Paid for a regular and a small. Asked to clean the slab because I have a nut allergy and I could tell the employer was visibly frustrated. I ordered the regular and my girlfriend got a small. No greeting upon entry one of the staff persons was making herself a smoothie abs did not look up to see if anyone needed help. When the young man that was in the space finished with the customer he was with he disappeared to the back without a word and did not return. Mainly leaving this because I've never had any issues and the people leaving one stars are cry babies about not getting a waffle bowl or hours not being correct. Service was very poor. Ordered a strawberry shortcake Sunday. I asked to use strawberry ice cream. The server just started putting the various ingredients into a cup. I love Marble Slab as an ice cream place overall. This location is not good. The worst I've ever been to in fact and I frequent Marble Slabs quite often. They're supposed to have a specialty menu that includes a certain ice cream with certain mix ins. For example, Cotton Candy Ski Jump is cotton candy ice cream with mini M&M's and marshmallows. This location doesn't have those menus at all. When I ordered the one mentioned above, employees had no idea what it was and asked me 3 different times what mix ins I wanted because they had already forgotten. It's M&M's and marshmallows..... They don't have the same ice cream and toppings as every other location I've seen. They also charged us for a waffle bowl then put it in a regular cup thinking we wouldn't notice because they didn't give us a receipt. The only pro is that this location is open one hour later than most. Most close at 9 or 10 and this closes at 11. However, they started shutting down around us at 10:30 while we were still inside eating. 10/10 recommend Marble Slab as a chain, would NOT recommend this location. read more

We went in 30 minutes till close (we thought it was 1hr and 30min but their winter hours are different) ((corporate you need to update these online and not just post a paper outside the door)) our little table was dirty and the staff were not friendly at all you could tell they were upset that we came in close to closing time. Ordered a Birthday Cake Cookie Fudge for my son and when I went to pick it up two days later I was told that it wasn't read. The decorator hadn't written the message that I had requested to be put on the cake and they weren't there for the day. After waiting for cashiers to write the message I noticed that the cake didn't look anything like pictured. No Oreo Cookies or the dreamy layer of fudge that was on the description and picture of the cake online. I explained to both of the cashiers that if I am paying $54 for a cake I expect to at least get what I ordered but they really weren't able to do much. LOVE THIS PLACE! Everytime I go I get the birthday cake ice cream and add fresh strawberries, bananas and yellow cake crumbs to it and it always comes out deliscious! The ice cream is always soft and perfectly cold. Its a real treat always stopping by here. They have so much to choose from! Different cones, waffle bowls and even shakes and banana splits! You can customize your own banana split! How cool is that!? If you havent been, you need to give it a try. I feel like these treats are pretty damn pricey, but I'm not sure how they compare to other mix-in ice creams shops. The ice cream is damn tasty, but $6 for regular cup of ice cream and M&Ms? Seems a little precious. This location is dead a lot of the time--which is great for getting in and out. Just AVOID between 3:30 and 5:00 or so. I made that mistake once and had to wait in line behind an army of tween girls all getting frozen yogurt-based smoothies with strawberries. Mix in your favorite topping (mine is Heath bar) and you are in for a great treat. Ice cream is good as always even though it tends to melt super fast. Reason I'm not giving it a great review is because I was surprised by the customer service. Mostly the manager. The guy who was making the ice cream was fine but because I didn't tell them the mix ins I wanted fast enough, the manager wouldn't allow me to get the second mix in because he said that I already got two scoops. Anyways, he explained how the unlimited mix ins worked and how he would go out of business. I think as a manager that you should be more concerned with pleasing your customers than saving the potential 20 cents from giving me a scoop of nuts for my Icecream. It was just kind of odd to me that he was that concerned. I've never experience this going to the marble slab in college station where I go often. It has been awhile since we've been here. I was rather displeased with the visit. When I said I wanted rocky road there was a discussion amongst the employees on how to make it. Come on now if one works in an ice cream shop they surely should now what rocky.road is. The tables were filthy with dried ice cream on them and to top it off they removed the water fountain. Every time we come here, I'm never certain on what I want and they do a great job of letting me really figure it while not being pushy and still providing great service.
