This review is for their eyebrow threading. It's a 10/10 experience, though sometimes I wish they used a different thread. Their prices are amazing, feels like pre inflation costs. They do accept Apple Pay. Sort of not the best neighborhood or area, but I've never had issues shopping in this plaza. read more

Usha is the owner and a well talented multi--tasked beautician. I have been going to her on and off for over 15 years now! Appointments are preferred but she will always accept walk-ins. She has magical hands when it comes to stylish haircuts, eyebrow threading, and hair colors. read more

I still continue to get my eyebrows threaded here. I am never disappointed by Usha and her staff when coming in for eyebrow threading, they do a wonderful job of shaping and cleaning up my brows. They are so attentive and are aware of my natural brow growth. I communicate my brow shape preference and they have deliver the best service based on my natural brow shape and growth. On top of the good service you can't beat the price! It's very affordable for wonderful service!! read more

the new lady who works here ruined my eyebrows, one of them was thinner than the other and then when i went back because one was thinner and farther apart, i ended up looking worse read more

I needed a trim and decided to give this place a try. It's in a huge shopping center so there's a ton of parking. I had called and they took me in within 20 minutes of my call. The place was simple but very clean. USha cut my hair. She listen to what I wanted. I told her I wanted a hair trim but to take off weight. She put an oil in my hair do it wouldn't be frizzy. She cut my hair very fast and gave me what I wanted. The price was $30. I thought that was reasonable. Overall I had a great experience. read more

New Designer Cuts - Hair cut layers - Hair Salons Near Me - Pittsburg, California

Haircut was quick and nice. But I felt its very unprofessional of her. There is no point of taking an appointment. I was on time and she did 2 haircuts saying it wouldn't take long(didnt ask me though, just informed me that she would be doing) and eyebrows. I was there for more than an hour and haircut was done in 10-15mins read more

I've been going to the salon for years. They're threading has been hit or miss depending on who you get to do your eyebrows. I've had some ladies make my eyebrows really thin and some do OK. I'm writing this review because the service I recently received was subpar. As you all know, this salon can be really busy so be prepared for long wait times. As I'm waiting one day, someone who came in after me, proceeds to get their eyebrows threaded before me. I will not be returning. Be prepared for a long wait and potentially being served out of order. read more

Glad this place is here. I used to drive all the way to Vallejo to get my brows threaded. They are quick and affordable. Oh One more thing... wear a mask please!!!! They require it whether you are vaccinated or not. read more

I called for an appointment and was scheduled in. She said come at 12 so I come and she said I have to wait 45minutes. Such a disappointment. Why make appointments if you aren't going to stand on it? Unprofessional. read more

I come here to get my eyebrows threaded and they are usually super fast no appt needed which is nice since I usually just go when I have time and am in the area. I never have the same person threading me, they have a lot of employees, some that I never see again which I don't like, but they all seem to do a good job at keeping my shape. They used to be $8 a few months ago I think they might have new owners, it is $10 for threading now which is super inexpensive in this area and they do a good job! read more

I got my eyebrows threaded here for the first time and I am in LOVEEEE! Thank you Keke ( I'm not sure how to spell it) for helping me! I will definitely be back. read more

I just got my eyebrows threaded and I am so incredibly pleased! The owner Osha did an amazing job! She listened to me and kept them thick the way I like and really took her time(it was still quick) She told me all her girls are really good. It was very cheap! I also got a little stamp card so my 10th eyebrow thread is free. I like stuff like that. I recommend this place for all your threading needs! read more

Very bad service here for a hair color & highlights. The lady in the back station ruined my hair . She damaged it so bad with the chemicals. She had to redo my hair 4 days later and had an attitude because she couldn't get my hair right the first time and I went back to her and I showed her so she purposely messed it up because she wanted me to pay her again to redo my hair from the roots. It look like it had already grown out 2 1/2 months of growth in four days.Don't waste your time or money read more

I could walk right in, I explained to Oma, (forgive me if I misspelled your name) that I have white hairs coming in and was thinking of dying it. Oma was able to explain highlights would last longer and look nicer after growth compared to dying it, so I took the professional advice. I also explained I wanted to grow out my hair so she didn't cut much off which is great. Oma is always there on Mondays. The woman who did my eyebrows, she is good and quick. Both these ladies had people trickling in to get their eyebrows and hair done. I am glad to have found a new place. read more

Stopped here to get my eyebrows threaded. I didn't have to wait long (maybe 5 minutes). The space was clean and comfortable. I love that she didn't give me super thin brows- I prefer clean naturally shaped brows and that is what I got. I will definitely keep coming here. read more

Our entire family from my husband to our youngest son who is eight goes to New Designer cuts. Have been a customer since 2012. Very friendly, professional staff. Usha is exceptional and caters to each customers likes and make the necessary recommendation when you don't know what is best to do with your hair. Truly a hidden gem and a must place to get your salon needs. Easy to make appointments specially on an ASAP need, tries their best to accommodate on walk-ins if you're willing to wait, otherwise, they will offer the next available appointment on schedule. We try to make appointments as were during our visits because the calendar fills up fast. But no worries, they do try to accommodate everyone the best possible way without compromising the quality of their services. read more

