I arrived to a full patio and a few patrons inside @ tables so I was fortunate enough to snag my preferred bar stool so I could chat up the beertender. Lucky me... after a few exchanged sentences I discovered my beertender was the owner/brewer!! As we discussed beers and styles I said: so you're Kevin? I had a can of Shut Up Kevin gifted to me a couple years ago and was told it was in reference to the brewer. As we rambled on about beers and styles, together we built my flight. Everything was wonderful and delicious! Angry Hog hits all the marks!! Delicious beer, comfortable and spacious tap room, great patio, easy parking and one rad brewer/owner who is a delight! This brewery was nowhere near me, it was a destination and totally worth the trip! I knew it was good when I headed to my other Austin destination, no parking to be found. My immediate thought was: oh well, guess I try again next Angry Hog visit.... as I am definitely coming back!! Cheers!

The brown ale and cream ale still seemed overcarbed, but they have a caramel pecan beer that is great, the coffee beer was awesome, cherry wheat was delicious and the rhubarb sour they had was fabulous. I said i wasnt a fan of such beers, but if its subtle enough... so it was added to the four pour flight of Buckthorn, Hazy Hills & Amber Buck. Surprise!! It was the victor of the four pours!! I really like the tap room; spacious and comfortable. I appreciate the open garage door to the patio. All three behind the bar were friendly and so cute in the German garb for Oktoberfest. We bellied up to the bar and ordered a flight of beer so that we could try some different styles. The beers were tasty. The two girls working the bar were great! Personable, friendly, helpful and efficient. Tuesday is free hot dog day! You get a free hot dog with the purchase of a beer. Pam helped me build my first flight. I always appreciate staff input when I'm new to a brewery and enjoy chatting them up about beer and breweries. Much thanks to Pam for amusing me w conversation since she does not drink. I was the first person in @ open but an hour later Pam was hustling!! She had three tables of people all lunching. She handled everyone like a true champ. Helpful hint: do not try to yell over to Pam, or staff from the other end of the bar if they're standing @ the south end of the bar, I couldn't hear it running but Pam would come over to me because she couldn't hear over the ice machine. Sorry. Upon glancing around I saw a $12 t-shirt rack, I din't ask if that was regular price or sale? I APPRECIATED that the shirts were: a 4X, 3X, two 2X and four smalls. Most brewery sale shirts are S or XS. I also purchased a sticker. \Molly did mention that the brewing was done downstairs where they also have a meeting room. There is an upstairs, however it's not available for use yet, it has to get up to code. I did notice they have an elevator! Service was fast, they have a nice dog friendly patio, but their food and beer was mediocre. Maybe I'm spoiled with all of the great breweries in Minneapolis, but I just didn't really like my beer! My sandwich was pretty good, and my boyfriends quinoa bowl was fine but he said it had no seasoning. All in all, probably won't go back but it wasn't a terrible experience.
