Cannot recommend Lori and Michelle enough!…read more Temporarily moved back to Long Beach to help my mom downsize and we were overwhelmed by the amount of things, especially heavy and older antiques in our house. We were preparing to smash everything and higher a massive dumpster, which would have cost us hours and thousands of dollars. Found Lori here and she answered my call and came the next day to check everything out. We were in a gated community so it made selling more difficult, but happily took us on. While it was not a traditional estate sell, she used all of her contacts to stop by and priced everything. She made sure only trusted people came into our house, waited at the gate to make sure they were okay, and made sure to negotiate all of the prices for us. Not only is she well connected in the community, but Lori is extremely understanding. She is happy to work as quickly or as slowly as you need and so helpful with parents who are not as happy to see her coming. With my mother not being as understanding of the process, Lori was open and there with anything we needed. She accommodated the odd hours we worked and having to make sure she was not in the house during certain time periods. We tried to sell a few things on Facebook Marketplace and it was a nightmare, Lori had someone who took a bulk of our things for one price and helped to haul out trash as well. She truly has a person for everything and had no hesitation in calling them same day and getting someone out in less than an hour. Every time that I had questions about the smallest things, I received an immediate call from Lori. No matter what time of day she was always on top of it and happy to connect with you. Finding someone to work through a tough HOA community and with heavy furniture, I was super nervous that no one would take us on. I could not have been able to tackle moving my aging mother had I not had Lori and Michelle and I cannot say enough good things about the two of them. I did not meet with their team, but their deep extensive knowledge and understanding was everything.

I was almost embarrassed to show her what she had to work with and she kept reassuring me that she had seen everything and would make it work. Michelle and her team spent several days organizing and literally turned it into what resembled an antique store. It was beautiful! I could not believe how well they got everything organized. Michelle and her team were very sensitive to our needs and catered to what we asked with professionalism and compassion. In short she and her team are truly good people. My goal was not to make a ton of money but more to get items cleared out with the help of experts so that it could be a start to what I had to get done, items could go to good use and of course a little extra money is always helpful but again not my number one goal. Michelle understood this completely and delivered well. Did they sell everything? No, but that was never expected. It is important to know that estate sales will make a huge effort to sell a lot and Michelle and her team did just that. They greatly helped me and sold a lot. I found that Michelle is highly intelligent and very much honors what the client asks. She and her team reduced my stress level tremendously and I am truly grateful I found them. I TOTALLY recommend these professional experts.

I waited probably far too long to do this which did make it easier, but it was still a bit emotional and they handled everything with care and professionalism. Their communication was great. How they got through everything and set it up for the sale and advertised was great as well! And they also have the ability to clean the house out after the sale at a very competitive cost so using them for that as well!! I literally can't recommend them more! Thanks, ladies!! :)

Strong Recommendation for Phil and Downsizing Solutions…read more It's so important to hire someone who truly knows what they're doing when handling an estate sale. Unfortunately, my recent sellers chose a company on their own, and in my opinion, they were greatly taken advantage of. The experience reminded me just how exceptional Phil and his team at Downsizing Solutions are. Phil is, without question, one of the best estate sale professionals I've ever worked with. To give some perspective, the company my sellers used spent only three days going through the home, while Phil typically dedicates two to three weeks to carefully sort, organize, and price everything so each item is displayed and visible. This particular home was filled with high-end items, many brand new and countless tools and collectibles stored in every room and closet. The other company didn't set up enough display tables, leaving many valuable items unseen and underpriced. In contrast, Phil and his team use every available space, even setting up tables in the backyard if needed, ensuring that everything is visible and well-presented. Phil consistently draws large crowds, often with hundreds of people lined up before the sale even opens, and his sales generate strong returns for sellers. He also goes above and beyond after the sale, working closely with clients to organize donations and provide documentation for tax write-offs. It's difficult to see clients taken advantage of, especially when they simply didn't know the difference in quality and professionalism among estate sale companies. I did recommend Phil, but they chose someone who was personally connected to the deceased. It was a hard lesson learned, and I want to make sure others don't have the same experience. If you ever need someone reliable, professional, and truly dedicated to helping clients get the best results from an estate sale, I can only recommend Phil and Downsizing Solutions. Just wanted to share this for future reference, he's the best there is. Warm regards, Bridget Steffensen
