I went to a dentist that would not extract the tooth but instead set up an appointment with an oral surgeon, which sounded costly and unnecessary - not to mention the soonest I could see him was 2 weeks! So we made some calls and got a hold of Agave Dentistry and they were able to see me in the same day! Dr. Davis and his assistant were so thorough in explaining the procedure that I felt very calm. To make a long story short, I thought I would be in a lot of pain so he wrote me a subscription, but I never needed it because the procedure was so successful. I highly recommend anyone to go to Agave Dentistry. I had my initial exam, etc., then discussed with the doctor my level of commitment, commensurate with my insurance coverage. During the course of continually having the temporary crowns replaced, an opportunity arose where I could facilitate obtaining the permanent crowns. Unfortunately, the kind doctor never conveyed my insurance limitations to his billing manager. Therefore, I was charged $7,000 through my insurance provider, then charged an additional $2,500 as an "out-of-pocket" expense. My friends and neighbors have also noticed billing anomalies. When they challenged the accountant about the issue, they were phoned by the dentist and assured that their "overpayment" would be accordingly refunded. Thankfully, the money was returned. They then received a letter from Agave Dental to the tune of "we no longer want to have a client-patient relationship with you". I advise any readers hereof to be especially vigilant with their dealings with Agave Dental.

I was able to return the following day for part one of that deep cleaning without fear and trepidation. Tony was awesome and got the job done with no needles in my mouth and very little pain or discomfort. I sincerely appreciate how the staff accomodated me. After suffering from Lingual Nerve Damage over a decade ago, I was so deadset against any deep cleaning and hadn't allowed any dentist to even suggest it since. Dr Jones explained the way the rules and regulations trickle down and how insurance companies view procedures. He did so in simple language that I could understand and then suggested the topical anesthetic over a needle injection for the deep clean. I can't express how much that negated the fear in my mind. I even got to fill out my patient history forms prior to my appointment. Upon arrival, the front desk receptionist greeted me with a smile and checked me in. The lobby had lots of seating, WiFi, and a movie playing. A lady called me into the office where she first took x-rays of my teeth. You could tell they took hygiene and disinfecting seriously. We then entered her office where we spoke more about what issues and treatment I was seeking. One of the doctor's (family ran and owned which I love!) then came into the room and examined my teeth. He further explained the different types of treatments, gave me a time estimate, and advised on Invisalign. There were some insurance kinks that all the workers ensured got situated. After my insurance got cleared, I paid for my future treatment, they took before pictures, and scheduled my follow up appointment! Love this office!

I know dentistry as my mother did dental hygiene for 45 years and I was an assistant 30 years ago. That being said I had beautiful teeth but due to an illness my teeth literally were breaking daily starting 5 years ago. I was scared and embarrassed I thought I would never need dentures. It took me over a year to go in but I finally got the courage this September. Trying to make this review not so long, I had my initial appointment and the dentist I saw had the personality of a mop. I felt rushed with questions, he was rude and frankly made me more worried about everything instead of feeling more relaxed. My next appt was Oct 4 with the surgeon to remove 15 teeth! And do bone graphs so the dentures would fit right cause the dentist I saw in September says if I didn't get bone graphs my bottom dentures wouldn't fit right and would move when I talked, ate etc. That freaked me out so I said I wanted the bone graphs. That same dentist said it would take only 2 days to get the temporary dentures so I wouldn't I wouldn't look toothless which embarrassed me terribly. I cried and said I was scared and so embarrassed of that. The day of surgery was the first time meeting the surgeon and he did the surgery while I was under anesthesia. It seemed to go well considering. I had a lot of swelling, bruising, black eyes and pain but it wasn't that bad. Nobody from the office called at all to see how I was like I was taught in dental school, like other offices do. They didn't care at all. I couldn't even get in to see the surgeon again for him to look at everything until Nov 15, over a month later. I still have not received my temp dentures and nobody had any info. I finally tracked down the office mng who is there only once a week! She promised it would be done within 2 weeks by the best lab they used. The girl there told me the reason the temp dentures weren't ready was the info was never even sent to the lab in September to get done! Back to the 15 of Nov, today is Dec 11 and still nothing , no temp teeth or permanent for that matter and I can't reach anyone! And to make it even worse the bone graphs weren't done that we paid out of pocket for and still have not been reimbursed. I have missed my sister's funeral in California along with other plans I couldn't go to cause of being so depressed over how I looked etc. Í hope you've read this review and don't take your chance at this office. When I was in dental school we would joke about Western dental and were told not to ever work there or go there but I thought after 30 years it changed plus my insurance, Medicare, had them listed for casa grande. Please don't take a chance here, if your getting serious work done like me go to a real dental office that care about their patients! Sorry this was so long but felt the need to warn people. They are always behind, never run on time and do not care at all about your personal schedule. Our…read morerecent appointment we were the first of the day, first to arrive and still the LAST to be taken back after two other families walked in after we had already fully checked in. Even if you are the first appointment of the day be prepared for them to triple book it so you don't even end up being the first appointment nor taken back on time. Every time we go we are waiting for no less than 30 minutes sometimes even longer in the LOBBY plus another half hour every time before the dentist comes in the room. The dentist himself is kind and friendly and explains everything well however they need to care more about their schedule times and honor the times they book and stop double/triple booking especially when their is only one dentist in the office.
