Wonderful service as soon as you enter the door! The food was flavorful, great price for the amount of food they give, and so authentic! They have music playing and wonderful decorations that make this place feel like a cultural hub to enjoy the food and company.

This place is the worst. Flood had mold. They changed the price without notification. Horrible service. They are not true Dominican.

It also came with some plantain chips, which was a nice touch. I would definitely go back to try other sandwich options. The place is super cute and cozy inside. They have seating and outside, and it appears a lot of people also take their orders to go. The service was good. It was quite busy on Sunday morning. So, the team was definitely running around supporting multiple orders. We also had to wait a bit to be seated because of how popular the spot is. Parking is street parking, but I was able to find one fairly easy and close to the place.

It is incredibly disheartening that in a society where love and marriage doesn't last, children don't see their parents demonstrate love for each other and furthermore many end in divorce, for those that keep their love strong through the years, others frown upon it. We will not be returning to our favorite cafe because of their disallowance of our demonstration of this sort of affection together. Next time, weigh the value of people's complaints and opinions. Sometimes, people complain for many reasons, you have to evaluate when to listen to who and who at the end of the day are making the business decisions for your company, and whether they align with your mission and values in the community you serve.

Our favorite time to visit is Sunday brunch, especially since they have a special menu. We recently came for Father's Day, and even though Julio was celebrating as a father himself, he was working incredibly hard to make sure every guest had a great experience. You can really see how much heart and dedication he pours into his business. As expected on Father's Day, there was a bit of a wait, especially since we were a larger party, but none of us minded. To thank us for our patience, Julio generously brought out croquetas for the table on the house, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I can't recommend Trigo Café enough. The food is consistently excellent, the service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels like home. While brunch is our favorite, their lunch and dinner are just as great, and the new tapas and wine area they recently added is a fantastic addition. If you haven't been, you're missing out!

I stopped by after the lunch rush to have a hialeah heat sandwich was the perfect version of typical cuban sandwich with a kick. I loved the touch of spicy in my sandwich. I also had a cafe bom bom that was really good. Loved the condensed milk. The girl who served me was very attentive to me when I visited and helped me with any questions i had; made me feel very welcomed. When i couldn't finish my coffee she packed it up for me in a to go cup.

The cafe is decorated with colorful artwork and crafts, and has tables that double as game boards. My wife and I stopped in for an iced cafe with lait, and wandered around the adjacent craft stalls inside the complex while we were there. I was also happy that they had jars of Haitian spicy peanut butter for sale, and I've been enjoying that since our visit. You can enter the cafe from the street or from inside the complex... its an informal counter with self-service tables. There is a simple menu with coffee, Hot chocolate, and small bites that regularly change. They were out of the sweet potato bread the day we went, but I understand it's a favorite. The focus is on the coffee... smooth yet strong... very flavorful! A nice, simple place to stop and take in the day.

I ordered akra- taro root fritters- served with pickles (basically cole slaw that was pickled). It was all delicious. Also ordered a cafe au lait which was truly one of the best cups of coffee or espresso that I've had since being in Miami. Will definitely return and try other items on the menu! Great place to sit and enjoy the day.
