I went to Eva in hopes to get my blonde hair turned into a brown balayage. When I left the salon she curled it nicely so I was pleased, but when I got home I realized how all over the place the color was. She didn't touch the blonde in the front pieces so I have a yellow-blonde in front and then a grey-blonde on the rest. The brown is a very cool tone almost black and does not match my natural hair color like I asked(it looks a lot better on camera than in person). She was nice and said my hair was an experiment for her but when I told her I was not pleased she refused to refund me anything. She offered to fix it but since it's very inconsistent, I doubt it would be better a second time. read more

I used to be a barber in an old-world shop (complete with Penthouse Magazines, ancient, amazing chairs, straight razors, and an 82 y/o barber who was mostly blind but could still do a fantastic job). This shop made me think of those days. Sans artistic magazines and a blind barber. I walked in on a late-Friday afternoon and there were two stylists available. It worked out that Amy cut my hair and did a great job. She's very precise and thorough. I'll add she creates a very well-developed rapport with clients and has the ability to make one feel comfortable. The owner came in for a minute while I was there, I didn't personally meet him, but was told he is a barber with much experience. He also owns "Rogue Barbers" across the way--I've also had my hair cut there by Jennifer a few times and she did a great job. The owner and stylists are altruistic and oftentimes cut hair for any firefighter free of charge. We hopefully won't need so much firefighting this year, if any, but I think that's one among many good reasons to try Gillespie's or Rogue Barbers. read more

I feel so blessed to have found Eva Sue at G2 Hair Studio in Grants Pass Oregon. First off, G2 is a clean, well organised, modern salon that offers many services. By chance, Eva Sue was my stylist as I was a walk in due to a cancelled appointment from another stylist elsewhere. I am so glad I walked in that door! Eva Sue is not only a wonderful person, but a talented hairstylist as well! I travel a lot for work and it is hard to find a stylist that will listen to what I want done, offer suggestions, and execute the colour and/or cut in a timely and professional way. She made me feel comfortable and the time flew by as she coloured and cut my modified pixie exactly as we agreed... Eva did this knowing I may never get to come back. I am happy to say I will be able to come back to Eva Sue for her excellent hair services and outstanding customer service! I have to say, I've spend huge chunks of change having my hair cut in the past, and have gone home only to take a pair of scissor or a razor to it myself to get it the way I want. Being from out of town, and not having my tools to take care of my own hair I went to see Rori on the recommendation of my mom and her friends who love Rori's handiwork. I was not disappointed. Rori is a sculptor with a razor. She took my ideas - like and dislike - and went for it. I was not at all disappointed. You know how some stylists always make your hair look awesome before you leave, only the next day you can't replicate it? I had no problem making my choppy 'do look super cut after a hard night's sleep. I was so impressed, I made sure the next time I was in town from the SF Bay Area I went in for another cut. I went in to fix my raggedy mop. I called and spoke with Lisa who scheduled me in right away. She fixed my terribly grown out color line with amazing natural blonde highlights. I asked for an a-line yet was afraid to chop too much off. She tolerated my indecision and when i let her cut my hair to what she thought was best it came out better than i couldve ever wanted. I want to tell my WHOLE story. I went here 2 days ago and came out very unhappy.. Color wrong, bangs ruined.. I was in tears... Flash forward to today... The owner caught wind that I was unhappy- he called me, offered a fix at no cost. I went in today and saw Samantha. She fixed my color completely, taught me how to "hide" the botched bangs with a little twist and two hair pins. I actually LOVE my hair. I just had my hair cut by Ron, i read the good reviews that he got so I thought that he would be a good choice, boy was I wrong, it is the worst cut that I have in years and years. It's uneven in the back right in the middle and longer on either side. He cut a shelf across the back of my hair, I don't know what he was thinking - maybe he wasn't thinking at all. The shelf he cut isn't even straight it veers down to the left. He slither cut the middle of my hair in the back and didn't slither cut on either side of it. I am embarrassed to go to town now and be seen in public, I just want to cry. I don't have much hair left to get it straightened up, I just don't know what I am going to do. read more

I have been a client of Ron's (owner of the shop) for about a year. He is a great with color --- I am a red head with highlights as I spend a lot of time on stage so love the way my hair looks on video with the lights showing off my color. The good/bad news is that as a red head, I am in his salon often. His other stylists are always pleasant and their clients are very happy. Samantha gave me a great cut and style. She listened to what I wanted and did a beautiful feather cut in the longer areas like I wanted and cut it short right where I like it for spring. It usually takes me at least a week after getting a hair cut to get used to it and for my hair to calm down but this was a beautiful and workable cut right out of the gate. I live in Medford yet I have been going to Ron for the last 9 years and have never had a bad cut or dye. Ron is AMAZING at what he does. he knows how to cut my difficult hair so it looks perfect all the time even though I don't use products like hairspray. My little girl also has ringlets and Ron is the only one I will let cut her hair as well as he knows how to cut with the hair. I HIGHLY recommend Ron and his staff of stylists.
