The park is easy to maneuver the rig around the turns, even if the toad is still attached. We were concerned about the freeway noise but it was never an issue. The park is so clean and inviting. We will definitely return! Be sure to visit Tirrito Farm Vineyards. They have a great charcuterie board and lunch. If you are up to driving about 45 minutes further visit the sandhill cranes at Whitewater Draw in early morning or late afternoon to see hundreds of the cranes as they feed at the wetlands.

I was a little surprised they didn't do anything to make up for it but honestly the rest of the stay there was really nice. The are strict on shutting down the pool and hot tub at 8 pm sharp! The restaurant while a bit high especially on drinks was so good! The things in the KOA store were a little higher than Walmart but most are. The internet was around 75Mb/30Mb and extremely stable even at the back side of the park. On our stay the next time on the way back the young girl got us a little better spot closer to the laundry and showers for our trouble the first time with the water. I would highly recommend this spot if you need a KOA for an RV.

We could call him anytime if we were concerned about anything. I don't feel secure anymore. I am an elderly woman, alone and unable to get out or around very easily. Only notification of new mgmt was a note that my daughter found on the ground. It did't mention getting rid of security or handyman. I found out about security when I called him to warn him of something. He told me that he and the handyman, who was very helpful, had been discontinued. I would have rated the park 5 stars before, but not anymore and am very unhappy with the decision to get rid of security and handyman.

Very weird short hours posted (8AM to 7:30PM) that the rec room is open. The unlocked door still needs a password to enter. When locked, a double deadbolt keeps people out...Why not open up much earlier for the guests' convenience? So I asked the management and they said they would tell the maintenance crew to open up at 6AM as we were staying for the week. This never happened and the room was opened at 8AM. I then told the manager about the statement she made the day before. Her answer was, Oh he opens it when he wants. That stinks!! Sorry we cannot stay at Thunderbird next time. Their rules and lame management are not customer oriented.

Compared to parks statewide, this one is about average. It has a swimming pool, recreation hall…read more(mostly a large meeting room) and laundromat. Facilities sometimes close prior to scheduled times if they're not being used. Facilities, streets, etc. are are maintained to an acceptable level. It is important to note that this is one of only two decent MHP's in the area (the other is Lexington Pines). The rest are stereotypical trailer park dumps.

The hook-ups are well-maintained and the sites are all back-in, but the paved streets are wide and easy to navigate. We paid $135 for a week of quiet, peaceful bliss while enjoying clear views of Mount Lemmon and the San Pedro River Valley flanked by the Galiuro Mountains. There's plenty to do and see in this area if you visit their website. We plan to come back and stay here again.

With the new casino right down the road it's a perfect location! The new owners have been tirelessly working to make this the premier park in AZ. I had a storage unit for 7 years. NEVER had a problem until the new owners came in about 10 months…read moreago. I was on auto-pay thru my bank, sent the 3rd of every month. The new owners changed up to "due on" day to make our automatic bank payments become "past due" and subject to a $50.00 fine on the 3rd, because it was a weekend and the bank paid the next business day. They then kept applying my payments to the past due, making past due penalties. It's an old con game some dishonorable businesses due. THEN they illegally cut off my lock, and sent me a email saying I have to get a lock (I live in another State). When my wife (understandably) got upset with their illegally entering my unit and was going to leave the unit open to whoever wanted to steal our stuff, they refuse now to answer the phone!!! My advise: STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LOVE DRAMA!
