Pretty good food! They have a great selection, seafood was great, and the food was always hot. Only downside is not offering rice at the hibachi area, you have to get rice from the buffet. Servers were very polite and quick, didn't have to ask for the bill and always brought it out at the appropriate time. Empty plates get taken away quickly too. The seating was okay, quite often you're sat next to someone else rather than alone which can be bad when they have children screaming right behind you, but I can't fault the restaurant for this entirely. read more

I came here on a weeknight because there really aren't many Chinese buffets left in the area, and this was the closest one with a 4-star rating on Google. We arrived around 7:00 PM and were seated immediately, which was a nice start. The first thing I noticed, though, was that many of the tongs and serving spoons at the buffet were sticky. It was pretty gross and definitely didn't make a great first impression. I tried a little bit of everything, and overall the food was just...okay. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't anything special. The lo mein had a strange flavor that wasn't what I'm used to from Chinese restaurants. The Alfredo sauce on the mussels was an odd choice and didn't work for me. The stuffed mushrooms seemed to be mostly breading with a little cheese. The calamari was probably the best thing I ate all night. The dessert selection was disappointing. They have a freezer with individually packaged "ice cream" cups, but it's really more of a frozen dairy dessert than actual ice cream. The texture and flavor weren't good, and after looking at the ingredients (nonfat milk, corn syrup, and whey protein), it made sense why. I honestly think an actual soft-serve ice cream machine would improve the dessert experience quite a bit. Other dessert options included cookies, Nutty Buddy bars, and a strange mint mousse/fluff in little cups that looked pretty unappealing. We skipped the hibachi, so I can't comment on that. I also wasn't impressed with the sushi--it looked like grocery store sushi that had simply been put out on the buffet. Dinner for two came to about $36, which seems pretty standard for a weeknight Chinese buffet and was a fair price. The other thing that was disappointing was there was no music playing and I think it really would've created a better ambience if there was some Chinese music playing in the background. Staff was very attentive. We were asked about refills and they also were quick to clean the dirty plates off of our table. Overall, I'd describe the experience as just "mid." Nothing was bad enough to make me upset, but nothing stood out enough to make me want to come back. If they improved the sushi, upgraded the desserts, and paid more attention to cleanliness around the buffet utensils, I think it would make a big difference. As it stands, I don't see myself returning. read more

It doesn't take much to please me when it comes to Chinese Buffets. I just want a decent variety, for the food to be at least half good, and a reasonable price. We got one out of three here. Grand Buffet is quite small and has a below average selection. The food was mostly not great (even by buffet standards). This place just seemed to miss the mark. The one positive is the prices were better than most Chinese Buffets. If you're in the area and want quick and cheap food, you might get enough bang for your buck here. Don't go out of your way. read more

The food and the service is great very polite and friendly You have multiple choices they have fruit and desserts bar as well read more

Where do I start? Squid was stone cold and rubbery. Same with the fried shrimp. My kid picked up a raw oyster from the sushi bar, and it was so stale and stunk so bad that we had to move his dirty plate that had the oyster to another table. I noticed another family that had 4 kids, and the management got all over them about how many trips they took to get food. Argument seemed to get heated. The hell with this place, I'm done. Never going back. Enthusiastically NOT RECOMMENDED. For $17.00 per person, you can get better meals elsewhere. Read my past reviews - I'm not a chronic complainer, but this place sucks read more

Been going here for years. Food is good service is great and the price is reasonable.

The food was very good, very will mix of many food cultures combined, service was excellent, waitress were very nice. The music of ancient China playing in the background makes the whole restaurant feel cultural. read more

Have been coming here for years. Plenty of selection which is replenished frequently. Like any buffet, there are a few things that I'm not into, but the things that I do like, they do very very well. Hibachi is included, there's never a wait. Could use an update inside, but that doesn't take anything away from the quality of the food. Check it out! read more

Grand buffet is in a shopping center, kind of easy to miss. The inside looks like a standard Chinese restaurant. Not many folks inside. Maybe 30 tables, about 5 tables occupied. NO ONE speaks English here. Everyone is friendly though. Employees quickly remove the soiled plates from your table. There are 3 rows of food. One cold (jello, fruit, shrimp). The 2 hot rows contain various chickens (Thai, sweet sour, general T, black pepper), only pepper beef, plain/fried rice, some shrimp dishes. Don't get the dumplings. Some appetizers are in the center of the buffet. Looks ok, but taste suspect. Soups include wonton, hot and sour, and some other one. Sushi is included in the buffet. When I asked the lady what they are, she didn't understand and said "many sushi". All have some type of meat. No vegetable ones. I ate it and didn't get sick. I saw some with crab, some with tuna, some with miscellaneous. The aforementioned warrant 2 stars. However 4 stars goes to the habachi which is included in the buffet. That made the $13 worth it. Put raw ingredients on the plate and the cook prepares it right there! I didn't notice this until I ate four plates of the other marginal buffet food. What was I thinking? This is where it's at! I will come again for the hibachi, but not for that other stuff. I think the chef can only accommodate two or three people at a time, so this is not a place to bring your 37 relatives. read more

