I've tried Surface Creek and Dorr clinic. surface creek gets the job done but my dog doesn't like going there whereas Dorr clinic just plain sucks. I took my dog to Dorr for an impacted anal gland and he stuck his finger up my dog's rectum and immediately said it was a tumor and needed surgery right away. I had tried to express his gland the day before and got a little discharge but not what should have came out so I new it was probably impacted and when they get impacted they get inflamed also, tumors don't grow that fast overnight, so I went to Dr. Natalie and she examined him put him on antibiotics and anti- inflammatory medication. I took him back a week later for a follow up, the swelling was down. Also the staffing was awesome, when I first took him in he was very hesitant but when we left I had to drag him out. I wish I could give ten stars.

Being a good pet owner involves vet care but so many people think that should be inexpensive. I have had 3 dogs cared for by these ladies over the last 4 years. Routine visits, dental work, cancer diagnosis and treatment, euthanasia, and just last week - an EMERGENCY visit when our dog was bitten badly by a German Shepherd. Exam, wound care, anesthesia, surgery, medications for 530$! Half of what it would cost on the Front Range or anywhere else in the country. I have always appreciated the courtesy and skill of the entire staff.

Maybe you have good insurance that will cover the whiplash you'll surely get if you're lucky enough to experience both his sides. My first phone call with Ted couldn't have gone better. He was friendly, easy to talk to, clearly communicated the important details about doing business with him, and his voice was full of joy when talking about his experiences with dogs at his place. I ended the conversation sure that I had found the absolute best place for my dog to stay while traveling. My second phone call a few days later was exactly the opposite. I called to ask three simple questions, questions that all the other kennels I've called answered with no problem. (For those curious, the questions were about how to modify my reservation on the antiquated reservation system and two follow up questions from our previous conversation about what to bring with my dog.) I've never experienced such unprofessional behavior. Interrupting, talking over me, insisting I was saying things that I was not, threatening to cancel my reservation if I didn't stop "being a problem". Needless to say I will never be boarding my dog here. Ted, do you have an evil twin that is trying to ruin your business?

I found all of that with Ted and am SO pleased that we sent our Vizsla, Gable there for a month of training. From the first moment we met Ted (over the phone as he answered our many questions) we knew he was a professional and most importantly, cares for every dog as if they were his own. Ted sent us pictures and kept us updated about Gable's progress over the month and thoroughly walked us through how to reinforce the training when we went to pick him up. Gable is now a much calmer, responsive dog who understands that his humans are his leaders thanks to what Ted instilled in him. We will be returning to Cottonwood for boarding and would highly recommend to those with new dogs or stubborn behaviors alike!

I gave this business every opportunity to make this right before leaving a public review…read more For months, I attempted to resolve this privately and respectfully. Instead of receiving my $500 deposit back, I was met with silence, blocked on Facebook and Venmo, and left with no meaningful communication. I never signed a contract, never took possession of a puppy, and yet I am still fighting to recover my money. What should have been a simple customer service issue has now escalated to the point where I am working with local authorities and pursuing legal remedies in an effort to recover my $500. This entire experience has been exhausting and incredibly disappointing. I would strongly encourage anyone considering doing business here to protect themselves by ensuring every agreement is signed and clearly outlines what happens to your deposit before sending any money. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what I've experienced.
