    Classic comfort!

As our stay approached, I was shocked when my wife showed me an email offering a rate less than half of what we paid for our same stay. Happily after calling the resort to inquire about the discrepancy the hotel generously offered us the reduced rate and apologized for our earlier inconvenience. Having stayed at other properties in the Kennebunk Resort Collection I am now confident that our upcoming stay will be perfect.

My mom and I planned a last minute trip up to Maine and ended up being able to book a room at the Grand Hotel through the Hotel Tonight app. The price is definitely a bit high, especially this late in the season, but I would absolutely stay here again. When we arrived we got a glass of champagne which was a really nice welcome! Heated bathroom floors, friendly staff, cozy beds, giant showers, clean rooms- everything that I could've asked for. They even left a box of extra coffee, mouthwash, lotion, etc. out at the front desk in case you needed anything overnight and then sent us off with some water and candy when we checked out. Great location, quiet, calm.. My only wish is that they had a breakfast option within the hotel but luckily there are plenty of options just around the corner. We had a great stay here and would 100% recommend it to others.

If this is your first stay in Kennebunkport, this is a great place to start! Right on the Main Street, lined with shops, restaurants and charter tours, the Grand Hotel will allow you to experience this lovely town by foot. The hotel is very well appointed, and sells out quickly. The linens are beautiful as is the decor. there is a little reading nook in each of the rooms. the washrooms, although small, have good faucets and design detail, including heated floors, that makes up for the size. The rooms are too small to give it a five star rating- and since there is no dining room, packages include breakfast at David's KPT (a nice 4 minute walk) which was well-priced and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful- we enjoyed our stay- but Kennebunkport is so small and quaint, why not try out other hotels?

Beautiful hotel in Kennebunkport, Maine, walking distance from local shops and restaurants. We took advantage of a promotion and received a $25 hotel credit and 2 free drinks and any of their sister properties (within walking distance). The room was small but beautiful. I loved the heated floors in the bathroom. Very friendly staff.

    Chase Hill Suite

This hotel looked great on the website. Wish it had been as impressive in reality. We stayed in the Chase Hill Suite. It was over-priced ($400+) for a jr suite with no view and badly in need of renovation (stained carpeting throughout, wires hanging out below the TV, very noisy HVAC system). In addition, there was a $15.00/night "resort fee" which was increased to $20.00 on our bill. This was supposed to cover continental breakfast; on-site parking; WiFi; bottled water; complimentary pantry with limited snacks/toiletries; bicycles; kayaks/canoe/SUP at Kennebunkport Marina; beach towels/chairs; Kennebunk Beach parking; shuttle to/from local restaurants. The room rates should easily cover the on-site amenities and off-site amenities were either not available (shuttle service) or of no use to us in mid-October. The Grand is not even a full-service hotel. There is no on-site restaurant, and the staff leave at 7p with a phone number provided in case of emergencies. The positives were the convenient location (even without views) and the pleasant, accommodating staff. The few requests we made were handled immediately, including removing the "resort fee" from our final bill. (Evidently, that fee is a common guest complaint.) We will return to the Kennebunks, but we will find another hotel for our future visits.

Just checked in. Front desk friendly and helpful. Our room is quaint and lovely with views of the river and old town.

My wife and I stayed here for the first time in early July 2015 for one overnight stay mid week. We were greeted warmly by the person at the desk. We planned on just parking because we were there a couple of hours before check-in. We were in luck because the room was ready. We were thrilled to see our room. We thought the room was upscale and the details in the bathroom were fantastic! Room 204. We had a king-sized bed, a beautiful bathroom with heated floors and a brand new stand up shower, a small sitting area, and a small porch we could stand out on and see the river and shops in front of the hotel. The bed had great linen, comfortable pillows and the Whoopie Pie waiting on it when we arrived was delicious. We thought the room was quiet, even though other reviews I've read said they heard lots of noise from the 3rd floor, we never had any issues. Although the room was a 'Grand Petite King' room, and was small, we found we had plenty of room for our things and loved the small sitting area that was available. The room must be locked with your room key if you are out for the night, no self locking. A small fridge would have been helpful so we could have milk in the morning, but the convenient bagged ice and K Cup machine was enough for our one night stay. We will definitely be back.

