As I stated earlier, I wanted to use you. I called you a few times after the days that you came by. You agree that it was taking longer than expected but that it was because the Home and Garden Show exposure. You didn't call me, I call you. I called after your visit, but you didn't answer, so I left a vm and text. Later in April, I called you and you answered that time. I asked about the estimate. You said that Danae had gotten my online inquiry and that she'd get back with. I stated that I wasn't trying to rush you and was patient because I want you to do the work. I reminded you that you said, "2 to 3 days (April 14) but it wasn't until April 24 that I got a concrete answer that you will not be doing the job. My contention isn't that you can't do the job, but that I wasn't given the courtesy to tell me that you weren't interested in providing the estimate nor would be able to do the job. If I hadn't called or inquired, I would never have gotten an answer at all. How could I give you a higher rating? You only came to look at the project. I can't grade you on quality, service or promptness because I have no reference point to go by. My review isn't harsh but simply stated as it happened. Danae seems to be the person who makes the decisions on which jobs to take. Maybe a conversation she be had with her if you don't want more reviews like mine.

We built our second home with Scott Lee Homes after being in our previous home for 33 years. We did…read morelots of looking at homes in the middle of their build in order to find a contractor that did quality work. We found a Scott Lee Homes neighborhood in Zebulon - Carolina Landing - and loved all the extras they were putting in the homes as well as the price per sq. ft. We contacted Michelle Odom - the realtor - to find out more information and she was great to help us find the right floorplan for us. We LOVED the fact that Scott Lee Homes not only offers numerous floorplans - most with bedrooms available downstairs - but they also work hard to keep the neighborhood from looking like cookie cutter homes by mixing up the elevations and the color combinations. Since we placed our deposit just after the foundation was laid, we got to work with several members of the Scott Lee family, including Laura and Kyle, to decide on some of the interior design. Darin was the project manager, who consistently oversaw the work of the contractors. As we got close to the home being finished, we got to work even more closely with Darin to make sure the home was complete to our satisfaction. He was very receptive to all questions and often addressed items before we would even mention them. He was very particular during the final walk-through, which was nice to see. We did have a situation with the septic pump not working shortly after our move-in. We left messages at 11:30pm on New Years Eve concerning this. We not only got a call from the septic and electric contractors the next day (New Years Day) but we also received a call from Scott Lee who oversaw the responses. The septic contractor came out that afternoon, to verify that it was not his work, but was able to do a work around until the next day when the electrician came out to find that a rock had penetrated the wire underground and fixed it on the spot. Scott followed up to make sure everything was fixed. We understand that minor issues sometimes happen but the fact that everyone, from Michelle and Darin to Scott Lee himself, make it their mission to correct them is very much appreciated. We love our new home, and all the extras that Scott Lee Homes includes, and the opportunity to work with all these wonderful folks.
