The dentist and supporting assistants are friendly and engaging. The problem with this facility is that there is little to no communication between the doctor and the accounting department. I had my initial exam, etc., then discussed with the doctor my level of commitment, commensurate with my insurance coverage. During the course of continually having the temporary crowns replaced, an opportunity arose where I could facilitate obtaining the permanent crowns. Unfortunately, the kind doctor never conveyed my insurance limitations to his billing manager. Therefore, I was charged $7,000 through my insurance provider, then charged an additional $2,500 as an "out-of-pocket" expense. My friends and neighbors have also noticed billing anomalies. When they challenged the accountant about the issue, they were phoned by the dentist and assured that their "overpayment" would be accordingly refunded. Thankfully, the money was returned. They then received a letter from Agave Dental to the tune of "we no longer want to have a client-patient relationship with you". I advise any readers hereof to be especially vigilant with their dealings with Agave Dental. read more

They called me this morning and asked if I could come in earlier and I said no, they said that was fine, nothing else. So I came into my original scheduled appointment time and was told they couldn't serve me because they tried telling me they couldn't do a cleaning today (that was never mentioned on the phone call). They don't deserve 1 star. It is a shame Dr. Davis and his staff don't have the best interest of long term patients at the forefront. Dr. Davis was rude and definitely unprofessional. He even made a comment about me possibly giving him bad referrals/reviews. Too many other dentists to pick from in the area. I have been going to Agave Dentistry since 2008. I have a very small mouth, narrow palate, and strong gag reflex. Going to the dentist had always been traumatic before I found Dr. Tyson Davis. I've always been treated by all staff with respect and compassion about my challenges. Today I came in because I thought that I had an abscess on my gums, but it turns that it's only a canker sore. I hadn't had one of those since I was a teenager, I'm in my 50s, so I had no idea. No one made fun of me, which surprised me. I couldn't be happier with my treatment here. read more

I'd just like to say a few words about what a great experience I've had at Agave . I was not the best person at taking care of my teeth , and in my retirement it became necessary to have a full set of dentures. Dr. Davis was very helpful and never made me feel guilty at the mess I had him deal with. I had not seen a Dentist for over 20 years. Now that I've had my new store bought teeth installed and had a few follow up visits, and I still feel like an important person when I do need to stop in for a minor adjustment . This was the best dental experience of my life! I had a wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted and I was in a lot of pain. I was also six months pregnant so I was very nervous. I went to a dentist that would not extract the tooth but instead set up an appointment with an oral surgeon, which sounded costly and unnecessary - not to mention the soonest I could see him was 2 weeks! So we made some calls and got a hold of Agave Dentistry and they were able to see me in the same day! Dr. Davis and his assistant were so thorough in explaining the procedure that I felt very calm. To make a long story short, I thought I would be in a lot of pain so he wrote me a subscription, but I never needed it because the procedure was so successful. I highly recommend anyone to go to Agave Dentistry. Broke a molar on a bag of popcorn & looked on YELP for a dentist. Looked at the reviews & called. Got in 2 days later with a treatment plan for a crown. Very nice office with very friendly staff. Every visit has been positive starting with the front desk staff to the dental assistants to the dentist. Dr Davis takes the necessary time to thoroughly explain each procedure and what the costs are up front. The office is immaculate and inviting. I was physically assaulted when I refused to have my blood pressure taken. The owner held me down in the examination chair and would not let me leave. He told me that I was going to listen to his rational for requiring me to have my blood pressure taken. I broke free and he pursued me to the check out window and I told him that if he touched me again I would call the police. Davis then told me to leave and never come back. I did call the Casa Grande police and lodged a complaint. Something is dreadfully wrong!!! Heads Up! Just got a threat from Davis that he would sue if I did not take down the review on Google. His call started off with an apology and then proceeded with the buts - an apology is not an apology if it has is then qualified with a series of buts. I hung up on the guy. He then called with his threat of legal action and I have that on voicemail. read more

I took my 2.5-year old son to Dr. Davis for his first dental appointment. My son is unusually afraid of the root canal scene in "Finding Nemo", so I thought his first experience at a dentist's office may end up being traumatic. Not so. Dr. Davis was exceptional with him.