There are lots of things we appreciate: clean, fresh-smelling rooms, good AC, good blackout curtains, and good water pressure in the shower. But there's more: a very friendly front desk staff who prepare chocolate chip cookies every afternoon, a free hot breakfast, pleasant-enough pool (heated just barely by our standards) and a good fitness room. There are a few things that didn't quite match up for us: the hot breakfast is a bit hit-or-miss depending on your preferences; there are very few places to eat close by; and a trip to Kennebunkport can take 15 minutes with moderate traffic. Bottom line: we like Hampton Inns, and this seems a good one, the positives definitely outweighing the negatives, and it's fairly priced for this area during the summer months.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hospitality here and the amazing service and cheerfulness of the staff. Here is the summary of our 2 day stay at the Hampton Inn. My only regret is that I should have taken more pictures 1) Ambiance 5/5: The place is well maintained with a gym and pool and great rooms. The decor is great and the place looks immaculate. Its also close to some amazing beaches. 2) Service 6/5: I have been to many places in the USA and many other Hamptons as well but this has by far been my best experience mainly due to the amazing staff. Everyone is amazing but 2 people stand out - 'Sag' as she is popularly called - has been the most amazing and happiest person in the hotel that I have ever met. Watch out early morning at breakfast and catch her amazing singing. Along with her, the gentleman who works at the front desk at Night - whose name I am missing, was an amazing help! 3) Food 5/5: The place has one of the most amazing breakfast spreads. Along with this, they even had unlimited cookies available at night for anyone with a late-night sweet craving. There are many things for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians equally. Keep an eye for freshly made scones and pastries at around 8 AM - 8.30 AM 4) Value for Money 5/5: Some people might say this place is costly but for the breakfast buffet, helpful and delightful staff and unlimited cookies, this is a steal :) 5) Amenities: a) Great gym and pool d) Free parking e) Great rooms f) Delightful staff PS: My actual rating is 6/5 for an unforgettable experience. Definitely a must-stay place at an amazing location. Must Visit for: 1) Amazing staff and their singing 2) Great breakfast spread 3) Freshly baked scones and pastries 4) Unlimited cookies at night

Well, due to liability issues, they would not allow me to borrow the knife but offered to have the chef shuck them for us (after signing a waiver!.....I hate where our country is, but totally understand!). We listened to live piano to relax us during a raining and "trafficy" day driving from down east and Acadia national park. Just one mile down the road from Walker's point (The Bush compound) I was really hoping that we might run into 'W' and Mrs. but to no avail. The room was well appointed and a corner room with beautiful views of the chanel. Picture commercial lobster boats moored at bouys as the tides rise and fall with the hours going by. A rainy day to start lead to clear skies and a beautiful bluebird sky with white puffy clouds to accent. Breakfast buffet included in the stay along with free bikes to use as guest made our stay complete. I only wish we had more time to spend here at the resort! Huge thanks for making our stay complete and fabulous!! Cheers to you all. Oh, I almost forgot, they have a shuttle that runs out to dock square every half hour. What a blessing.

We only drove to dinner one night, the rest of the stay we had quite nice meals within a block or so of the hotel. We stayed in the perkins suite on the second floor. Nice sized room. Roomy bathroom, good shower, decent counter space and several drawers. Felt clean and new, like it had been remodeled not long ago. You knew you were in an older hotel, but the room was clean and well kept. Comfortable seating in front of the TV. They've upgraded to a larger TV than shows on many pictures. It was easy to pull out from the wall and switch out the hotel cable feed for our own streaming device. Plenty of convenient outlets. Good sized fridge. Bed comfortable and room can be kept reasonably dark and cold. A small missed opportunity not having a few more pieces of furniture in the room. There was plenty of available space where they could have put a small desk for working, a bench at the foot of the bed, or a floor lamp for evening lighting. All of these would have not crowded the room and would have made the stay more pleasant. Continental breakfast provided is very basic. If you want to be in the midst of Kennebunkport action, it's a good place to stay. Our room was missing several items that I had to ask for, the bathroom sink was clogged (took 2 days before someone fixed it) housekeeping didn't make up our room after we were gone for over 6 hours. It was over 90 degrees out and with no AC our linens needed to be changed but we ended up having to sleep on those dirty sheets because they never made up the room. Mold on the shower curtain, 1 kleenex left fluffed in the empty box, ran out of pool towels for almost 2 hours, ran out of dishes at the buffet, no more linens on the tables, our silverware and glasses stuck to the table, We were booked and charged for a "Garden View" room....it should have been listed as "Standard" there was no garden it overlooked an overflow lot filled with dumpsters, tents and garbage. The screens were absolutely disgustingly dirty and because it was so hot you had to keep them open so the dirt and dead bugs flew into the room. The wicker furniture on the beautiful porch was showing significant signs of wear and needed to be either replaced or repainted. This is only a piece of what went wrong in one weekend. I am not one to leave bad reviews like this but when I tried to contact the Asst. Mngr. Leslie Sheppard 3 times by phone and John Martin, Managing Partner for Boughton Hotels with no return call or email....well that speaks volumes. They are under new management and it was made clear this past weekend that they are in it to make money at the expense of their guests. On July 3 at 6PM the lobby was filled with people who could not get into their rooms yet after checking in. There was a constant line of guests waiting to speak with the Front Desk Manager with complaints. It was a disaster of a weekend. I was told they were very busy....not sure if the 4th of July was a surprise to them or if no one saw how many guests they had at their property. "Very busy" is not an excuse for such an establishment. I did speak with both the Front Desk Manager and Assistant Manager but nothing was done, I was told "I'm sorry", that doesn't make things better! They need to realign their priorities because a happy guest brings more guests a guest who had to experience all the things we did, for the price we paid, they should at least have the courtesy to return a call or email. If they did I wouldn't be writing this horrible review.
