Such a high turn over of stylists here. Went here every three weeks for years. The owner Alice is so nasty though, she can't keep any staff. None of the original stylists are there except the one cooky lady Barbara, who may not even know she's at work when she's there. I've taken my business elsewhere. I take my 6 yr old son here to get a cut, always go with Rachel for his cut. Never have to wait for her, unless I request her. She gets his cut damn perfect each time. I went in one time to get a cut for myself, Rachel was working, but just got a new customer, and she was going to be a while. Well I ended up with some older lady...bad move. She cut my hair WAY shorter than what I wanted. I said 2 inches, she cut 4 inches..... I won't go there for a cut anymore, but I will keep taking my son there for his cut with Rachel. read more

Melissa (was Hair Stylist at Great Clips, Lonetree)......does anyone know where Melissa went ??? I have not been back to this location for about four years. I come back about six weeks ago, and get my hair cut by Melissa because of a great review. Melissa tells me she has been there forever, so I assumed she would be there next time. I call the store to see if Melissa is working for my next haircut, and I am told Melissa no longer works at Great Clips. Every time I find a great person that knows how to cut hair (high fade).........they end up leaving this location. This place seems not able to retain the the hair stylists that know how to cut hair. Lo is my favorite stylists by far, she always makes my hair look awesome, she has great customer service, & she is very efficient. Horrible experience. Went in And was told to sit in the second station.. Had to clean off the hair from the customer before off of my chair. Then the Mary, the lady that cut my hair, proceeded to grab a pair of scissors from a drawer labeled unsanitized. disgusting. After being told they were clean I asked her to simply trim my hair to remove some of the dead ends and then have it layered. As she began to cut away it looked to me as of she was cutting of quite a lot. I repeated the importance of keeping the length and asked many times if she was making it too short. She said no. I got nervous and went to grab the back of my hair to see the length and was horrified to see how short it was. My hair was long down my back and it was cut to collar bone length. She then tells me she only cut off about 3 inches. that was a bunch of bs. Although she comped me for it I was literally teary eyed leaving. Took me a long time to grow my hair for it to be so carelessly hacked off. I would never go there again. read more

I took both my children to get haircuts, my son has never felt comfortable with the clippers and usually I cut his hair, but Desiree was amazing with him and he was able to get a great looking haircut.. My daughter has very thick hair and we where looking to get a cut and try and thin out a little and add layers and Stephanie did an amazing job, it was much easier for her to do her hair this morning. Horrible customer service..........They pulled a bait and switch and got me for $16.00 when they have a huge sign that advertises $8.99 for all haircuts on there window. Stylist was real rude and said sale ended yesterday, I of course reply then maybe you should take down that HUGE SIGN that say's $8.99 for all haircuts. I actually don't want to give it 1 star. This place had one job and that was to give me a decent haircut. It was horrible, completely uneven. My husband even noticed which says a lot. I got my money back and went across the street to Winnie cuts- they were amazing and fixed it. That will be my new spot! read more

I have visited many Great Clips in many locations in the Bay and other states and I've come like the franchise. I've always found friendly service and received satisfactory haircuts at other locations. This location needs a little help to get it up to par with the service I've received at other locations in the area. The person that greeted and cut my hair wasn't overly friendly but professional enough though she did seem to have a really hard time understanding me when I was giving her my information. My cut was hurried which the quality of the hair cut reflects. $15 dollars for a cut push a $3 tip. read more

I have to agree with the review from January 2015. Ashley is great. I have used great clips Oakley, brentwood and sports clips brentwood. After going to this great clips and having Ashley cut my hair she is the only one I go to. It's the best cut I have gotten from great clips. I have been 7 times always wait for ashley and I haven't been disappointed and more importantly my wife hasn't been disappointed. read more

I received a great hair cut yesterday. The beautician was a complete Sweetheart. After the cut, I asked her if she would blow dry my hair, which she did a fantastic job. After everything was all said and done, I went to pay for the services rendered. My cut was $15.00, and they were going to charge me $35.00 just for the blow dry!!!! What's up with that? The Manager however was kind enough to not charge me, but only because the beautician didn't tell me how much the blow dry would cost me. I'll go back there, but only to get hair cuts; I will walk out of there with wet hair. Great Clips for Hair seriously needs to check into their prices. We're not talking about a fancy salon in the City, this is a walk in salon! I wanted to yelp when I was told the price of the blow dry. read more

Ive been to this Great Clips about three times, on my third visit they put a nut on my head!!!! (John Alexander) This man had no Idea what he was doing. I have a short hair cut and I basically told him I want to get my hair trimmed, longer on the top and shorter on the bottom. I pacifically told John that I didn't want to be bald headed. To make a long story short, when he was so called finished, the stylist gives me the mirror asking me how's this? My hair had no layers, uneven, and he pluged me like twice. I can tell he was looking nervous, I'm sitting up there like you better find somone to fix your mistake. He finally said he was going to get a manager to help him because he doesn't have experience with cutting my kind of hari. Really???!!! Why the hell would you start cutting my hair if you didn't know what the hell you were doing? Not only did he sound ignorant but it was kind of racist at the same time. Hair is hair and the scissors work the same on any type of hair if you know what you're doing. Do not let a rookie on your head!!! Tell them you want someone with experience. Better yet, Great Clips shoud train their staff on what not to say to the clients. The manager did comp me for the haircut but at the same time I would rather had paid money to get my hair cut the way I wanted it. Now I'm forced to walk arount with this short buzzed cute I didn't ask for. read more

HORRIBLE. I had the worst and horrible experience in my entire life with my haircut done by Amanda. I checked in on line there was 0 waiting. So I told myself...I will have time to explain the haircut I wanted and even brought with me a photo. I have long hair and wanted to have a layered shoulder length haircut. Amanda started cutting my hair from the back...then I realized that she cut it too short. When I started to say something...she told me it will not look exactly like the photo and I said I don't expect to look exactly like the photo. I just want her to see the length and layer cut I wanted. But instead Amanda cut my hair almost close to my ears...hello is that what she understood by shoulder length. I asked her to call her manager. Then her manager Ashley took over but it was too late the damaged has been done...and I was still charged for the haircut with $3.00 discount. When I got home I realzed.that not.only that my haircut is way too short , the right side is longer and thicker than the left side. I called Ashley and told her I have to go back after work. They wasted my entire day and worst I was looking forward to attend my HS reunion this weekend with a nice haircut but instead I am very upset and disappointed. I have 5 family members going there almost every month for years....NOT ANYMORE. Amanda...I don't think you know how to listen to your customers. Great clips does not deserve even a penny for the crappy job but they did not even offered me a refund.
