Very few things were good about our dinner on 7/17/2026 at Grand Azteca. The tortilla chips and salsa were excellent, but after that, the visit quickly went downhill. The waitress did not greet us. Instead, in a rushed and unsmiling way, she said only, "What do you want?" Our dinner plates arrived 10 minutes apart. Meat was full of gristle and large pieces of fat, so much so that after I'd cut out the gristle and fat, less than one-third of my meat was left. In the fajitas, the chicken was so overcooked that it was hard. The fajita chicken and beef arrived in a deep pool of oil. The tortillas were hard and barely lukewarm. The waitress mever checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Instead, we had to leave to table to find her, to get out check. We won't return. read more

Decent Mexican chain. Got chori pollo, a popular chicken dish on their menu. Includes rice and refried beans. I substituted tortilla with salad. The highlight of this place is its decent Mexican food coupled with generous portions. It is operated and run by people of Mexican decent - servers, managers, etc. Menu is expansive with multiple categories- fajitas, platters, burritos, enchiladas, salads, etc - and within each there are recommendations that are highlighted. Price was upwards 15$-$20 but again portions are generous. Many servers were of Mexican descent, some with little English fluency. It was a bit hard to communicate. Chips & salsa (light hint of spice) given while overlooking the menu. The salsa was so good, i ate half my plate then finished off the chips & salsa! My waiter was was nice & attentative. He gave me just enough time to look at the menu & decide. There is A LOT on the menu. He said a couple spanish phrases which i understood because i understand basic Spanish. I fear for him coming across an ignorant "this is America. Speak english!" type of person. The staff speak Spanish to one another. After I was given my bill, he took the order of the table behind me & didn't speak spanish to them so maybe he just thought i understood. My food came out SUPER fast. I went to the restroom. The aroma inside is AMAZING I cannot believe I've never discovered this place until cinco de mayo I feel embarrassed lol! Now THE FOOD oh my days YALL. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. LITERALLY THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. THIS IS THE DEFINITION ON TRADITIONAL FOOD. The green verde sauce was so tasty and it had the kick to it where it made my eyes water and mouth burn but it was so good I was scarfing it down with no complaints. We had a table of 5 right before closing and they still served us and gave us the freshest tasting everything! My experience here was out of this world. Everyone was so friendly and I have nothing bad to say about the whole thing. The only thing I would say is odd is the one bathroom stall in the womans restroom lol. My boyfriend always gets the "Burrito Azteca" which has basically every kind of meat stuffed in a burrito topped with more meat and pineapple. He has been asking to go back every day since. Got take out from here earlier this week for my family. The food was bland and weird. The cheese on my wife's enchiladas was like a low quality pre shredded cheese you'd get from Walmart, while my crispy tacos were soggy and falling apart. I'd say none of the food tasted good but that would mean it had a taste. We all got food poisoning from this place and only just got better four days later. I've had better Mexican food at Taco Bell. I'm not sure where to start because this is the BEST Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered the chorizo-steak which came with three flour tortillas and I swear I ate the whole thing and wanted to come back an hour later. The steak was so tender and fall off the fork, it made for the perfect meat for my tacos. The chorizo and beans with the steak made the tacos even better. For my meal I had LA Favorita, a chicken burrito, a tostaguac, and a chalupa. I ordered a side of guacamole. It was bland. All of my meal elements tasted like nothing. The chips were fresh, but our table of 6 had to ask for more twice. The salsa was mild and milder. We asked for hot, and some green salsa was brought out. It was so hot we had to mix our own version. I've probably been here over 200 times in the last 5-6 years and have enjoyed each and every trip. The soft taco and ultimate nacho combination is heaven on earth for me. The white cheese, which I believe is Oaxaca cheese, that they use for the tacos and nachos is to die for. The food is always fulfilling, service always attentive and quick to respond to any needs you may have and the prices are reasonable. Great experience here! My margarita was perfect and the ranch dip, salsa and fresh tortilla chips were perfect. We ordered 2 arroz con pollo and they were amazing. The manager Gustavo was very personable and came by our table to bring us to go boxes and some small talk.
