The good and the bad: The bad, it was awkward. It's not a hair salon, it's an apartment in a shady neighborhood. nothing was sanitized, and it's not a legit business. You sit on the floor for hours entertaining her kid, while she complains about having to do hair and how miserable she is. This made it very uncomfortable to sit there and know you are the cause of her discomfort. Then when I tried to reach her for maintenance and to help me fix a few that just didn't take, she cancelled our first appointment, then simply ignored my future requests. She read them, it shows that, but she chose to ignore me. I left a 40 dollar tip, it's not like she wasn't going to get paid, and now I have to hunt for someone who knows her technique to help me. You get what you pay for I guess. I had hoped to build a relationship with dread care.
The good. She is fast, the dreads that did take are cool, and she is a nice lady. If you are looking for cheap non maintenance dreads, (neglect dreads as she calls them) she is your gal, but I don't think she really wants much business. read more
