At Great Clips, my usual stylist, Alex, was gone. I had to find a new person to give me a haircut. By the recommendations on Yelp, I learned of Regina at nearby location. Right away, she made me feel at ease with her skill in cutting hair and friendly personality. She did well. A great job was done without a doubt. I could've been more clear in what exactly I wanted when it came to certain technical aspects. But there's no denying that Regina is a pro who pays attention to the smaller things. The salon itself is really nice too. It's clean, tidy, and has a modern vibe to it that makes everything so much better. I'm interestingly excited for my next visit here because I think if given clearer instructions on what exactly I want when it comes to smaller aspects of the cut (specific lengths on the sideburns et cetera), Regina will do an amazing job again -- just like this time. read more

The service was horrible the workers are rude they don't even acknowledge you when you walk in. I went in the get my hair trimmed just straight across because my ends were dead and the black lady that cut my hair cut it sideways and refused to fix it and said "you're done, you can go now". I went to cut my hair as I do every month. I had called the day before to find out if the stylist I liked was scheduled to work on Sunday, they said she was. I was very anxious to get in as I was already a week late in getting my hair done and I had a week of holiday parties at work coming up. When I got there, I was told that my stylist had called in sick. I was left with no choice but to go with someone else. I ended up going with Leigh a stylist that was filling in from another location. When I got there I showed her a picture of what I wanted and told her my regular girl did a "1" all around and finger length on top (basically a man's haircut), how hard could it be? Apparently pretty hard.... The stylist would not listen to what I was saying I told her "let me show you the picture again" and she pretty much said "I don't need to see it I saw it already". The whole experience was dreadful once I saw the butcher job she had done on my hair I could not get out of there fast enough I was so distraught. For the 1st time in my 48 years, I cried over a haircut! When I got in my car and composed myself, I called the location and asked for the manager. The manager "Helen" got on the phone, and I told her what happened how I felt and how upset I was and her only response was "I'm sorry" "Do you want to come back so she can fix it" REALLY like I would let Leigh or anyone else (apart from my normal stylist) touch my hair again!!! She offered no resolution, no refund or credit. I told her I had a full week of work and holiday parties to attend and now my hair looked like a Beaver chewed it up. I was so upset I asked to leave a message for the GM of the location to call me. Helen said she was calling him right after she hung up and would have him call me right back. To date I have not received a call from the general manager. read more

I'm done,... sadly after four visits with this location I sense that this group of stylists might all have burn out. My needs are minimal and basic so why the stone face. Not one stylist has ever listened to me, my hair is dry and tangles very easily, all I ask is "could you wet it down",... nope, they grab their comb and start dragging it through snapping my hair and this is painful. I understand that Great Clips times their services but seriously! I'm done, no more with the bums rush then expect a tip after a poor quality service. Another noticeable observation, these stylists were very quiet with no conversation, somewhat unconcerned for your happiness. Enough said, I'll find another shop. read more

She is a total pro and could easily be working in a high priced salon. I've had others there do a decent if occasionally uneven job but Rosa, it might be Rosie, is the best. I came here yesterday at 9am. Silma did a one inch trim on my hair. The last time I came here, the lady(dont remember her name) cut off way too much. I told her 2 inches and she cut off almost 4 inches. I've been hesistant to come back since. Silma was great though. She was quick and done in like 10 minutes. I received a flyer in the mail advertising $7.99 haircuts at Great Clips. I decided to try them even though I normally use a competitor. When I got there I was next to be cut. My cutting preference is quite easy. A number 1 blade all over. Sounds easy you would think. I get Shannen the manager to cut my hair. She is polite yet talkative. She starts to cut my hair with the #1 and stops and says you sure you don't want a half? I said no the #1 is fine and she proceeded to cut. Then she steps away to another station and comes back with a new tool and starts rolling it up and down on my neck to smooth it out. She did not ask me, nor did she explain what it was intended to do. She shows me my neckline through the mirror and it's half way up the back of my head. Easily an inch high than normal! As she fixes my collar I can feel my neck hair catching on my shirt. She used an electric razor on my neck which I don't do and now I have it itching and scratching. I wear dress shirts and ties and now I have to deal with the irritation. Not happy, not returning. read more

Stay away from this place. I went with my daughter to see if they would be willing to try and remove 2 knots that had formed in her hair. I told them money was no object. The Manager Shannon said that Maria (stylist) would be permitted to do this and they estimated it would take one hour. They asked us to return the next evening same time to see Maria who said she had 22 years of experience doing hair. Maria promised my little girl she would do her best for her. We were so excited so we returned as scheduled. Maria was there and there was another manager who basically told me they would not be assisting us other than cutting the knots out and moving on. Maria advised me that she had to go by what her manager (that night said) that she had not had a break all day and it was actually going to be her last day. Obviously its churn and burn. We went to a different salon that actually cares and they got the knots out and charge me only $15 for a conditioning treatment. The stylist got a nice big tip from us. Just felt that if they were not able to help us we wouldve been fine and gone someplace else. Bad customer service.
