    Pasta first dish

We have wonderful time in the restaurant. Our hotel is walking distance to the restaurant. It is located at the town center busy street which the restaurant name is name after the street name. It is a busy restaurant. Our tour director has plan this meal. Our reservation with table set for us. Venice is not famous on pasta. Yet our first dish is pasta. We have the penne pasta with veggie and light cream sauce. It is delicious. The main course is the veal with lemon cream sauce. I like it. The veal almost taste like pork in most Italian food. They are tender. I do like their salad because of their good extra virgin olive oil. We end our night with mousse cake. Overall is good. Service is good. We enjoy our time there.

Air-Cured Meat starter: the squeeze of fresh lemon juice was a unique and welcome addition.

As the guidebook instructed, we boarded the vaporetto at the train station, allowing us our pick of places to sit or stand and giving us a cheap tour of the entirety of Venice's Grand Canal. As we neared the last stop on the actual isle of Venice though, a decision was needed. The vaporetto leaves the canal and heads out to the isle of Lido. Why not? The isle of Lido proved to be a perfect destination for a very nice Sunday mid-afternoon lunch. We wound up at Gran Viale, choosing it over any other Lido dining establishment for 2 reasons. First, it was full of people, so full that we we're surprised they had a seat for us. Second, 98% of the customers appeared to be Italian, feasting here on their main meal of the day. To say I wished I was from a large Italian family is understatement. I was jealous that my son and I couldn't sample even 1/8 the food being served to the tables surrounding us. Still, we did okay. Gran Viale is definitely a place for locals and, owing to their island location it's little surprise that they specialize in fresh seafood. Their menu is extensive though so we sampled from several categories: Air-cured meat was a starter, followed by Gnocchi in Spider Crab Sauce, Fresh Grilled Sole (22euro), a marvelous Tiramisu (5.5euro), and wine, of course. Meals here are leisurely and the food is excellent. In fact, this might have been my favorite meal in Venice simply because it felt so authentic. In the off-season, when there's seemingly no real reason to head out to Lido, think again. Gran Viale is a great excuse to remain on the vaporetto past the stop you intend to get off at.

Quick with good and friendly services. No complaints about the food, good quality and tasted great. I would return!

@justpadge_eats Tonight we dined as a group and it took all 33 of us to a fabulous restaurant. The staff was amazing and I'm in love of the service on the left, clean up from the right. More house red wine followed by the first course of Stuffed Tortellini and a light cream sauce and Ham. Again with light sauce, this trip will totally change the way I eat pasta back home. Next was Chicken Something and a Mixed Green Salad. The chicken was a tad on the dry side, but the sauce was so flavorful I almost forgot it was. For dessert it was a Chocolate covered Cream Puff, nuff said. Satisfying end to a great day getting to know more folks on the tour.

This was the first Restaurant we decided to check out our first night in Venice, Italy. This is an Upscale place. Elegantly designed and Super fast service. I ordered the Lasagna Classico and it was AMAZING! One thing i have to say about the Italian culture, they don't like you to take up their tables. When your meal is complete, they want you gone. As soon as you finish something ( or they think your finished ) someone comes by and swoops it up. Not that it's a bad thing. They seem to stand at your table Subtlety to say Hurry up! PS - When you ask for H2O they want to kno if you want Gas or no Gas? Code word for Seltzer

This is half of an order of the lobster pasta. They list on the menu that you should share the full portion with 2 ppl min.

Upon arrival, the owner was sitting at a table drinking wine. There weren't any people dining, so we were the only ones. The servers and cooks were very attentive. We were immediately greeted and seated while our drink requests were taken. We always choose still water. Today, we decided to try a wine tasting, which included a blend of whites of reds from the region. The waiter explained in detail the type of wine, where it is made, what type of grapes it is made with, and the year it was made. All of the wines were very delicious. Italy takes great pride in their wines and rightfully so. We requested bruschetta and presciutto. We were given fresh, warm bread, which we mixed with salt, pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. The bread was amazing. It had a soft, warm inside and a crunchy outside. Isn't that they way bread should be served? The bruschetta was delicious as was the presciutto. The food, wine, and service were superb. We vowed that we would return for dinner, but alas, we didn't make time to do so. This is a great restaurant!

Location is very nice, right at a pretty trendy canal, filled with lots of restaurants and bars. Right next to is an excellent gelato place. It's quite small inside with few tables, many just hang around outside - and why not, the location at the canale is a pretty spot. We did manage though to get some seats inside. Our Bulldog was very welcome here as well. The various cicchetti are presented at the counter. There are some classics of course, but also some very innovative creations. We went for the latter. There was gorgonzola with strawberry, radicchio with brie cheese, pesto topped with an anchovie and mushrooms, mashed fava beans with pulp and mashed fava with goats cheese and a cherry. All really wonderful combinations. Our favorite were the radicchio and the fava/goat cheese. Surely something to recreate back home. Staff was very friendly, we felt very welcome here. And instead of focussing on Aperol, Select and Prosecco, it's mostly about white and red wine here. And they have an excellent selection of wine. Not all cheap, but definitely worth the money. We especially loved the Pinot Nero "Terre di Giotto". A brillant cicchetti bar. Definitely a place we come back to next time in Venice.