We eat here now as a family of five (2 toddlers/baby) and only spend around $35 for lunch! The staff is also so patient and kind to the kids. The food is typical Chinese takeout with some fresh seafood and sushi options. Side hibachi service. Nothing spectacular but definitely satisfying. They also let you eat for a comfortable time without pressuring you out like some other buffets -The pans could be hotter but i suppose they're not trying to burn any food. read more

My daughter keeps dragging me out to eat here... some times we come the food is hot, fresh and tastes so good, and others not so much.. today was one of those not so great days. The food wasn't really hot, they weren't restocking with fresher foods and the food didn't taste good. Glad we came for lunch so it was cheaper, but I really need to stop coming here. The last 3 hours since eating there my stomach has been making some strange gargling sounds I've never heard before and I've been barfing up the terrible taste of the food in my throat since we ate there at 4pm today. Would not be going back... not a fan and can't keep going thinking it will be a good day. read more

Went last night. Used to go here a lot, but haven't been in a while. I was really disappointed. No crab legs. No rice noodles. No cooked veggies except mushrooms. This was supposed to be a special night with my grandson, and I was less than impressed after telling him how awesome it was. read more

Been to Grand Buffet quite a lot recently. As you have seen my previous posts, it's "Good enough" It's good enough to be a once a week type of place. I do miss the crab legs, the clams, and frog legs, but hopefully once the covid situation improves and prices return to normal, they will also include those items back again, and also lower their prices back again. read more

Sure has went downhill. Dinner menu seems to be what the lunch menu used to be. Service is what you'd expect at a buffet. Could be cleaner.

The restaurant is tattered and worn, and the floors are dirty. It needs to be cleaned and renovated. The food is lukewarm from the buffet and a lot of it seems like it's frozen food. There was a good amount of business for 145pm; I would attribute that to the relative appeal of all-you-can-eat and a relatively low price. But this was not a good experience and I left after only a few bites. read more

Ok dinner is too expensive here and the crabs, which lets be real, is the reason anyone would pay for a buffet, need to be replaced more often bc they kept running out. Everything else was awesome though. Great stuffed mushrooms. Decent sushi. Staff was very nice. I would def go back. read more

After saying you won't see me again, I stopped again. Food was good, and for the most part on a busy Saturday they were keeping the buffet filled. I usually eat the cost of the buffet in peel & eat shrimp. Anything else is a bonus. With the tip I spend just over $12, about what I would spend at fast food or a diner. Next time I am in the area & hungry, I will stop again. read more

I came here because of the good reviews and decided to give this place a try. I came in and the restaurant and it was somewhat small but that was ok for me. I got seated in a booth and the booth had duct tape all over it. It wasn't a small patch either. Both sides had more than half of the seat covered in duct tape which was coming off. I got the hibachi, sushi, and some other food. The hibachi was great, the sushi was ok, everything else was ok as well. Also on top of that since the hibachi was good I wanted to get hibachi again only to find the hibachi was closed at 7:30 prime dinner time. No sign no nothing that says it closes. However the service is not good either as the waitress we had only checked up on us once in the beginning and we had to ask for our waters to get filled. I would not recommend this place, the only thing that saved this place is the hibachi. read more

Pretty good for a typical Chinese restaurant, but not the best. The food was pretty good, especially the honey chicken and the buttered potatoes, but it wasn't amazing. Some of it was kind of flavorless, though, like the fried rice and the salmon. A lot of the food was pretty generic. However, the service was quite good to make up for it, but then the dessert selection was sub-par. They had things like jello and fruit... nothing too exciting. A couple desserts you could tell were store bought, too, but at least they tasted ok. Overall, I would come back, but I've had better. read more

Eww ewww . I can not believe anyone would eat here or give it a good review . When I carpet is black and tacky- you know why :(. Get out. The soda machine is corroded and jacked up. Saw patrons put things back and staff said nothing. The food is horrible. I couldn't wait to write this review. Please save yourself the illness! read more

