In November 2024, I took my 2012 C250 Mercedes Benz to European Auto, for diagnosing problem, they…read morestoled me ECU, and when ask about it, first they told me that car didn't have one, then they changed the store that it was in Little Elm being reprogrammed.. after weeks of back and forth with them, speaking to Edward, trying to find out what to my ECU, he kept giving excuse after excuse, from the Mechanic mother died, to the own crash and died.
I ended up taking my car back from the shop after almost 1 year of back forth and excuses. Today, I still have received my ECU. They stoled my ECU and gave me three different ECUs that does not even belong to a C250 Mercedes. I am now heading to court.
Do not take your care there. Parts will be stolen from and they will try hand you back none functioning car.
Here is what happened:
The car had shut down and displayed an Anti- Theft message on the instrument panel. I had the car towed there and the shop stated that the "sans unit" needed to be replaced, which cost me over $1,000.
The vehicle remained at the Shop until mid-January 2025, at which time they deli ered it. When I picked it up late in the evening after business hours, the instrument panel displayed new errors stating that the anti-skid system and ABS were unavailable and instructing me to see the operator's manual.
Believing this might have been due to an incomplete reconnection during the repair, I took a photo of the error message. The following morning, I called the Shop to notify them. The Shop advised me to bring the vehicle back for further inspection.
Before I made it back to the shop, the car shut down completely while being driven.
The instrument panel displayed the same error message as in the original breakdown.
I then had the vehicle towed back to the Shop, they had it for approximately three to four weeks before informing me that the ECU was defective and would need to be replaced at a cost of $1500.
I informed the Shop that I needed a second opinion and would arrange to have the vehicle towed elsewhere.
On April 2, 2025, when I went to pick up the vehicle, it was delivered to me without an ECU installed. I immediately asked, where is the ECU and first they told the car did not come there with one, then they changed their story and said it was in Little Elm being programmed.
After about about another 3 to four weeks of back and forth with excuse after excuse, they called said they have the ECU and I could come and pickup the car. When I got there, Edward handed two ECUs in my hand. I demanded to have the ECU installed and he had a Mechanic came outside where the car was and tried install it and none of the two ECUs fit.
I immediately took photographs of the engine compartment showing the absence of the ECU, as well as photographs of the ECU units being placed on top of the engine while a mechanic attempted installation and did not take delivery of the car.
Long story short, the car got towed to my house with three different ECUs, none belong the C250 Mercedes, and my ECU was missing. I am currently taking them to court.
I do not recommend this shop. They are dishonest. DO NOT TAKE YOU CAR THERE.
