Don't come here looking for some kind of astronomically gastronomical experience. It's just a big "Chinese" buffet. And they have all the things one might expect at a big "Chinese" buffet. Everything from good ol' sweet & sour chicken to a "make your own bowl" setup, to some cheap desserts, and a wide selection of Asian-oriented foodstuffs throughout. Overall, the place is clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The food stations were clean and well kept. Food is organized by groups: starches, food-types, temperatures, meats / veggies. The layout is spacious, and I've heard it can get really crowded. There was a constant "churn" of customers while I was there. This means the food is fresh, and nothing sits around for too long. Wait staff was pretty good about keeping my glass full, and as I was saying before, there was plenty of food to sample and appreciate. The price point was okay. It's a really good value. I'll happily go back. Holler if you're coming with. read more

Good food and great price! Your family going out to eat, no preparing, no cooking, no CLEANING! All we do is eat. Stayed here 2 hours, eat everything you like. Hibachi Chef, TWO thumbs up! Thank you for being you chef! read more

As buffets go only so so.. moderately priced. They tout their sushi and hibachi and neither is anything to write home about to be honest. Sushi was pretty slim pickings and Hibachi options very slim and meat did not look very good at all. Pretty bland with only three sauce options I saw. Cook way too bust texting to pay attention to his cooking IMO. Actually not bad but one of the "least good" chinese buffets I have ever been to. Not close to Sakura in McDonough which is not that much further. Salt and pepper shrimp pretty good, fried shrimp good but those were the highlights. Nice friendly service and quite crowded for 4 PM on a Sunday. Obviously someone thinks a lot of the place. Actually had to wait 10 or so minutes to be seated. All in all, would opt for somewhere else for this type of thing. Seems like lots of other people today disagreed with me so perhaps your luck will be better. Went back. Tried hibachi. Easily the worst ever. Chef totally clueless. Added someone else's eggs to my dish. Did not even acknowledge me for two minutes in spite of not being busy at all. Not one star yet but close. read more

Nothing special. Plenty of selections on a decent buffet. Not all Chinese food. Plenty of seafood if you're interested, and a few traditional American choices. Overall nothing special in quality or taste just an average Chinese buffet. read more

It's a buffet. The food is good and the restaurant was clean. I constantly saw staff refilling the buffet with fresh food and wiping and cleaning. But, it is a buffet. Don't go there expecting a 5 Star Restaurant. Buffet food is meant to fill you up and it will. I've had better, but I've certainly had waaaaaaaay worse. If you enjoy buffets, this one is good. In addition to the buffet food, they have Mongolian grill, Noodle Soup bar, and sushi. So you do have variety with that. read more

i was seated quickly. they seemed to rush us through our meal and did not refill our water until i asked for it when they brought out my check (we were still eating, though some of us moved onto desserts). for vegetarians there is a poor selection of food and no clear vegetarian food labeling. however, i would say this place is definitely worth your money for meateaters. my favorite items were: 1) egg drop soup-- tastes like any other chinese restaurants. placed next to wonton strips and chopped green onions (a plus!) 2) vermicelli noodles 3) vegetarian sushi roll had more than one ingredient inside. they have seaweed salad, ginger and wasabi. spicy mayo too! read more

This is about the best Chiniese buffet that I have had in Georgia. The resturant is pretty inside decorated with fiber optic light fixtures and beautiful chandeliers. It appears to be clean. There are plenty of seating, both booths and tables. They have a large meeting space for large groups. The servers keep the food bars full at all time and tidy. The waitstaff was nice and friendly. Our waitress kept our cups full and our table empty from the used dirty plates. They have a large selection. They have a Sushi bar, hibachi grill with all the fixens, and a pho bar(that's new since my last visit). The food is hit or miss. I like the hot and sour soup. My son likes The coconut shrimp, there real tasty. Some of the Sushi is okay. I noticed they make a lot of rolls with cream cheese and I don't like it. The salad bar does need some improvement. The lettuce was floating in water. They have a small dessert bar with individual ice cream bars(ice cream sandwich, ice cream cups, and popsicles). I had chocolate ice cream. It was average. You pay on the way out of the restaurant. I did notice they have buffet to go. They weigh it and charge you by the pound. When I'm in the mood for Chiniese buffet,Great Chow is my choice. read more

So, you only turn 21 once and my friends asked me "Chelsey, what do you wanna do?" I planned on having dinner, but I wasn't sure what. Then comes the time to make a decision. Italian? No Upscale? No A bar and grill? No Chinese food? Yes. Buffet style? Yeah sure. And that's how I came to Great Chow. The food was fresh and there was an awesome array of foods to try. I started with the basic Chinese foods they offer and then I went for the make-your-own-pho line and when I tell you, it was so good!!! Our waittress Evonne, was a sweetheart and came by multiple times to refill our drinks and take our plates each and every time she thought that we were ready for new plates. All in all, I enjoyed it. I'd come back again. read more

This place is amazing I love how kind and sweet the staff are I kid you not I went to get some food and when I came back they refilled my coke I was so shocked because I never asked for a refill and I thought that was so sweet and also a woman right next to us had a baby that was fussing and the staff tried to calm the baby down to let the mom eat and they even picked up the bottle he dropped the food is also very good I absolutely love it here. read more

