Both were enjoyable, we sat on the couch and relaxed a bit. The girls working there were nice and pleasant. We didn't try anything else but they do serve desserts as well on their menu. Give them a try if you're in that area.

I have a very soft spot for this location. The workers at this location came to know us as frequent visitors and would often get our orders ready before we even reached the cash register (jasmine green tea with double lychee jelly 50% sweet for me; citrus lord with crystal boba 50% sweet for him). I wrote my med school application essays in this shop; they were here to support me when I stressed during interviews; and they told me congratulations and gave me free swag as a goodbye present when I shared that I had gotten in and needed to move away. Many happy memories were had here, and I will never forget the kindness and great service that I experienced here. The drinks are, as with every Feng Cha location, absolutely delicious as well. FC is one of the only boba shops that makes drinks that feel light and airy instead of heavy and syrupy, and for that reason they will always be my favorite! By the way, to everyone who is complaining that the cakes taste salty: yes, they're supposed to. The stuff on top is cheese foam. You know, like cream cheese.

My sister and I decided to come here for a weekend sweet treat, and we're so glad we did! The owner was behind the counter, and informed us that they had just reopened after spending a few days working out of their food truck. We got to meet Kinsley, the owner's daughter and who the restaurant is named after. Their mission is to support people who have Down syndrome and they hire them to work at the restaurant. The location is small, but they do have a couple of tables to sit and eat your food. After looking at the extensive menu, we decided to share the peach cobbler funnel cake, a popular item there. The funnel cake is large, and the ice cream scoop was a generous portion as well. In short, it was so good. We wanted to immediately go back the next day for another funnel cake, but we have some self control. I can't wait to go back and support this local business and try another fun flavor! Supporting their mission is the icing on the cake.

The Hubby and I were on date night continuing our "Eating the Alphabet" around the DFW area (check…read moreus out on YouTube: HowWeDoHWD), and even though it was chilly outside, we couldn't resist stopping by Melt on Magnolia in Fort Worth. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, sunshine-filled space that smelled absolutely divine--fresh, homemade waffle cones baking and filling the room with happiness. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and even offered samples (yes please!), which made choosing a flavor both fun and deliciously difficult. After a few tastes, I landed on Sweet Cream and Cookie Crush--and wow. The sweet cream was classic and comforting, instantly reminding me of my grandmother's homemade ice cream. The cookie crush brought bold flavor: rich, house-made dark chocolate cookies folded into salty vanilla ice cream. The perfect balance of sweet, salty, and indulgent. Pros: Warm and happy aesthetic, heavenly cone smells, and super friendly staff. Cons: The inside is a bit small with limited seating--but during warmer days, the outdoor patio offers plenty of space to enjoy your scoop. I will absolutely be returning to Melt. It's cozy, nostalgic, and full of flavor--definitely worth the stop, no matter the weather.