This is my favorite Chinese buffet in the area. I have been coming here for years. In my opinion, they have the best selection of food compared to others. I don't think the selection is quite as big, however they have most of the items I go for like...general Tsos, crab salad, sushi options, and the best Crab Rangoon's I've ever had. Unfortunately, they have stopped doing crab legs during dinner hours. But that's most likely due to COVID, and is understandable. They even lowered their prices on Sundays. Before it used to be dinner prices all day, but now it's lunch prices earlier in the day, and my friends and I go almost every Sunday now. Lastly, I see other reviews saying the food is all fake seafood and horrible. Personally, I don't expect most Chinese buffets to have extremely high quality for food the cheap price your paying. If you want authentic, real Chinese/seafood then go to a fancy expensive restaurant. This place has good tasting, Americanized Chinese comfort food and I'm all for it. read more

Grand Buffet has been around for awhile. I've been to this suburban restaurant many times, both for lunch and dinner. It's in a large shopping center with plenty of easy parking. Their buffet offers your typical choices, like lo mein and fried rice, is clean, and has a tasty, slightly greasified hot and sour soup that I like. Last I checked, they offered a full menu to order from, but I've never tried that. But why bother, since their buffet will feed you silly, and on the cheap which probably explains why they're usually crowded. Stop by if you're in the mood for Chinese. read more

I don't eat here regularly so I don't have sentimental attachments to this place which is why I am so upset at these good reviews for one of the most lackluster buffets I have seen. The reviews were misleading as this is a basic ordinary buffet joint with a very limited selection of food. The quality of the food is weak in that the fried rice tasted old and unflavored and the meats tasted dry and stale. The staff, though, was attentive and so I added an extra star for that. just came back from another buffet that surpassed this place and helped me leave this bad taste from my mouth Do not come here if you like good food. Come here if you don't care. I wish I had listened to the bad reviews read more

When we got there all of the food was cold. We ended up not saying anything and eating again. I got up to go to the bathroom and there was a big dead roach by the ice cream and another squished baby roach by the mens bathroom. We ended up not finishing our food and when we had shown the lady the roaches she said the exterminator comes once a month and that its probably the weather. Thats definitely not something you should say to a customer because it obviously happens often with the "weather". Had my 4 year old son with us and he was even disgusted and yelled that someone needs to clean the thing up. I will never come back or recommend this place to anyone read more

Never coming back. Im not sure why I even stepped food in this place. You immediately feel like the place is mucky and when we were seated in a booth the sit caved in. That should of been a sign we should of left. But my husband and I stayed. The waiter was rude he gave us the water and threw the straws on the table. Food was gross. Left after 10 mins. read more

Best buffet in the area. Large selection of food, clean, staff is very nice, sushi is good too. Their dessert has a large selection too.

there was a silver sponge piece in my general tso chicken. not a lot of food options, the food isn't even hot & the fruits look unappealing. they did take $10 off of my check but my whole experience was not worth it. the bathroom is also dirty and the trash can is a bucket. read more

Stopped here at approximately 1845 tonight before heading back home (3.5 hour drive). Food was fresh, hot and quite tasty. No complaints about any of the buffet food we ate. Two and a half plates and I was extremely full. Will definitely go back if in the area. Only complaint would be that I would prefer paper towels in the restroom so that after washing and drying your hands, a paper towel can be used to open the door (sanitary aspect). read more

I wasn't impressed at all - we stopped here for lunch around 2pm during the week and there were several tables filled. A lot of the dishes were not labeled and since I have some food allergies this was like playing Russian Roulette. I thought something was a potato and it was fish - spit that right out! I took a dumpling and it tasted sour. There was plenty of chicken dishes - sweet and sour, coconut, general tso, sesame, chicken & broccoli - I really only like the coconut chicken. The other chicken dishes lacked flavor. The pepper steak was nothing special. The price was great - we would have spent more at a fast food burger place for the 3 of us. But the food wasn't great and the person taking our drink order and clearing our plates seemed genuinely disinterested. read more

Not much absolutely nothing good about this place. The tables were very sticky and gross, the chairs were uncomfortable and also gross, and the staff was very timid. The food looked stale and very disgusting. The only palatable looking thing was the chicken tenders. How ever when i gave them a taste they were also disgusting. I was only there for about 15 minutes before i needed to leave because i was grossed out. Also im not hypocritical, i literally only ate the chicken tenders due to how vile everything else looked. read more
