We called this company because we were having a problem with the electronics in our refrigerator…read more We provided make and model and we're told that it was probably the motherboard, how much that part would be, plus labour. The call was assigned to a tech who came out, but without the part. He stood in the kitchen and said the exact same thing that was said on the phone and that he would have to order the part, which was now 25% more than we were told on the phone. This guy did not "diagnose" the situation while he was here. He stood in the kitchen. He did not pull the fridge out to ensure it was indeed was the motherboard. He got zero new information. And we were charged $99.70 for that "service call." I called the company and was told the reason for the service call charge was because they told us there would be a service call charge. But there was NO SERVICE performed! I was told we had the benefit of the tech's 20 years of experience. What benefit? If he needed to confirm it was the motherboard before ordering the part, that is fair. That's a service call. But he didn't do that. He didn't discover anything, he didn't confirm anything. He ran no diagnostics. He did not observe the motherboard. He knew absolutely nothing more about the situation after coming here than he did when he arrived. He stood in the kitchen for five minutes. So what was the point of his visit?? We have lived here for over twenty years and have dealt with numerous tradespeople, yet this is my first complaint. I do NOT recommend doing business with this company.

Eventually when our fridge arrived it was damaged with a big scratch on the front and the water / ice did not work. We are still waiting on a new fridge, one month later. We tried to call the numbers provided and it was impossible to get a hold of someone. My husband had to drive to the store to be able to speak with someone, when he arrived there was only one guy there and he could not help us, he took our number and told my husband a manager would call us back. We were told by the delivery driver we would receive a call that day to start the process on getting it replaced, when my husband spoke to the manager days later they were not even aware our fridge was delivered damaged! This also happened to us 3 years ago with our stove in our old house, it came damaged. There is no one at the end of the phone to help - as returning customers we will not be using this company again and would not recommend.

The store was well stocked, clean and had friendly people working. A couple tried helping us when we didn't ask and were good finding what we wanted. They have 2 kiosks near the front with a few souvenir items but no postcards. The cashier tried ringing us up for something the person ahead of us had, and the separation bar was there. They ran after the customer to get it to them, leaving us and the rest of the line waiting for a few minutes. Great that they wanted to help them, but should have called for someone else to do that instead of leaving 10 people in line.

We went in looking for a dual oven with convection/air fry capabilities in both. There was nothing…read moreon the floor with what we were looking for so the sales associate, Tracy, showed us options online. We finally settled on an LG model as she told us it had the features we were looking for. Trail's own spec sheet also supported this statement. So, all good, arranged delivery, paid ($2500) and left happy. The unit was delivered a couple weeks later, the delivery went smoothly but, because we were replacing a gas oven we couldn't plug it in until the gas line was capped by a certified gas-fitter. They could have mentioned this in advance as Tracy knew what we were replacing. So, the guys left, we arranged for a gas-fitter, got the line capped a couple days later and finally were able to test out our new range which we soon discovered did NOT have convection options on both ovens after-all - just the bottom one. When I emailed Tracy with my concern, she responded by saying that the LG model we chose doesn't have convection in both ovens (even though she told us it did when we bought it) and attached the full owners manual as a pdf to prove it. Now of course this annoyed me as both she and the docs she showed us in-store before we bought it, said it was dual convection. That's why we bought it! If she had doubts about what she was saying then she could of reviewed the user manual before we bought it and which of course we didn't have access to until they delivered the oven. She also said if we'd used it then it wasn't returnable - luckily for us, other then testing the features we hadn't actually cooked anything. After multiple mailings, back and forth over the course of a week, we finally received confirmation they'd take it back with a 5% restocking charge which she said was a great deal as its usually 25%. Annoying we had to pay this + the delivery costs considering it was her mistake in the first place! So, they came by a few days later, picked it up and we were told, after they got it back to the store and inspected it, that we'd get our refund. After almost 3 weeks, and many emails later, we finally got our refund. Overall a painful experience with poor knowledge about Trail's products demonstrated by the sales rep, never taking any responsibility for the mistake or apologizing and essentially blaming us for selecting the wrong model. Add that to being out a few hundred dollars in delivery and restocking charges and being without a range for several weeks. In the end we found a Samsung (at Home Depot) that had the features we wanted but it was gas so we then had to pay the pipe-fitter again to uncap the line so we could hook it up. Those costs could have been avoided as well if Tracy had just told us up front they didn't have what we were looking for. We won't be going back to Trail.
