted, made suggestions, showed samples and immediately started mixing my highlights up. While waiting, I chatted a little with David who was with his customer and he easily added me to the conversation. Even when it got quiet in conversation, the 1940s jazz keeps you company. It relaxes you. Dawn quickly began with my highlights, sat me under the dryer for a few minutes and then washed my hair. She cut it quickly with long layers and we chatted the whole time and laughed. The blow dryer is attached to the ceiling making it comfortable for customers so we don't have a wire constantly pulling on us. Pretty neat. She styled my hair and was done. It came out perfectly with the color she suggested. I wanted a sun kissed look and I got exactly that. Great lady, great music, great conversation, and great hair!
