We waited an hour for our food. When we first sat and ordered drinks and food, there was no one there. We had plans at 8 and sat at 6:45. We were told "hey our chef stepped out but they will be back in 5 min" we said that's fine no problem! We are pretty chill and nice customers so we didn't care. After about 25 min we noticed someone else (who arrived after us) get their food and we were confused. So we went to ask but they didn't hear us and walked away. So at about 35 min after we ordered we finally grabbed a staff person and asked about our food... it never got put in... they said they would put it in now. We were frustrated but thought okay that's fine we can eat it fast and go. The lady who originally failed to put it in was nice and said she was sorry, which we appreciated. Then it took forever to get our food. We got it in take out containers at 7:55pm... we asked for a bag and utensils and they said they didn't have any... so how can we eat this??? Also when we went to checkout they didn't comp the bill at all... I'm not asking for free food and drinks, but at least a little bit off? For the food at least? We were severely inconvenienced, also couldn't even bring our food into our 8pm event plans. And it was an expensive tab! Not to mention we are in a government shutdown rn... I was ready to just let it all slide and go about our night until we finally opened our food (trying to eat it as fast as possible at 8:01 before going into our event) and then the burger looked like this... it almost looked microwaved and definitely not good or cooked thoroughly. No cheese and no dressing. We avoided eating it after a bite or two thinking we'd get sick. However, the garlic wings were really really good which is a shame. They were real chicken and super yummy and I would've been super happy with them, but the overall experience made me not wanna go back again for food.

Grand Central is another bar. It has a few greasy food options. This is like many on 18th. It has the main bar below. There's a deck that overlooks the street. It functions best as a sports bar. It should be called Party Central. That name might be taken. It seems to be a good place for watching a game. This was what most people were doing the last time. It just is a lot less hectic since people are sitting around. There's the blast of TVs instead of club music. It seems about the same as price as other bars. They have a few simple food items. Most are fried. They have a few that aren't drowning in grease or oil. A couple soft pretzels are $8 and comes with cheese or mustard. These are a pretty big size. I like coming here to see a game. It's a popular place for the Capitols. They also get some to watch the United.

This place has a bar and we got our drinks at a good time considering how busy it was. They had a Photo Booth which did cost money to use (less than $10) however the pictures came out beautifully and I have them saved for memory. They had a video recording system and we were able to record a short video and have them sent to our phone for memory. They had some arcade games in here which looked fun and neat. The place has a huge dance floor and is overall beautiful! It is located in Adams Morgan right next to literally everything (walking distance).

    Great shot lol

I have a friend in town who's not 21; can she get in if the bouncer puts X's on her hands or something? Is there a bouncer at all? Thanks for the info.

Late night there is a bouncer and they don't let anyone under 21 in.

I think they take reservations but we were able to grab a bar spot. Are drinks pricey? What do you think? It's a cocktail bar in DC. The drinks we tried were pretty tasty, even the mezcal one which I thought was a refreshing take. The wall shows some of the drinks on the menu and the ingredients/glass it comes in which I thought was a nice touch. Bartenders were friendly but not too chatty as they were super busy but you never waited long for a drink. The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. Clean, trendy bathrooms, nice vibes throughout the whole spot for pictures, great for a night cap or pre-dinner drink.

They don't take revelations and the place fills up fast. It's a very cute spot and feels so comfortable and fun. Our bartender was Gaylan and he was great--had great reccs, laughed with us a bit, all around great guy. The 'let me just say this' was so soo good! It tasted like a rainbow--just bright and with a really delicious after taste. I should have stopped at the rose but after my trying my friend's, i had to have one! We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

It's a sexy basement vinyl den with additional outdoor seating, 10/10 unique cocktails, and incredible Japanese inspired small plates. Between two visits, we have tried 6 different drinks. They are named after songs and listed on the back of a fake vinyl cover. Each costs around $20, but with the mandatory tip and tax, it comes to around $26-28 per drink. The since I left you, though, is worth every penny. It is similar to an old fashioned but a little sweeter, with bourbon (makers mark), and while the menu says it also has miso, blackberry, cardamom, and cacao, I wouldn't say those flavors come through. But it is one of the best cocktails being served in DC right now. It is so good. They serve it with a cardamom tuile that is delicious as well. There is a lot of variety on here, but my number 2 is the Roses, a bright red gin based drink with a hint of fruitiness and a spicy kick in the back end. If you want something a little sweeter, the Takeover is a cognac based drink with coffee notes served with a mini donut. The food is exceptionally well seasoned and so flavorful. The fried chicken cannot be missed, and I love that you can get it in half or full size portions. The shrimp tempura might be even better. You get four large pieces that are super crisp and have a little orange sauce on them. Amazing. Our second visit we tried their chips and dip, and these potato chips alone are worth a visit. Large, crunchy, and served with a tasty ranch dip. I think 2 dishes is good for two people to fill you up, but add a third if hungry. The place is quite expensive, but they are worth it. For a date night, they are a great choice. Four drinks and three dishes shared between two people came to around $195, but as of this review, they are offering a $30 off deal if you pay through the app In Kind. Bonus points because the first time we came, they seated us maybe 5 minutes after our reservation time, and they gave us a free glass of cava. Top notch customer service right there

This bar is sweet -- awesome music, a neat menu, truly craft cocktails, and a unique menu. We tried several cocktails and each was delicious - from spicy to sweet, they don't miss. We also tried the cheese burger egg rolls and the tuna hand roll. The food is expensive for what you get but it's advertised to be small bites, not a meal. The egg rolls felt like remixed in n out, and as a Californian, I was grateful. Why not 5 stars? With the premium pricetag, I do expect premium service. The bartender was more interested in chatting with some folks he knew who came to sit at the bar. He also spent a lot of time chatting up the couple next to us, so do sit at the bar if you're feeling social. However, for the spare attention he did provide us, he was a bit condescending when we asked for a different glass for a drink that came in a bowl. It was slow until the very end of our stay and yet there were several times where I had an empty glass for a long period (and wanted to order more) or needed water. FYI for 6 drinks and a few bar bites it was $165... we went for a cheap burger dinner afterwards!
