The process was fast and also not by a clever , experienced mechanic or owner. So we left with an unsure feeling , the trailer was all over the place , my wife called friends who were RVers and asked if this was normal . NO it was not. Go to Del Maestro they will help you. Long story short they found my hitch was set up totally wrong and the anti sway bar not installed and the weight distribution bars not connected the trailer hitch didn't even have a safety bolt installed. They corrected it all and gave us a reassuring slow walk around of safety items and pros and cons. Never will we go back to The other dealer ... they should be reprimanded . And as they don't need a licence , which is an absolute mistake by our government, no where can you find registered , licensed mechanics with a 4 year course with one year on job work. And payed as much if not more than Auto mechanics. THIS SHOULD BE MANDATORY BY OUR GOVERNMENT! I know there are mini courses to get a mini licence but far from a real mechanic !

I got a call from the police stating my trailer was recovered at a private address . I call to check on the trailer I was told, it's in the lot , I asked are you sure. My trailer was indeed stolen off their lot and they did not report it stolen this was the Tuesday and my trailer was apparently stolen Sunday morning. They were asked to pick up at the recovery site and refused. I had have to cover the cost to for the tow and storage so they can take the trailer back to their lot to continue repair. I was never told my trailer was stolen by them and now it is my fault because they have a sign that says they are not responsible for loss or damage. The trailer was left at an easy accessible point and someone was able to hook it up and drive away. Igor service manager insist I file an insurance claim. Negligence, incompetence and untrustworthy would be my three words for this company RUN as far as possible. There is no family action in the family run business which was the only reason I went with them .

Letting the kids have free reign over the snacks did wonders for morale, which was perfect for not being able to wash dishes. We ventured northward to a few provincial parks and can't say enough about the endless hiking trails and breathtaking vistas and memories being made as family. Upon returning home and addressing our issues with the owner Amy Verwey, I was thoroughly pleased with her professionalism in smoothing over any bumpy edges. Her communication was absolutely flawlessly and seamlessly executed and beyond fair and reasonable. She addressed our concerns, actioned them swiftly and promptly, and reflected on areas of service where training could be improved. I don't believe one can ask for more when it comes to customer service. In short, Amy exceeded our expectations and instilled tremendous confidence in Owasco as a place to rent and visit again when making a future RV purchase

We have also dealt with their service department and they did do everything that was outlined. They were professional and got the job done. We have no problems with this deal at all. That being said we just upgraded to a new rig and couldnt be more thrilled. Thanks Layzee Acres!! L. Schmidt

Layzee Acres: Low Prices Can Come With a High Cost…read more I purchased a new 2026 Highland Ridge / Open Range 3X 287RLS from Layzee Acres RV Sales for $87,000 plus tax, close to $100,000 total. I took delivery on September 4, 2026. As of October 5, just over one month later, I am still dealing with numerous unresolved workmanship, installation, electrical and operational problems. A large part of this experience is documented by email. Before pickup, I asked Brandon Hanemaayer whether the PDI covered the roof and sealants, slides, 120V/12V systems, plumbing, tanks, propane, heating/A/C, appliances, outlets, doors, windows, cabinets, fit and finish, safety items and other major systems, and whether defects found would be corrected before delivery. His written answer was: "All of those are gone over, yes. If they find any problems they are corrected before pickup." That assurance matters because problems were being found and repaired during the delivery walkthrough itself. Loose or missing screws and sealant issues were corrected as I pointed them out. Then, when I asked how to change the central-vacuum bag, the entire vacuum assembly came off the wall. The technician spent about 45 minutes reinstalling it, consuming a large part of our two-hour orientation. Once home, we found the RV was still very dirty and required substantial cleaning. Shortly afterward, the factory Progressive Dynamics PD1618A inverter failed with an E5 internal error. About ten days after delivery, we took the RV camping to test all systems, and more issues appeared. Problems documented so far include the failed inverter; abnormal relay cycling on the replacement inverter; complete failure of the Dometic/Go Power solar controller; cracked slide moulding; nails protruding behind mouldings on all three slides; exterior screws loosening or falling out; unsecured fittings and doors; an unsecured water-hose pass-through cover; a TV mounted out of level; recliner/armrest issues; inadequately secured heating ducts; water trapped above the underbelly membrane; inaccurate tank sensors; a bed-platform support issue; construction debris in hidden areas; substantial sawdust and wood debris in an A/C return-air cavity; and debris in the Winegard ceiling area. For the failed inverter, I proposed the practical solution myself: remove it, ship it back, receive the replacement and reinstall it. Layzee Acres accepted and covered shipping. Later, Lucas Geisser, Service Manager and Dealer Principal, emphasized Layzee Acres' "cost leadership Nationwide" and the inconvenience of buying from a distant dealer. I understand that distance complicates warranty work, but this is not the issue. I negotiated the price of a new RV. I did not negotiate away the PDI, preparation, cleanliness or quality. The solar-controller problem became so involved that I had to work directly with Go Power/Dometic, open factory panels, take measurements and send photos of the OEM RV-C wiring. Their technician said the configuration should work, but also stated he had never seen it done that way before, with all the wires connected together in one bundle. Jayco has responded and opened a case, and I acknowledge that. But more than one month after delivery, there is still no complete, coordinated reinspection of the RV, no consolidated deficiency list and no clear repair plan. We are still moving one defect at a time and one supplier at a time. I have emails, photos and videos documenting this experience. I am not claiming that no PDI was performed; Layzee Acres says an internal PDI report exists. My question is simple: how could a brand-new RV that was supposedly inspected and corrected before pickup be delivered with this many visible defects, installation problems and technical failures almost immediately? What should have been the purchase of a new, inspected and travel-ready RV has instead become an ongoing project of cleaning, inspection, diagnosis, documentation and warranty coordination. More to come.

RENTERS BEWARE OF ADJUSTMENTS ON ARRIVAL / BEING OVER CHARGED…read more Read ENTIRE Rental Agreement closely. Important details regarding rental are not highlighted by rental department staff. You would think it would be incumbent upon Outdoor Travel management to highlight potential additional charges at pick-up. We were shown how to use onboard generator but not advised that there was an ADDITIONAL CHARGE for use. That important COSTLY detail was only discovered when final bill was received. Not only were we not made aware of possible additional charge(s) (charges as listed in the Rental Description (SMALL PRINT) / Adjustments On Arrival (SMALL PRINT), we were OVERCHARGED FOR USE OF GENERATOR. Adjustment to bill was only made AFTER matter was brought up with Rental Management. Spoke to Rental Manager then RV Sales Manager regarding matter. Even though the possible charge was not disclosed at pickup, their argument was "Use was listed in the agreement (SMALL PRINT) and to expect no adjustments". Having discussed matter with RV Sales Manager, this appeared to be a revenue-grabbing opportunity for company. There was absolutely no consideration for the customer! RENTERS BEWARE OF FINE PRINT IN AGREEMENT!! Had we simply been advised of use, alternative arrangements would have been made to mitigate the COSTLY generator bill. WILL DEFININATELY NOT RETURN!!!! If you are looking to purchase, drive up to SICARD RV. Have dealt with them on multiple occasions in the past. They know how to look after their customers and provide outstanding customer service!!
