My family came in on a Sunday afternoon and the dining area was packed, which is obviously a good sign that the food here is delicious. The workers have great energy and are sincere. The options are endless and I had a difficult time deciding. Ultimately we opted for the Spicy Chicken Panini, Bellydancer Hoagie, Chicago Dog, grilled cheese and a side of pesto pasta salad. Everything was tasty and had its own unique flavor profile. Wish they would expand to Oahu, so I could eat this back home. Highly recommend!

3.5 stars South Maui…read moreFish Company is a food truck located in the Aloha Open Marketplace with other restaurants and shops. There is a small parking lot on the side and street parking by the library across the street. The main draw here is the poke but they also serve fish tacos and fish plates. They sell only locally-caught fish which changes daily. For poke there are only two options: traditional and spicy. We got one of each ($22 each) and I preferred the traditional as it was saltier and had more flavor. I'm used to seeing more than just two flavors but it's fine. What I didn't like was that the rice in my bowl was hard like it had been out for a while. The other bowl was fine so I'm not sure what happened there. $46 total for two bowls seems like a higher price than normal for sushi, and the spicy one was just okay. Note that there is a 3% charge for using card.

We grabbed two personal-sized thin crust pizzas for $35 total, which honestly felt like a steal for Maui. The crust was that perfect balance: crispy, light, not floppy, not cardboard. Just solid, legit thin crust that actually tastes like pizza and not regret. What made it even better? The cook was doing everything, making the pizzas, running the register, talking with customers, and still somehow keeping it smooth and friendly. Super personable, super efficient, no chaos energy. You can tell they care about what they're putting out. Some of the best thin crust pizza I've had in a long time. Zero hesitation. I'd absolutely go back

Hiram, Jordan, BRAVO!…read more My family (8 of us, with all very different tastes) have unanimously agreed that Hiram created for us one of the greatest meals each of us have ever eaten. The food however was not the only high point - Honu Cuisine is a package. It's Hiram's incredible ability to source the best and freshest ingredients, use his customer's menu choices to perfectly match those ingredients, and create a beautiful, artistic, and incredibly tasty meal. It's also about Hiram's carefully chosen "front of house" assistant. That's right, he comes with a partner. In our case we feel very lucky and honored for that front of house to be Jordan. He is a long-time resident of the island, a fruit and vegetable farmer, and an incredibly knowledgeable foodie and Maui host. Separately Hiram and Jordan would be spectacular, together they are magical. The meal was entertaining, stimulating, and delicious. Hiram brought everything from cookware to serving dishes along with his incredible ingredients, Jordan brought fresh flowers and entertainment. This meal is worth every penny - please make the best decision you'll make while in Maui - have Hiram cook for you! Ryan & Genvieve Schmidt, the Adams and the Brewers, Aloha.