Again, I forgot to ask for the name of the woman who threaded my brows lol. Anyway, I walked in with no appointment booked and patiently waited for her to finish. There were 2 other women ahead of me and when it was my turn, she thanked me for waiting patiently. As she was threading my brows, I told her how I needed to come in more and not attempt to tweeze my brows myself anymore; Sometimes I get too lazy to leave my home to get them done but NEVER AGAIN! I appreciated this woman taking her time with my brows. As always, it was quick, but you can always tell when someone cares about their work. My left brow is naturally not as full as my right but after looking at her work when she was finished, I was so in shock at how good my brows looked! Next time I'll try and get her name, and maybe even a before and after pic. read more

I've been coming here for quite a few years now, actually since they've opened. The atmosphere is always good. It can get busy at times but it is to be expected because they are the ONLY reasonable eyebrow threading shop that I know of in the area. The owner and her staff are always friendly and thankful for the business they receive. The owner always asked about my mom and sisters because they come here too. The hours of business are good and they are open seven days a week! I just love the service I receive every time read more

Usha is a lady with magic hands. She is super friendly, listens to what you want, great to chat with and does an awesome job. The salon is always clean and everyone is so friendly. Really good customer service. I recently got a haircut andi love it. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I came into this place for spur-of-the-moment haircut after doing some shopping at Target. There's probably about 3-4 salons around the area and I figured I'd stop by here. I walk in and am immediately seated for a haircut. That was great. There was also another lady getting her eyebrows threaded. After I was seated and talked to the stylist about what I wanted with my hair, I expected her to get her tools and start cutting my hair like how it normally happens... Nope. She turns around to the other customer (because she too wanted her hair done or something) and starts talking about her hair and what to do with it WHILE her eyebrows were still being threaded. All the while I'm sitting there... watching her have a conversation. She comes back to do my hair and here I'm thinking- ok finally. She can focus on my hair now... Nope. The other customer just goes off again and starts talking and instead of cutting my hair while talking, the hair stylist lets go of my hair and literally turns her head and body to give the other customer her full-fledged attention. She then goes over to examine her hair while I'm sitting there... Who the hell does that!? She continued doing this, cutting a couple things off my hair and then turning around and conversing with the other lady. She tells me how she used to work in a salon where they charged 50 dollars for a haircut and how people from afar would come here just to have their hair cut by her. Really? TLDR; Go somewhere else. read more

I've been coming here for years! This is the only place I will go for my brows perriooodtt!! They are always quick with their service and very friendly as well. Usha is extremely skilled, takes her time, and my eyebrows always come out perfect!! I recommend this place to all my friends an fam.. you won't be disappointed read more

Went to get my haircut today. Was $14.00 and the lady did a good job with one exception: she cut my ear. There was blood gushing out of my ear lobe. LOL. but she DID do a good job, hence the 3 stars. I feel bad because they are struggling like all the other businesses out there, so I will go back for another haircut and raise my rating IF she does a good job like she did now and does NOT cut my ear. She was obviously embarrassed and apologetic and I did not leave a tip. Give them a try if you have a simple haircut. Can't speak for the ladies because my hairdo doesn't require much work, ya know..?! read more

Love love love this place. Moved to antioch about 5 years ago and my friend recommended this place. I have been getting my hair and eyebrows Done here since than and so does my mom and sister whenever they visit. Usha does a great job with hair. You won't be disappointed with her work. New Designer Cuts - Get your eyebrows threaded 10 times and 11th is free! - Hair Salons Near Me - Pittsburg, California

I found myself to be in dire need of a haircut. It was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and I just couldn't bare to go another day with the mess on my head. I usually go to another salon in the same shopping center, but they're closed on Tuesdays. So I dropped in at New Designer Cuts. I had no appointment, and I had no idea who would end up cutting my hair. I lucked out. The woman who did told me her name is "Hilary". She did an excellent job. I told her that I wanted a short cut. (I think I said it many times) And that's exactly what I got. I hadn't had that good of a cut in many months. I think I've found my new "go-to" person. I'll just need to remember she said she isn't there on Wednesdays. I'm a very happy camper! read more

Worst experience ever!! DO NOT let Osha cut your hair! The layers she cut were not only uneven but they were super choppy! Osha is nice, I'm not trying to be mean but I'm trying to have others avoid having the experience I did. My hair was the opposite of what I asked for and just flat out a bad cut. read more

This is and has been my go to place for eyebrow threading and hair trims for a long time. I moved out of the area but when I come through town I make a special trip to get my brows and hair done. Usha and her staff do a great job! read more

I love this place. I always feel so welcome when I come here. I almost always get my haircut here by the barber they have, Lloyd. This guy is awesome!!! I get compliments all the time after leaving this place. He is probably the best barber in the Co Co County if not one of the top barbers in the Bay Area. He puts in a lot of effort when cutting here and he makes sure your satisfied before you leave. Just make sure you make an appointment with him, much better than waiting because his cuts usually take an hour or so and it is well worth the wait. On another note I bring my wife here for haircuts, eyebrow threading and coloring her hair. So what we have noticed is: Usha and Samira are great for eyebrow threading. Sherri is the best for men's/women's haircuts, hair coloring, and highlights. We have been going to this place for a number of years and there prices are very reasonable. I would always recommend making an appointment, but I know they take walk-in's as well. It usually gets packed in here so plan accordingly, especially around the weekend. read more
