He specifically told me that he or Savannah would be contacting me by Weds to continue the sales process. I had not heard from them. So, I called Thursday. Carl became very rude and told me that he said he told me he'd call when he was ready (which was not the case). I was the one who had to apologize, even though it was he who had misinformed me. I waited 2 weeks! Finally, he sent me a very brief text, saying he changed his mind about selling his horse to a youth (my teen daughter). No apologies. No courtesy of telling me over the phone personally. I texted him explaining that we had already passed on another great horse since I had paid him a deposit. I asked him to reconsider since my daughter & I had spent a long time making preparations for this horse. He responded that he didn't process my credit card payment on that day like he told me he was going to. Still no apologies for misleading me. I am upset that Carl would behave so rudely, dishonorably & deceptively, particularly when there is a youth involved. So, my teen got a lesson on "the cruel world" out there thanks to Carl.

Our accommodation in the "Bridal Suite" was immaculate and so comfortable. Our hosts, Luis and Kristine, surprised us with a fresh organic breakfast every morning, along with piping hot coffee and tea. We relaxed and enjoyed walking the property and seeing the beautiful horses in their pasture. One morning wild turkeys ran past our door and I managed to get some great photos. Unfortunately, due to the nearby fires there was heavy smoke everywhere. The owners realized it would be unbearable to stay there and offered us a bridal suite at their recently purchased ranch which is 15 minutes away. After a few rural roads we came upon their place... OMG what a ranch! It was how one would imagine a ranch to be... white fenced sections, horses, wildlife, stables, lots of well-kept acreage with many large shady trees also many apple trees. A beautiful huge main house to one side, the bridal suite across the driveway very privately surrounded by beautiful lawns and trees with lots of shade. One of the family members took us on a tour around the 21 acres and as the ranch name suggests, they have a huge red barn along with stables, corrals, ponds, more B&B suites, just amazing! It had a perfect reception hall that opens to a vast lawn, this with a complete bar, bandstand; this is a perfect place for a wedding. The entire place was super clean and well kept. Our mornings were very relaxing... peacefully quiet but for the soothing soft breeze through the trees. Breakfast on our private patio was a treat and did I mention the delicious coffee? Luis and Kristine along with their wonderful family were so welcoming and are the warmest of hosts, one and all. We really enjoyed their company. This ranch is a perfect place for a wedding, family reunion, retreat or whatever! We look forward to coming back very soon. We loved it and you will too!

They have a convenient outdoor grill where we made all of our meals and they have plenty of cooking resources to help guests feel like they have an equipped kitchen for their food preparation. The blankets and linens on the bed were incredibly comfortable and provided us with excellent rest. The experience strikes the right balance between camping and enjoying the ranch lifestyle. The public part of their barn is open 24/7 with WiFi and they have a cute store inside selling a variety of provisions as well as clothing and fun gift items like tiny felt alpacas. You can buy fresh beef and pork grown by their neighbors' farms directly from them which is a cool unique perk of staying at the ranch. We enjoyed getting to interact with all the different animals they have on the ranch consisting of alpacas, goats, cows, bulls, horses, and dogs. The most incredible experience we had was doing the horse heart event with Merrill. She guided us through interacting with the horses in an emotional and intimate way that was unforgettable. We then learned how to groom and take care of the horses then got to ride the same horses we bonded with the following morning for a breathtaking morning horse ride. Last but not least, you can't beat the view of the stars at night, it's as clearest a sky out there as you could ever hope for. We are so grateful to have found this place and can't wait to come back!!

While I was there I saw a horse pen with 6 horses in it, with only one small shelter from the snow and cold, yet, none of the horses had winter coat's on. They were standing in muddy ice and also there was a little white goat in the same pen. It seemed odd and dangerous to all of us. There was a lot of trash and junk around the entire horse barn, there was also two little ponies standing on ice with only a small tarp above them for shelter. this place does not look like the pictures I saw on the their website and the animals look destressed
