This was the perfect transition as my daughter is now almost three and is more independent- as the tots class is not a mom and me! Love the community and atmosphere. I felt that to be unprofessional seeing as every other studio my children have attended the instructor always greets the parents, tells us her name, what the class will be like, etc... I went to introduce myself to the instructor after class and she disappeared to her office. The high school aged girls that work there basically told me to buzz off and not bother her because the owner has her own child to tend to... Thank god we only signed up for a week class. The class itself was awful, not challenging for my daughter, and the studio itself was small and hot (not sure if their AC was broken or what was going on). Would not recommend

We when to Virginia Beach and won. When I got a little bit older I started to notice that she was separating the group. She was looking for a certain kind of girl, certain shape. My mom didn't believe me but I knew soon as her daughter left I was off The competitive team. She doesn't like the parents to watch the kids while they practice. So parents sit in separate area. Also when I was a kid The other parents and my mother would have him sew all the costumes. I left the team and went to a different dance company nice one more friendly one and one that excepted different size body. Any way i used to tell people I was part of the Chippendale's Dance Group, they laughed because they thought it was part of this strip group. Lol

Attended one class and it costed me 250…read more I was hoping this studio would be a good fit for my daughter but after one dance class my daughter refused to go back. I signed her up for princess dance camp and when we got there I realized it wasn't handicap accessible so I couldn't bring my mom in a wheelchair up. I also had my 5 month old with me. It was extremely hot in the waiting area and I didn't feel comfortable leaving my child with the student teachers alone because then there would have been no adult. I left and brought my mom and baby to my mom in-law because it was too hot for him and my mom was not able to come up. My daughter was the only one in a princess dress and the youngest student and with that she felt very singled out. I decided with these reasons if my daughter is refusing to go back I won't force her. We also live 40 minutes away. I attached all the payments they made me make. Around $250.00 She's only attended one class. I was made to pay $45 for her to have a spot in the fall dance class, 15$ as a holding fee And $183 for her princess camp The owner refuses to refund me anything instead refund my account of $163 that can only be used at the dance studio that I pulled her out of. I find this to be extremely greedy and really really really mean as her last words to me where "I hope your daughter finds a home dance studio" If you cared about my daughter dancing or cared about dance at all... you would do what is right.

They are very long...endless really...and as parents, we need to sit through a 3 hpur performance, of which 3 minutes features my step daighter. The remain 2 hours and 57 minutes are mainly the same kids, performing the same dance moves, in different costumes. Last year was even worse. There were two shows on the same day. Between getting her there, the breaks, lunch, and the actual dances, the day lasted over 11 hours. We were all exhausted. I know other studios separate out the older kids from the younger ones for this very reason. Whats worse, we can't take her out of there. They have a police officer that precludes parents from seeing, talking, or taking their child. Im pretty sure that's not legal. If it were up to me, I would switch studios.
