As a homeowner, it's been surprisingly hard to find contractors that meet my criteria, but Innovations Touch met them all! Although I have larger projects planned in mind, I hired them for some smaller projects to see how they'd do, especially after hearing horror stories of larger renovation projects being handled poorly. My townhouse was built in 1981 and needed some repairs. Innovations Touch installed a custom guard rail at the attic hatch, installed some new window screens, fixed the catwalk in the attic, did some window siding and wall repairs and completed some behind-the-walls plumbing work. During the whole process, they set expectations well, did a great, detailed job of the work, exceeded my expectations, was fair in price relative to the quality of the work and expediency, and even cleared up a slight miscommunication we had very professionally with no ego or attitude. I was very impressed. Given they literally met all of my criteria, I trust them completely now and it feels good to have an "I know a contractor guy" for renovations for myself and others now. I'm still building my "rolodex" for home repairs, renovations, and HVAC, but glad I'm taking one big one off my list.

I have chosen not to contact Raul Perez directly because of his treatment to me the last time we spoke. I simply would like the refund he indicated he would pay. And although in his original response to me on this site he simply reiterated most of what I wrote, he failed to address the fact that his integrity was severely damaged by not honoring his word without a fight. Again, still waiting for my refund! I visited K&R Granite several months ago. I indicated I was planning a bathroom remodel and wanted to start by choosing my new granite. I found the perfect granite and it was a remnant which would be large enough for what I needed. Raul Perez offered the square footage I needed at a $500 discount because it was a remnant. Because this was a remodel, I made sure they would be able to remove one of the granite vanities when they measured so the tile company could build a pony wall. When I scheduled the measurements and removal, only one person showed up and he only measured. While he was still at my house I called and spoke to Raul. He said there was a misunderstanding. I explained the tile company would be there and needed the granite removed. He said he couldn't get anyone there in time, but if the tile company had to remove it, he would discount the charge to me. The tile company charged $125 plus about $35 for supplies. When I contacted Raul, I indicated I would be happy with a $100 refund from him. He refused, and we argued for several minutes. He said he didn't include removal charges when he billed me. Yet, he told me previously on the phone he would deduct from the bill what the tile company charged me. I then told him I would be happy to leave a review. He left a voicemail 2 hours later and indicated he would refund the $100 and it would be available at the store. I eventually left a voicemail asking him to put the check in the mail and, if necessary, deduct the $.66 for postage from the refund amount. One week later and I still have not received my refund. I am writing this review to warn potential customers to get EVERYTHING in writing from K&R Granite so you don't have to endure the stress of dealing with a less than reputable person.

I contacted quite a few general contractors for my kitchen remodel and found this company. Serge is…read morevery responsive and gave me a detailed price quote but allowed me to customize the quote to meet my budget. He also found a cabinet manufacturer that would give me the look I wanted but within my budget. He allowed me to set up some payments based on completion milestones instead of paying everything up front and he also offers credit! The kitchen is looking amazing and I was very happy and surprised at the level of customization that took mid grade manufactured cabinets to highly custom cabinets once he finished with them. My only advice is to make sure you don't skip the sit down with your GC to discuss your lay out and sign off on it so that you don't have any misunderstandings. I was very busy and missed our scheduled meeting and ended up with a wrong cabinet ordered. Luckily, it was easily switched out for the correct one. Serge also did some extra work for me that I wasn't expecting in order to make up for the brief delay, which was a nice surprise. Serge has a great person doing his carpentry work for both rough in and finish, and he took the waviest of walls and scribed the trim and crown molding so that it looks virtually perfect. I hope to use Tex-Tile Construction again in the near future and was happy to know that he has very reasonably priced subs in several other key areas. Bottom line is that Serge tries very hard to please his customers, is accommodating and he even does some of the work himself when appropriate , which you don't see much anymore.
