He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! The business owner sent me a contract and to confirm the date, I paid a deposit. The day of the party, 2 super friendly young women arrived with party equipment they set up then asked for my permission to begin. They had the children play so many games right after each other including ones with a parachute and a toilet paper blower (yay!) that my kids slept like logs that evening. They also sculpted balloon animals for each child and provided T-shirts for the celebrants. A lot of the guests said it was the best party ever. Throughout my experience, I was repeatedly given assurances that things would be taken care of, only to be met with excuses, delays, and more empty promises. Trust and honesty are the foundation of any successful business, and unfortunately, both were lacking in my experience. The owner seems more interested in telling customers what they want to hear than actually delivering on those commitments. What makes this especially frustrating is the lack of accountability. We agreed on delivery for Saturday between 8 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Our party began at 4:00 p.m., so we didn't see any type of urgency. Delivery arrived at approximately 1:45 p.m....45 minutes late from the latest possible time. I must say the two employees who showed up to set up the equipment were complete gentlemen and hard workers. I could sense their frustration that they were tired and overworked. We were their last stop of the day. Our order ended up being 4 rectangular tables with 4 round table cloths. Think about that for a second...it didn't work. Since we were the last stop of the day for the workers, everything we had ordered was gone from the truck. The workers busted their butt and safely and securely put up the tent. We were told they would come back on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. to pick up the equipment. They came back on Monday at 2:00 pm. Same gentlemen who installed took it away. I give 5 stars to the workers but 2 stars for the overall experience.
