You will have a hard time finding a Vet as compassionate as Greta Charmichael at Two Rivers Vet…read moreClinic. For years, we have trusted her with our most precious friends - from foundlings to the final rest. Her knowledge and honesty is amazing. She doesn't hesitate to give us the "hard facts" so we know what to expect. She has saved the lives of our pets many times and she has told us when the time has come. She cries with us and a bit of her heart breaks with us.

I got there 5 minutes early, my father always said if you're on time you're late, and saw the door read closed and the times said they didn't open until 8am. Confused, I knocked on the door. The bitch Gretta opened the door and rudely asked what I wanted. I said I had an appointment at 7:30 and she said that I had to wait outside for the 5 minutes bc she didn't have ANY staff there. It was 5 minutes before she was supposed to open and her staff still wasn't there. I told her that it wasn't fair that I, 8 months pregnant, had to wait outside. So she told me I could just leave. She was short and rude. Not understanding of the situation and her staff clearly is incapable of showing up to work on time. She treated me like shit so I can only imagine what she would do to an animal. Seriously go to any other vet but her.

We were quoted an office fee plus a $200 call out. We gave all the information about our dog. Dr Martin said he would see her but did not think the 10 hours until they opened in the morning would be crucial, and would save $200. That was a long night of worry. We showed up the next morning for our appointment. Our Frenchie was given an exam. The vet was very informed about the breed. After an extensive exam, he confirmed his diagnosis gave her a pill, recommended a change in her food and sent us on our way. The relief we had after the visit was overwhelming. We stayed an extra night in town, just to be sure the dog was ok, and rested before driving home. Today the dog is back to normal. The emergency call, preliminary diagnosis over the phone, and final visit were all professional and informative.

If he see's something is not necessary he won't suggest it.He's had our dog since he was a puppy. Our dog is an Alaskan Malamute now 16 Dr. Martin was closed so went to another vet cause he was having trouble breathing they wanted to sedate him and X-ray. We decided to wait for Dr. Martin. He looked at us and said he could have cancer but what could we do- he's too old to be operated on and too old to even sedate without worrying he wouldn't wake up. He said "the dogs happy, he goes on walks, he has a family who takes good care of him, lets just make him comfortable." Love that it was so truthful and matter of fact and not out to get our money from vulnerability.
