I recently paid approximately $4,800 for a full vehicle inspection and repair services. which…read moreincluded exhaust work, suspension, brakes/rotors for front and rear, and additional maintenance items such as filters, battery replacement, fluid services, and related components. Which was a nice size scope of work. While the quoted price for parts and labor was on the higher end, I moved forward with the expectation of receiving high-quality workmanship, professionalism, and a reasonable turnaround time. Prior to the work being completed, my interactions with Brian Howell were respectful and professional. He was polite, attentive, and gave me confidence in choosing this shop. I was notified on Friday (03/27) that my vehicle was ready for pickup, and at that time everything appeared to be in order. However, the following morning on my way to work, I turned on the heat/blower and immediately noticed something was wrong. After checking the cabin air filter housing, I discovered that no cabin air filter had been installed and the cover was also missing. When I returned to the shop Monday morning and spoke with Brian Howell, his demeanor was completely different. Instead of the professionalism shown earlier, I was met with a dismissive attitude. I explained the issue, but he responded in a way that made me feel as though I was being dishonest, stating he did not believe his lead mechanic would make such an error. I was asked to wait until the mechanic arrived to essentially disprove my claim with possible photos of the work being done What felt like an eternity later, Brian and the mechanic returned from the shop, and the mechanic had a cabin air filter in hand--confirming that it had indeed not been installed. I was then told By Brian not the mechanic the filter had been forgotten, and that the cover was supposedly missing prior to service, which is not accurate. I was offered the filter and told they could order a replacement cover, which I declined. I instead requested a refund for the labor charge associated with the cabin air filter service ($78.00). Despite paying in cash, I was told a check would be mailed within a week. I understand that mistakes can happen. However, the way this situation was handled especially the shift in attitude, lack of accountability, and the way I was made to feel when raising a valid concern was unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this shop to others. I refuse to let the saftey of my family and myself relay on the work performed by such a shop ran by someone who lacks accountability and respect.

Do not recommend any repairs or regular maintenance being done here big rip off had brakes done…read moreand was charged 1000$ and recently break line has failed and shop refused to correct the issue and trying to charge me 200$ for repair which is a single brake line!! Do not go here

Stopped due to having to replace a tire in a pinch…read more Pros: -The service center looks like it is able to handle most types of auto service needs, and likely at a slightly lower price -The fact its attached to the Walmart comes in handy. You could do some minor shopping while your vehicle is being worked on -No negative issues with the staff Cons: -I'm still a little curious about their level of expertise. They can do an oil change, they can change a tire, but for more complicated and expensive repairs I'm liable to go elsewhere. It's Walmart. One of the challenges of being a jack of all trades: that usually means there is little specialization when you need it -Wasn't a huge fan of the wait room or the location in the store, but that is a minor gripe Bottom line: -I'd trust them with minor to intermediate stuff. went to have tire checked at the Belvidere Walmart due to…read morelow pressure light coming on they told me I had a nail in the tire and they could not repair it therefore I would have to purchase a new tire. Since they said they could not honor my warranty thru Goodyear I told them to fill it and I would go back to Goodyear. Took car to a Goodyear center and they could not find any nail. Do not feel comfortable with their ethics had an oil change done and they were suppose to check my battery, which they said I declined, wash window which on the receipt said not applicable as well as vacuum which again receipt said not applicable. Employees also had a very bad attitude. Use some other location for your services.

RUN AWAY FROM VALVOLINE!! They deserve NEGATIVE stars. I went for a routine oil change last…read moreSaturday for my Audi Q5 which this location had done before. After paying $139.55 I drove about 100 yards down the road to a stop light at which point my engine shut off and would not restart. Immediately called Valvoline and Manager, Michael, came down to look at my car. He reported everything they had done looked fine. Shoved car off main road into parking lot. He tried to convince me it was my battery (even though my lights were on and they checked the battery during oil change). He attempted to jumpstart my car and that was not the issue. Said he would start a customer care claim in case it's their fault and left. I had a tow truck take my car to repair shop where it was proven VALVOLINE neglected to put oil in my car after they drained it!! My motor is locked up and ruined. Not until Monday, did I hear from Lisa, area manager, through customer care line. She insisted she look at the car and try putting oil in it. Met her at repair shop to which she never once said hello, introduced herself, shook hands, or even express empathy for situation. Saw with her own eyes no oil is in the car and motor locked up. Says it has to be towed somewhere for a full diagnostic test and estimates to repair. I requested it go to Audi service department and she flat said no as if it's her vehicle and not mine. Told her I wanted to know where she wanted to take it and who was going to tow it. Was never notified with that information prior to her moving forward with having it towed. I asked for a rental and was told no until she received a diagnostic test and estimate. They received an estimate Tuesday at 2 pm and passed it on to their insurance company. I'm still being refused a rental vehicle and have had to call off work for 3 consecutive days to date. Was told insurance company would contact me yesterday and they did not and have not to date. They refuse to provide me with insurance contact information or someone above Lisa at Valvoline. Lisa has been nothing but rude and constantly blowing smoke and finding reasons to drag this process out instead of doing everything she can to help me. Their NEGLEGENCE AND INCOMPETENCE ruined my Audi motor and I'm the one suffering the consequences. I have filed complaint with the State's Attorney General Office and have also retained an attorney. This has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and the worst customer service experience of my life. It's a mystery to me how Lisa ever became an area manager in a customer service company and Valvoline is PATHETIC and doesn't own up to their mess ups nor do they even act like they give a d@mn. Please stay away from this business so this doesn't happen to you!!!!!!