For those of you who don't like buffets....this buffet will make you a believer. This is probably the best buffet that I've ever eaten ate. The food is fresh, there was a great variety, as well as great service. Our waitress, Evonne, never let the plates sit on our table for more than maybe a minute and a half. I was surprised to see the 8 hot bars, two desert areas, Hibachi Grill, Sushi area, and an area where they held ice creams cups. I definitely like the ice cream concept because you don't have to worry about waiting in a long line for someone to use the machine and make a mess. They also have popsicles. The establishment is very clean and although the outside doesn't look as nice the inside is very clean and simple styled. They have beautiful chandeliers above the buffets. And plenty of seating on both sides of the restaurant. You don't pay for the buffet until afterwards, when you're getting ready to leave. The lunch and dinner menu pretty much is the same, the only thing that I noticed was not available were the Blue Crabs. I saw the blue crabs pictures on people reviews but I think they made up for that with having plenty of seafood including salmon, crawfish, shrimp, and other seafood like octopus. The salad bar is the only thing i noticed that is lacking. They could definitely step it up but it definitely has the basics. I've eaten at many buffets including in Las Vegas and this is definitely my favorite. The variety was definitely amazing and I was surprised to see so many different types of food that crosses so many different cultures and that variety of techniques used to cook the food making it easy for people with different dietary issues to partake. And seaoning, I've never been to a buffet the seasons their veggies. Is the the best food I've ever had...of course not but it is the best I've had for this style of buffet and the amount of money. I got more than my monies worth and enjoyed every bite. Did i mention they have a Pho bar!!!???!! I'll be back. read more

As a New Yorker Chinese buffets are not new. This is a typical buffet but the food isn't good in my opinion flavor wise. Most things were tasteless or had a off taste. Also it stunk so bad nearest the little room the waiters get the drinks from. I personally will not be back but for people with no taste buds you can't beat 10.99 buffet dinner. Green beans were good Chicken and broccoli - disgusting Fried shrimp - tasteless Steak and Korean beef were tough Crawfish was awful Crab legs were clearly meant for newborns Mussels were good On the bright side our waitress was very nice. read more

The inside of this restaurant is very nicely done!! The food, however, is mediocre. I was expecting the food to be better than the decor, but that was not the case. The lettuce at the salad bar was turning and looked the furthest thing from fresh. The sushi had avocados in it which were also turning. Some of their hot foods were not warm. The price for the food was decent, but I don't really see myself ever wanting this place again. read more

We found this place during a roadtrip. Just needed a cheap place to fill our stomach after hours of driving. I was pleasantly surprised. The lunch buffet was around $8 on a weekday. It offers pretty standard buffet food selections plus a hibachi and a noodle soup bar. I skipped almost everything else and had two awesome soups with beef tendon, meat balls, fish fillet, cabbage and bean sprouts. It tasted similar to pho and I was able to have a low carb high protein meal in a Chinese buffet, which never happens. read more

The food was fresh and what an variety! They have crawfish, blue crab , frog legs, mussels, delicious shrimp, fresh Sushi , the typical Chinese food. Fried rice, beef and broccoli , sweet and sour chicken, salad bar , hibachi and ice bar assortment to end your meal. This is a very clean establishment. Nice staff. I never even had to ask for an refill. To top things off you get 10%off for mentioning Yelp. I am a big fan and soon to be repeat customer. read more

I found a maggot cooked in the food and all she said was that sorry they didn't wash the broccoli right . Smh also they measure kids 10 year old kids and if they're over 59 inches they are going to be charged as an adult that's crazy. Don't come here there's better places. There's one in McDonough off exit 218 that's way better! read more

Nice new buffet. Pretty standard Chinese buffet, nothing out of the ordinary. $7.49 for the lunch buffet until 3:30..... just hope that it stays this price. Dinner price of $10.99 charged this weekend (memorial day weekend), not sure if this will always be the price on Saturday & Sunday. One thing that I would like to see improved is the food offering......if they are charging $7.49 for lunch & $10.99 for dinner than I would expect to see more food options during dinner for the higher price. The same food that is offered on the buffet during lunch is the same exact food that is served during dinner so why charge more money for the same food? Usually when a buffet charges more for dinner it is because they are offering more food options or adding crab legs to the buffet. **Side note** they try and pretend that they are not aware that there is a grand opening 10% discount off your bill when you mention Yelp..... just speak with the manager. Decor is very nice and there was enough selection to keep me happy. Had the standard things that you see on a Chinese buffet..... sweet n sour chicken, chicken with broccoli, cheese wontons, veggie spring rolls and fried rice. Definitely needed another Chinese buffet in this part of town, I just hope that they keep everything clean and fresh. Left with a happy tummy and will definitely return. read more

Food was fresh and the variety of food choices was great! I will definitely go there again!

Chalk up another good thing that was ruined by COVID. No sushi, no hibachi, no ice cream, and downsized from 8 buffet serving tables to 6, while raising the price slightly. Food is still very good, limited selection was diverse enough. But I go there first & foremost for the sushi. So if that is not an issue for you, I recommend it. All staff masked, gloves available at bar for handling food spoons, clean as it always is. Not the most personable staff, but I go to eat, not socialize. read more

Great place to get a genuine Chinese buffet experience. I always get my buffet plates with their signature orange soda. They never run out of food there either so that's a major plus. Major Negative: our waitress handed us our bill and hovered around over our table waiting for us to pay. On top of it, we weren't even done with our dessert plates. There's nothing more annoying in the world than a waiter staring you down for payment. So we left no tip due to the disrespect. 4 stars for overall food quality. read more
