Do not take your machine/bike to this place for service. I recently took my 08 Polaris here to install a dual battery setup on it. I purchased the parts up front from Zach in the parts dept. I also told him my intentions for wanting 2 batteries. Once the parts arrived I scheduled the install of these parts and took my machine in. I told the guy in the service dept I was in no hurry if something urgent came in. He said I was on the schedule to be done soon. 3 weeks later, I have not heard anything, so I called and spoke with the service dept guy, to check in. He informed me there was some questions on my install and one of the techs would call me if they had more questions??? 2 more weeks go by, and this time, I just go over to the dealership and pop in. The same service guy informs me the work has not been done due to a problem with the install of the parts etc... So, I answered all their questions, and we decided on exactly where the new parts were to be installed. The service guy told me it would be installed that week, and I again, said I was in no hurry. The service guy told me he would call and let me know when they started working on my machine. 3 weeks go by, and no call???? So, I call again, and was put on hold for 10 minutes. I called back, and it rang and no answer. The main phone guy answered and informed my the service dept is currently overwhelmed with calls etc... and asked for me to call back. I call a third time, and finally got through. The service guy informed me the work had not been done, and gave a several excuses as to why it was not done. I informed him, I was on my way with my trailer to pick up my machine. Upon my arrival, I was left in the service area literally for 15 minutes while the guy went outside to retrieve my machine. Finally I see him loading it on my trailer and I noticed he left the engine running. After tying the machine down, he turned my machine off. I got my parts and left and went straight to the Polaris dealership on Beach St in Fort Worth. Went to unload the machine and the battery dead. Grapevine didn't even have the courtesy to tell me the battery was dead either. The dealership in FTW installed my kit in 1 day. Went to pick it up and the service guy asked me if I was installing a winch on my Polaris, and puzzled I said no. He then informed me the kit I provided to them from Grapevine Polaris was for a separate battery for a winch??? He also told me there are kits for 2 batteries so that you always have a fully charged battery. So they had to install a switch on my dash, and whenever I use my auxiliary lighting I have to turn on that switch to utilize both batteries. That cost me an extra $100, thank you Grapevine Polaris. So, the one star is for all the friendly staff at Grapevine Polaris, seriously, every time I went in, I was greeting almost by everyone in the store, and even the owner would say Hi, etc.... However, being nice doesn't get the work done. So, not only did my machine sit in there yard for 6 weeks until the battery died, but they sold me the wrong parts too. I think this place is more for selling new machines, then working on old ones. read more
