5 stars for giving veterans free haircuts on Veteran's Day! Kudos! Doing this type of service, there should have been more than 2 hair stylists working- the app online check-in said it was a 66-minute wait...okay that is fine and we checked in with 6 people in front of us. That 66-minute wait turned into nearly 120 minutes being the 6th person in line because of only having 2 stylists. That was a bit frustrating, thus the 4 versus 5 star review. read more

Decided on a whim to get my hair trimmed. Looked up some places and decided on this one. I dislike spending a ton of money for ambience and also at places where they charge more for long hair. Usually go to a beauty school but since I was in this area I decided to just take a chance. Checked in online and headed there to arrive at the time they said. There was only one hair stylist and she was with a customer. Was greeted right away and informed there was a person ahead of me who hadn't arrived yet. She finished up and the person didn't come so I was up. Told her what I needed and showed her some photos. She got to work and dry cut my hair which was fine as my hair flows differently when dry than after being washed. She trimmed my hair, keeping the length and I was done. Great conversation and attitude. Definitely will see MaryAnne again. And online check in is the way to go. read more

I have had my hair cut here for at least 3 years. The service is so-so the quality is meh. Its cheaper though, so I continued to go. I have had my hair cut at this location more than a dozen times since COVID was supposed to end the world and kill everyone. I have worn the exact same mask most if not all of those times. That mask was worn the same way each time. Today the person at the front desk had a problem with my mask - the exact same one. According to their website https://www.greatclips.com/about-us/news-room/coronavirus Masks Required Starting Saturday, August 1, all Great Clips stylists and customers are required to wear a mask in the salon. To make it easier to cut your hair, we strongly recommend the type that loops behind your ears. Great Clips stylists are experienced and ready to give you a great haircut while wearing a mask. No where does it state that a mask (or neck-gator) in my case is required to meet any particular standards. Apparently, they allow for their individuals to come up with their own standards. I'll pay extra before someone who's job it is to touch others and is scared of their own shadow to dictate beyond what their company policy is. She stated she would get me a mask because of her personal preferences (its easier to cut around another type of mask). I specifically asked if am REQUIRED to wear the mask she provides. As I made the comment I'll go elsewhere- she wanted to know where. The only reason the person would want that information is to complain to someone else. These types of people should learn to mind their own business. If someone is so scared of their own shadow that they want to control another business because of her personal belief she should stay home and cower. I'll pay more than deal with someone like this. read more

Ok, i will add the first review of this place. First, I love all the staff here. Super friendly. I have had the same older woman cut my hair each time, she understands im really picky and never does anything i dont want her to do. Normally i walk out of places and its shorter than i want, but. Not here. She was super helpful with tips and tricks for me with my hair type. My husband got a girl with tattoos, and he said he would go back to her. I even told him i loved his hair cut. Second, they take such pride in keeping the place clean and smelling really nice. Ive been to places that had hair on the floor from the previous customers, not here, theyre very promt. Third, ive never had to wait to get my hair cut. Maybe i go when its not their peak hours, which is great, cause im not a waiter. Lol And lastly, the prices are very reasonable, and whats even greater they give out coupons for cheaper haircuts, which is nice, cause it gives me the freedom to tip bigger. Will return. read more

We just moved to Castle Rock and I needed a new place to cut my hair. I chose the Plumb Creek location because it had the highest ratings of the 3 locations in Castle Rock. I was not disappointed. The service was great. Maryanne who cut my hair was very nice and did an excellent job cutting it exactly how I wanted it. Prices are reasonable and the waiting time probably varies according to how many people are there. I had a very good experience and felt relaxed and welcome there. Not only have I experienced a poor haircut at this branch, but I've had to wait for 10 minutes while two stylists mucked about the back room and looked at their phones, while I was the only customer in the room. I had other errands to run, and eventually just left. Please respect your customers' time! read more

I've been coming for nearly a year, and have never had a bad haircut. I've had different stylists, and they have all been friendly. They have also helped me with changes that I want to make in length and style. That is very valuable. I've used the app to check in, and that works very well. The salon is clean and neat. An older woman cut my hair. Based on past experience, I tried to avoid her but when it's your turn, you get who you get. She is far from a stylist and I feel like I am getting someone just learning the art of cutting hair. After she was done, she just left my hair as it was without combing or brushing it in place. It really does not matter what style of haircut you want... you will get what she wants to give you. I have had both bad haircuts and not as bad haircuts from this location (depending on who is there) but the price was right and my hair will eventually grow back. read more

I had a haircut with Tamara this morning, my first in several decades in fact. For my entire life I have had very long curly hair that was thick, healthy and beautiful. I loved it. Recently, however, I've become rather ill and have been loosing hair by the handful. It's become so thin a hair tie can't even hold it, so I decided if I'm going to loose it, I'll do it my way. When Tamara asked why I was cutting it so very short I explained this all to her. She was wonderful. Not only did she do an excellent job on my new 'do (it's short and slightly spiky and much more hip than I'm used to:) ),she did it with a kindness and compassion I had no right to expect from a total stranger. Constantly reassuring me, telling me how nice shot hair looked with my "beautiful face". She made something that, were it someone else, I probably would have cried my way through, easy and even fun. People with uncanny kindness and love, like her, are rare in this world and I thank her for everything she did for me. read more
