Pepperoni Sausage pizza

Best pizza anywhere near Waterville. Super cool brick oven. Nice people. Freaking delicious.

Very cute hipster pizza joint. We stopped in on a long drive through Maine on our way to New Hampshire. We all created our own pizzas, and they hit the spot. We received very attentive service. Definitely recommend them if you are in the area.

Slim pizza

This place has the best thin crust pizza in central Maine. My favorite is the "Slim" which is loaded with lots of fresh veggies. My fiancé loves the "Pepperoni Express" which has pepperoni galore. I appreciate their menu of vegetarian options since I'm trying to eliminate most meats from my diet. Their carrot cake is amazing. I could eat the entire cake. The bummer is that they're not open every day of the week.

Their brick oven pizza is molte bene. Grand Central Cafe is a hidden gem. The venue is about as unpretentious as it gets and the food is so good. What's more they've got a perfect selection of Maine beers and ales on tap and in the can. Situated next to The Railroad Cinema makes the GCC the perfect place for a bite to eat after watching some cinema at one of Maine's coolest art theaters, which are a dying breed.

Pizza to die for!!

My husband and I have been on a great quest to find GOOD pizza in Maine. While pizza is a staple of the American diet, it seems there are very FEW people who know how to make it well. We found some in Belfast and Ellsworth, but exceedingly far. So I saw the good reviews here and we decided to give it a shot. We were encouraged by the bread dish and dipping oil brought to us by our server. It was good. We felt like the pizza might not disappoint. Our server was a young lady who was very pleasant. My husband ordered a half salad and I ordered the cup of chili because I was as hangry as a bear and thought the pizza would take a while. The salad looked fresh and the chili was generously served with chips. It was a vegetarian chili but still tasted quite good and filling. There is corn in the chili which I am not a fan of, but that's just my personal taste. Well the pizza arrived FAST. And let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC!! In my view good pizza, really good pizza, masters two things-crust and sauce...this pizza, to my surprise, totally DID! YAY! The sauce is hearty and rich, like your Italian grandmother made it. The crust is that old world tasty yet soft and luscious texture that all us true pizza lovers crave. Just spectacular! I was very pleased with the food. They made a mistake on my order and gave me pepperoni instead of red onion-not a pepperoni fan I picked it all off, and probably was missing my onions, but it was so good that all in all I really didn't care all that much. I decided to try the carrot cake..it was also quite good and tasted home made. I was not disappointed there either-although I couldn't eat it all just because my meal was so filling. Overall I was very pleased to have found a truly delicious pizza in the heart of Waterville. The only disappointment I had, which accounts for a docked star is the seating. We has to sit at a small table in the middle of the room, which I HATE. It would be nice if they had booths or tables that were more for quiet people.

Grand Bread w/olive oil and herb dipping cups

Ordered delivery through door dash. Food was great, hot when it got here. I got the pepperoni w half pineapple pizza and then they're bread w some olive oil herb mixture for dipping; both were delicious. I will be ordering again in the future!

Brick oven pizza! What's not to like? (Except there is no draft beer.)

We knew we'd be hiking all day (and had a heavy dinner planned) so we stopped at Earth and Flow to pick up some lighter bites. This was around 10am on a Thursday, and we were the only customers. It took about 45 minutes to get our food (no other customers ever came in; it didn't appear they were making any to-go orders). There were two employees that day, one who was making our order and one who was on her phone. We got: 1. Tara's Peanut Butter Heaven smoothie (banana, peanut butter, chocolate, almond milk) and the Tropical Storm smoothie (mango, pineapple, strawberry, orange juice, coconut milk, almond milk): I don't know how this is possible - maybe they were made in the same blender? - but these tasted identical. They were also liquidy. Personally, I prefer my smoothies so thick it's hard to suck through a straw. 2. the Thai wrap (almond-ginger pate, lettuce, mango, red pepper, cabbage, basil, mint, cilantro, ginger almond dipping sauce): this was okay - there was *a lot* of mint stems - but the ginger almond dipping sauce tasted purely of soy sauce - way, way too salty for me. 3. the Sun Tuna wrap (tuna salad made from sunflower seeds, not fish, combined with lemon, Bragg's amino acids, celery, pickles, and romaine lettuce): my favorite of the three! Such a unique take on a vegan tuna, but the celery was literally long uncut stalks. 4. the Sante Fe wrap (cashews, lemon, parsley, cayenne pepper, vegan mayonnaise, black beans and avocado): my partner's favorite of the three, but I found it bland, also there was no avocado and LOTS of romaine... which isn't an ingredient in this wrap. ^ I appreciated that all three wraps came on a bed of lettuce, because the wrap itself was *so* stiff and gummy in texture that we ended up dumping the interior onto the greens and eating it salad style. 5. Earthy Delights (4 Medjool dates stuffed with almond butter, cardamom, and ginger): the BEST thing we got were these stuffed dates. The combination of the rich almond butter, earthy cardamom, and spicy ginger were unlike anything I've had in recent memory. Do not miss out on these! For me, this missed the mark. But it's fantastic that an option like this exists in Rockland.

Very sweet owners and super thoughtful with their menu. The banh mi toast was my favorite. The chickpea wrap was delicious also. The store is small, but there's a lot going on here! There were vegan meats and cheese and snacks and beverages for sale from brands I haven't heard of before (and that's a rarity for me now!), as well as a unique variety of things from brands I know very, very well (but had no idea they made _______ [fill in the blank]). For sure, BRING A COOLER. There's going to be so many things you want to bring home and try! The café itself offers a curated selection of baked goods, sandwiches, and open-faced toasts. I found the many baked goods we tried a bit dry for my personal liking; also, I'd recommend any of the sandwiches over any of the toasts (while I haven't tried them, they look more much more substantial in both size and portion of fillings/ingredients for what you're paying). The toasts are very, very small. The toppings, while flavorful and fresh, are also very, very minimal. Aesthetically speaking, they're absolutely Instagram-worthy! But for one thin slice per order, it's currently $9 to $16 (depending on which one you get); after a long wait for them to come out, we were just taken aback at how little food there actually was. Eating outside on their quiet, intimate patio overlooking the water in such beautiful minimalist-chic decor is an absolute vibe. I could see someone having an elevated rehearsal dinner or a sophisticated birthday here.

Miso soup was delicious and hearty - just what you need on a cold day outside. Both, noodles and fried rice were great. Btw their spice levels are catered to North American taste buds, so if you're an Asian just tell them highest spice levels and you'll probably still feel like moderate. Having said that, great flavours. The staff was nice and friendly. I used the restroom and they were clean and well maintained. Definitely recommended.

It is a tragedy that I was only planning to visit Portland for less than a day, so I didn't have the opportunity to dine in at the Green Elephant. However I would contemplate driving up from Boston just to have their Singapore noodles again. It was so flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to the perfect texture. The level 2 spice in the online ordering menu was not spicy at all, but the food still had a good amount of sauce and flavor. The dish was definitely heavy on the noodles and probably only had 4-5 bite-sized pieces of tofu for protein, but the noodles certainly were my favorite part. And for only about $15-20 per main dish, this is one of the more accessible/affordable restaurants for vegan options in Portland!
